    Salmon Teriyaki Bento
    Dana S.

They have a huge menu with a variety of Japanese, Thai, and a few Chinese-style dishes, and they do everything well. They also have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. From bento to sushi to curry, I've never been disappointed with anything here. The portions are very good also. I order something new every time because there's so much to try, but I really like getting the bento since you get a nice variety of food to try, and their seafood salad is also very tasty. I haven't dined in in a while, but from what I recall the inside has nice ambiance and the food is plated nicely. It is pretty dim inside though. On occasion I've found the staff to be flighty or unhelpful, but I have no other complaints with them.

Stopped here while visiting my daughter for Easter weekend. We originally ordered for take out, as we haven't been fully comfortable dining in. But when we arrived to pick it up and saw that the dining room was warm and comfortable, we decided to dine in. The staff was very accommodating. They brought our dishes to the table with our beverages. The food was fresh tasting and delicious. The mixed vegetables were perfectly stir fried -- crunchy to bite but tender and tasty in the middle. The vegan sesame chicken was delightful, in a thick sweet and savory glaze. And the eggplant had just enough garlic without being overpowering. The brown rice was a good choice. The final bill was very reasonable, and there were plenty of leftovers for my daughter to take back to her dorm.

Prior to COVID we've dined in several times. The inside is cozy with a big sushi bar. Nice ambiance. When dining in, they make sure to style their plates beautifully. The same applies for their takeout, it is arranged nicely. Their sashimi always tastes nice and fresh. The sushi rolls are about average for the better sushi places in the area. But their menu is quite extensive, one of the bigger menus in Binghamton, including Japanese, Thai, an fusion dishes.

Called in a lunch order for takeout and really enjoyed it! I got the shrimp Pad Thai and a spicy tuna roll. The roll was fresh and crunchy from the tempura flakes, honestly probably one of the best spicy tuna rolls I've had. The Pad Thai was a generous portion of rice noodles, jumbo shrimp and all of the right fixings. It did come with cilantro on top so if you are adverse to it, ask them to leave it out. If you put this place into google maps, make sure you turn after the intersection that leads up to the Aldi's if it's on the right hand side! The parking lots do not connect. All the staff and sushi chefs were wearing masks as well :)

First off, very friendly greeting. Taken to our table, wasn't even seated and we were asked what we wanted to drink, had no idea first time there and asked if we could have a minute or two. Looked over the menu we ordered, food came out the sushi and shashimi. Some was cold some was room temperature. The vegetables used for the shrimp tempura were apparently frozen because they were like mush, the batter was really thick. The other downside was I didn't use one of the soy sauce bowls. The waitress picked it up and put it back on the clean dishes. Literally took it off my table and put it back with the other clean dishes.Big red flag right there. And like I said the sushi and the sashimi some was cold. Some was room temperature, which tells me they're coolers are not up to temp. Not to mention, never even asked if we wanted tea or dessert. Just brought the check, it was like eating in a cafeteria. Will never go back. Strongly do not recommend this place.

This was the Treasury Island. An extremely fresh half of avocado with fresh sashimi slices to top it off. My favorite appetizer.

Don't let the outside fool you, probably the only reason this place isn't a five. Nice, small, quiet location to get really fresh sushi. When I visit my girlfriend in Binghamton, there is no question on where we are eating sushi. The waitress was extremely friendly, and again, the sushi is always fresh. It can be a little dim sometimes, so bring a flashlight if you are hard of seeing lol.

The food is great but service sometimes can be iffy. Rushed or barely any service the whole time you're there but like I said, food is bomb.

From the moment you walk in, the owners and staff make you feel like family. Watching them interact with hundreds of guests throughout the night--many of whom they know by name--you quickly realize how much they genuinely care about everyone who walks through their doors. After reading some of the negative comments, I want to address a few things. Yes, it's a busy place, especially on weekends, and it can get loud with multiple hibachi tables going at once. However, past concerns about ventilation and the availability of yum yum sauce have been addressed and resolved. As for the food, the sushi quality is without question the best in the area, and you'd be hard-pressed to find better outside of the city. We stopped ordering off the menu and let the sushi chefs create whatever the want for us. Never once have we not enjoyed what they made! They even offer an omakase experience, which--while more expensive--is absolutely incredible for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience. So ignore the bad reviews people wrote on here. Some people just will never be happy. Come experience one of the best Japanese Steakhouse's you'll come across and see why they rarely have a slow night.

And the restaurant seated us in an area that smelled like wet cats. Our waitress was attentive, she took our order and brought my cocktail from the bar pretty quickly. I first started with a miso soup, it was very good. I ordered the Chicken Katsu with white rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly, nice and crunchy. The plum dipping sauce? It was so salty, the same with the salad dressing. It threw off the entire meal. I'm from out of town, I'll never return.

Walking in it was fairly dimly lit and silent as I was to be the only diner. The staff was very friendly and got me seated with a menu at the sushi bar immediately. The menu was fairly baseline with a few signature specialty dishes but all consisting of the same ingredients. I order a Hot tea, the Sashimi lunch special which came with a Miso Soup & side of Rice as well as the Treasure Island appetizer to sample some of their more unique dishes. The Miso Soup was both warm and flavorful. The Treasure Island app was an interesting blend of sweet savory and fat flavors with fresh Mango, Avocado, Tobiko, Ponzu and diced fish's but it was unfortunately all just overtaken by the heavy Mayo and tempura flakes. The Sashimi lunch was presented fairly but the quality of the fish was sub par to say. All of the previous frozen variety and using Izumidai "tilapia" in place of Red Snapper. Overall it certainly was not the greatest Sushi dining experience for me personally and I would pass on the next opportunity to visit. That being said there seems to be very limited Sushi dining opinion this area and it was fairly reasonably priced 2 course lunch. 3.9/10 Very friendly staff, lower quality ingredients.
