I would give McCoy's chophouse a high recommendation. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and…read moreattentive. We went to the restaurant one month ago for 23rd anniversary dinner. We are excited to go to this restaurant because we have been there a few times before and the service and quality of the food was very very good. The time was the same just with a few adjustments. Of course it is a very busy restaurant and a very enjoyable dining experience. when our waitress who was very attentive asked if we wanted appetizers, and if we were celebrating anything, we did notify her that it was our anniversary that we had received a text message saying that we would be able to have a free appetizer. We did not have that text message, but they were very willing to honor a gift certificate. We enjoyed our appetizer and the bread and oils that they brought to us. Our entrées were ordered, and we had only a few hiccups with the temperatures of the meat. My wife and ordered a steak that would be well done and myself a medium rare steak. Upon arrival for hers, it was undercooked, but paced back on the grill and taken care of with no delay and hassle My steak was undercooked as well, but I had medium rare and it was just rare. They took mine entrée and took it back to the kitchen and recooked itiwith no discrepancy or issues. Upon our referred entrées, we had become full of the delightful bread oils and our appetizer that we were no longer able to continue on with our dinner due to being full. The experience was good and worth the time however there was some disappointment only because the kitchen was full and we had refilled the meals a few times. However, then management was very understanding and came over and talked to us about our concerns, and we explained that we were very excited to eat here and that we understood how busy they were and continue to plan return returning to the restaurant on a less busy night. The management said that the meal was on the restaurant that night and apologized for the inconvenience. I'm leaving the restaurant. The manager only has that we give the restaurant a second chance and come back. We will return to this restaurant. We enjoyed the ambience and the staff and my excellent excellent food.

Walking in it was fairly dimly lit and silent as I was to be the only diner. The staff was very friendly and got me seated with a menu at the sushi bar immediately. The menu was fairly baseline with a few signature specialty dishes but all consisting of the same ingredients. I order a Hot tea, the Sashimi lunch special which came with a Miso Soup & side of Rice as well as the Treasure Island appetizer to sample some of their more unique dishes. The Miso Soup was both warm and flavorful. The Treasure Island app was an interesting blend of sweet savory and fat flavors with fresh Mango, Avocado, Tobiko, Ponzu and diced fish's but it was unfortunately all just overtaken by the heavy Mayo and tempura flakes. The Sashimi lunch was presented fairly but the quality of the fish was sub par to say. All of the previous frozen variety and using Izumidai "tilapia" in place of Red Snapper. Overall it certainly was not the greatest Sushi dining experience for me personally and I would pass on the next opportunity to visit. That being said there seems to be very limited Sushi dining opinion this area and it was fairly reasonably priced 2 course lunch. 3.9/10 Very friendly staff, lower quality ingredients.

As they say it's a red flag when u walk into a restaurant and there's too many seats and not enough asses to fill them. And then my fiance his chicken he said tasted sour, I hope he didn't get sick like I did right after I feel like throwing up just writing this. As my mother would probably say "this tastes trouble" but unfortunately my fiance is too introverted to say anything, thank fuck we didn't order any appetizers too, wouldn't want more food to go to waste in this establishment. Oh can I mention the bugs too? There were ants on our table, ants, they probably got worse and the bathrooms soap pump doesn't work so they had to put another whole bottle separately on the sink for people to use. And guess what.. the manager still charged us for the dish that tasted like nothing even tho I only tasted a small bit of it, for that, you can go fuck yourself. As for our server, hun, when a customer is trying to be nice and understanding u don't say "ok" dismissively multiple times, you need to learn how to be a good server and learn how to serve your customers.. and for that, yes I left that no tip on purpose. I tip very well usually but when a service is absolutely horrible like that and the manager just decides to be petty? You won't be getting anything from us at all. Save the time and effort, drive somewhere else.. this place will never be worth it, besides you'll be stuck at the entrance for about 5 mins or so before a server gives a shit about ya anyways.

Perhaps you can reach out to Pat at Thai Thai restaurant on upper court Street in Binghamton and get her peanut sauce recipe? It is superior to any we've had. The grilled shrimp appetizer wasn't grilled but appeared to be done on a flat top. Cooked, not grilled. My Pad Thai was different than any I've had. Rice noodles were thinner and would stuck together making it difficult to eat. More like long thin rice spaghetti that needs a knife to eat. I found I was grabbing up globs of noodles without a knife. Chicken in the dish was ground having a different take on any others I've had. I liked it. Would be nice to have a spice rack when seated so we could add more spice rather than having to choose 1-5 and hope for the best. For the price they should give you extra napkins without asking and ice water when you sit down. I've never had Pad Thai as good as at the Thai Thai restaurant I mentioned earlier in Binghamton. I hope you reach out to Pat and get her recipe for that as well. It's the best! I always get chicken and shrimp Pad Thai there and it's the best we ever had. Delicious! As far as ambiance at the taste of thai, the place has none. Only a ladies room at the entrance, men's room closed. We'll go again in a month and hope they take our advice.
