This was the first time we ordered from here. The cashew shrimp was really tasty. This is something we usually order when riding Chinese and was the best. The fried dumplings were really good. It's your typical Chinese place. It's not going to "wow" you but the food is always good and prep time is quick. They're a good option for take out or delivery, but while they have indoor seating, it doesn't appear they offer it at this time (perhaps due to COVID). I live in Cortland, they deliver to my house... therefore it's our go-to Chinese place. So here's the real deal.... it's probably some of the best "American Chinese" I've had. It's always hot and fresh. And super tasty. Always crunchy when it's supposed to be (not soggy). They give us extra sauce when I ask. They make it extra spicy when I ask. I've never had a problem with my order. Ok ok.. so once we got an entree we weren't supposed to... on top of getting everything we were. So no complaints for free food - am I right? . And you can order online.. who likes talking to an actual person anymore!? And it comes pretty quick - like 30 minutes on a Friday night - what!!?? When we have done pick up it's ready in like 15 and everyone I've dealt with there is super nice. They deserve extra tips and always get one from me! I ordered for delivery because I am in the hospital. The food arrived sooner than promised and was still piping hot. I got every thing I ordered. The scallion pancakes were soft and chewy not crispy. But that might be style choice. The rest of the fried foods were crispy, not soggy or greasy. The 'seafood' in the 'flat noodles with seafood' consisted of shrimp, scallops, and imitation crab. Staying at Hope lake lodge, I checked places to eat/take out good Chinese food and came across this on yelp. After reading good reviews I stopped to pick up. Actually I'm happy that I went after the review because the food tasted good and the girl at the counter was very sweet and polite. We ordered Chicken broccoli, vegetables in garlic sauce and chicken noodle . All tasted great! If you are coming as guest in upstate NY, this is a good choice. read more

Their lunch specials are very reasonably priced, sesame chicken was crispy, not soggy, not greasy, not salty. The isn't a giant pool of sauce in my tray either, which is great. Went here with 2 friends to order take out. First off, the service was horrible, I had to repeat my order several times and they still messed it up. Then when I got home to eat my food, we were all extremely disappointed. We ordered beef and shrimp habachi and avocado/california roll. This taste of the habachi was absolutely digusting. We also asked if the beef was going to be steak and the chinese woman said yes. Also it was EXTREMELY chewy, hoping it was actually beef. Then, the avocado in my roll was not ripe and it was rock solid. Also the avocado and cucumber rolls that were packed on their own smelt like fish. If i wake up sick tomorrow I will not be surprised. so, time for a small (maybe no big deal or unwarranted) rant and to be clear I'm not saying I'm right or justified to complain... so tonight my daughter and I stopped to grab some Chinese' takeout for dinner. I went to this place in town because it was convenient. I grabbed one of the menus from the pile they had on the counter and placed our order. I am typically pretty good about looking at prices and so when I was handed the receipt to pay looked and thought "that doesn't look right". When I questioned the lady who took my order why the cost was higher she explained that the pile of menus was old and that the prices have gone up. She explained that most people call in or place their orders online so nobody complains. I told her I wasn't happy about having to pay more then what their menus stated she basically shrugged as basically to say "too bad". Menu price was $21.65 and what I was charged was $23.75; now I get it that having to pay $2.10 more then what the menu stated shouldn't be that big of a deal. I explained that it wasn't right and that they wouldn't be happy if it were the other way around or if their vendors did it to their business. They have the right to charge what ever they wish, but I also have the option to never give that location another dime and I will chose to do so. I have no issue with a company of any sort raising their prices. It happens every day, as a consumer I have the right to know the correct price upfront and chose to pay it or not. I should have just have just walked out and gone somewhere else, but chose to reluctantly pay because it's what we were in the mood for. I just will never give them my money. I don't need Chinese' food that badly. read more

First time here - will come back. Great lunch specials - plenty of food and very good. Service was excellent. This place was vacant for years - so glad they opened. I had the General chicken with park fried rice - very tasty. I also ordered the crab rangoons - this usually says a lot about the place. If they're good the rest is usually good - if the rangoons are poor the rest is usually poor. I'm happy to say the rangoons were really good. read more

Wife and I decided to try it out. We used to go many years ago to the Chinese restaurant which was in the same spot but closed long ago. This one is definitely better. Wife started off w/ negative attitude that it likely wouldn't be very good but really liked her bento box and came away saying she'd definitely go back. I ordered two dishes (small size of each) to check it out and was quite pleased with both the shrimp with snow peas (VERY fresh & crispy) and the sweet and sour chicken (lightly breaded, very nicely done). I was disappointed they didn't have sweet and sour pork but the menu IS pretty extensive. The shrimp were definitely good but not as super fresh as I like shrimp to be (and almost never get) The ambiance is nothing special but cleaner and brighter and more open than the restaurant that used to be there. Service was very prompt and friendly although the waiter's English was a tad below what I would have preferred. All in all, I'm very glad to see this nice new restaurant in Cortland and I recommend it without reservation. LATER EDIT: I want to mention that I've been back a couple of times and continue to enjoy the place, PARTICULARLY their appetizer of barbecue ribs. I ordered delivery from here so I can only speak for the food. I ordered two Philadelphia rolls, one spicy tuna and a spider roll. It was just plain gross, the salmon in the Philadelphia was not fresh, and spicy tuna had absolutely no flavor. The spider roll only had 5 small pieces, for an $11 roll it was a complete rip off and wasn't anything to speak of as far as taste. I would skip this place and go to Ithaca for good sushi. read more
