I don't know what happened to this place but I won't order there again and I used to order there a lot! The food was absolutely disgusting. The spring rolls and the egg rolls were in edible. The fried wontons were like cardboard and had no flavor. The egg foo young flavorless. And the crispy chicken and garlic sauce was dry, hard and no flavor. We had lunch specials, and a surprisingly large amount of food! I had Ma Po tofu and egg drop soup. I was allowed to substitute vegetable fried rice for the pork fried rice on the menu. Absolutely delicious dish, but the tofu is soft. You could do it with chicken, pork or beef as well. Probably the tastiest and freshest vegetable fried rice I've ever had. Wonderful, friendly and helpful service. Go for lunch, 11-3! Oh and the fried chips with duck sauce were excellent too! read more

I ordered Mongolian shrimp - very large shrimp!!! And General Tsao's tofu along with some veggie fried rice and it was all delicious. Chinese food often gives me digestive issues but this food did not! Service was great too - they took my order correctly and thoroughly over the phone and the order was accurate. A fantastic Chinese restaurant. A bit pricier than both in the area, but well worth it. They carry most of the American-Chinese good staples, but when you flip the menu around, you're looking at more traditional Chinese dishes, many of which are worth trying out. I'll personally recommend the cumin lamb (a bit spicy), black pepper shrimp, chicken and mushroom hot pot, and eggplant with garlic sauce. Their Peking duck is delicious, but you may want to call in advance to ensure they have it available. read more

I guess I'm a bit of a snob, because I never expected to find really good Chinese food up in the Southern Tier. Consider me humbled. Pulling up my fears ran up my spine. Well worn down neighborhood, obviously ravaged by river floods over the years. The building on the outside looked a bit drab, like a Soviet era gray slab building in Eastern Europe. But once inside you're back in the modern day-nice décor, interesting light fixtures, nice mix of booths and open tables. The staff is welcoming, young, energetic, and able. The hot and sour soup was terrific, not overly thick and almost like a clear broth rather than the brown base you normally see. Nice vinegar kick! We then went with the meat stuffed scallion pancake. Fried well, only as oily as this dish is supposed to be, nice dipping sauce. One tip-they should cut it crosswise into single bite portions rather than leave four very large pieces on the plate. Very savory. To go with this I ordered cucumber in garlic sauce. Nice chunks of Chinese cucumber with a garlic sauce with a subtle, but with zing. Bracing vegetal flavor to play off the pancakes. Onto the entrees, Kung Pao chicken and Ma Po tofu. Kung Pao looked like any other version we've had, but the flavors were deep. The Ma Po tofu was also terrific, and our hostess complimented us on the entrée choices as she said the two dishes complimented each other well. All in all I could see myself becoming a regular-portion sizes big enough that we have tomorrows lunch in the fridge tonight! read more

Great surprise here! This place is not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is clean and decent. The fried wonton chips and sauce are typical...but I had the Spicy Shrimp with Basil Sauce and it was really, really great! Jumbo fresh shrimp, sauce had fresh ginger, scallions, mushrooms, basil, black beans, Szechuan peppers, Broc, onions and more. Not oily at all, full of flavor, served piping hot on a beautiful plate. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Vestal/Endicott area; particularly if you plan on eating at the restaurant. It has good food, clean, nice ambiance for entertaining, great service, great selection. But they also have great takeout and it's really inexpensive. Love this place. Four of us had dinner on 4/2. The big hit was spicy three ingredient hot pot. Others had pork dishes and fish fillet in pepper sauce. Hot and sour soup and egg rolls as well. All delicious. The nicest people wait on you and it's apparent that it's a family run affair. Prior to last Thanksgiving we had a family feast (6 folks.) No one was disappointed.
