This is definitely a hidden gem in Ithaca! It's a cozy and intimate spot with limited seating so I recommend getting there before 6:30pm because it got busy quick. It's located next to the DMV so there's plenty of parking out front. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter was very friendly. We also shared a bottle of the Smoking Loon Pinot Noir (not pictured) that was a perfect pairing to our dishes. The Gyoza had the perfect crunch and edamame came with a spicy chili oil that I poured on to my Pad Thai, it added an extra kick of spicy. It comes in a big bowl and I had plenty to take home for leftovers. I always enjoy a good crème brûlée crack test and this one definitely did not disappoint. It was delicious. I can't wait to come back to try the ramen!

In my book, this is one of the tastiest, cutest and best valued restaraunts in Ithaca. $20ish bucks after tax and tip for very generous portions of interesting winners like seafood pasta loaded with garlic and real flavor, salmon squid ink or green curry pasta, etc. It's all tasty, the price is incredible for what they're serving, and the aesthetic is moody and charming. Black and white tile flooring, warm low lighting, tree branches (or something like that on the walls).

Don't let the location in ithaca fool you! This is a gem in the wall! Tucked in a slightly odd spot, but boy am i glad i tried this! Not only is the ambiance very chic, quaint, and lovely but the food was great! They have a perfect sized menu. Not large but plenty of choices. Everything was cooked perfectly. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Everything came out to us in a timely manner and the serve checked on us every so often giving privacy but assistance as needed. The wine selection is pretty good but limited what you can have just a class of opposed to having to buy a whole bottle. Luckily, we wanted the bottle. They've got wonderfully delicious and unique non-alcoholic drinks. I ordered the rose soda and it was delicious! I would absolutely dine in here again. If you decide to go here expect to pay a little more than your normal asian dining. They do take out which i would also do as well! This is a must try!

I've been here several times now and there has never been a wait. It's definitely because of the location, which is frankly horrible. The plaza that they're located in frequently has some very sus individuals who just might mug you. However, the food is actually quite good, especially by Ithaca Asian standards. It's not the most authentic food - there's bacon ramen on the menu (lol) - but it tastes good! I'm a sucker for all of their seafood ramen options, which are all delicious and reasonably priced. Service is also always quick and the restaurant is clean.

the most unsuspecting restaurant I have ever been to! It really looks like nothing when you walk in as it's located in a strip mall with a DMV next door and a gas station in the parking lot. DONT LET THIS FOOL YOU! The interior is smaller and has a few seats for couples or a larger party. It's interestingly decorated with branches on the side and a few flowers. The food and cost of food is the real winner here. I was really expecting nothing coming into this, but the food was absolutely delicious. I would easily pay 5x the amount in NYC for the same dish. Starters: We ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts and the fried chicken mango salad to start. Both delicious, the brussel sprouts came with fried shallots and lemon and made a great pairing. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the mango shreds and salad. Main meal: we ordered the squid ink pastas, pad Thai, and the spicy bacon pastas. SO. GOOD. the seafood squid ink pasta was a bit spicer than expected and I asked them to lower the spice a bit. The pastas were all so amazing, noodles were chewy and had great flavor. Also priced very reasonably, for $15-$20 a dish! The salmon in the pasta was a large piece and could easily share a dish with someone else. Overall definitely coming back whenever I'm back in the Ithaca area!!

    Fried Chicken Mango Salad

My friend was raving about the Fried Chicken Mango Salad and I believed her once I took the first bite - the chicken is fried to perfection and the creamy yet fresh dressing complements the salad and chicken so well! We also enjoyed the Spicy Seafood Squid Ink Pasta, which offered a slight smoky flavor that was balanced well with the flavorful (and big) shrimp served alongside. The interior is more intimate and ideal for small gatherings or dinner dates. Now adding here as a must-visit spot the next time I go to Ithaca!

The food was unique and delicious, with large portions. Service friendly, and atmosphere cute. Highly recommend.

When I'm craving Ramen this is my Ithaca go to spot. Whether it's carry out or dine in you don't find a more delicious meal in Ithaca. And did I hear you say that you loved roasted Brussel sprouts? Well look no further. A hot bowl of yumminess awaits you at this spot. Don't delay and let them know I sent you!

I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner at MIX, and all with varying levels of enjoyment. My recent…read morebrunch experience included ordering a Where the West Begins omelette, which includes "Braised short rib, butternut squash, red onion jam, spinach, smoked gouda". I wasn't sure how to feel about butternut squash with everything else (I'm not necessarily a huge squash fan - but I'm trying to learn to enjoy it), but the omelette was decent... it's the other side on my plate that looked less than appetizing. The biscuit was still covered in flour (and who wants to bite down on a clump of flour?), the cheddar hashbrown casserole lacked in flavor, and the brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal just... wasn't doin' it for me. Other recent experiences have been similar... there's usually one item on the plate that's flavorful or imventive (sometimes a main dish, sometimes a side), and the other parts of the plate are lacking. In reality, I think MIX is suffering a bit from rising food costs and inconsistency in their service and offerings. They've also changed the style of their menu from the original tapas-style to now being more typical entree options. Again... they've lost some of their innovative, experimental approach. In terms of ambiance, it really depends. I've been here for a work event and, because of the number of people, it was SO LOUD... they had also done a buffet offering for the event. As you can imagine, the food from the buffet was lacking, but that's often what happens when you're more mass producing your food (and it's left in a chafing dish, trying to be kept warm). On the other hand, I've been here for a dinner on a random night and was able to enjoy one of their Thai noodle bowls (and split some other apps with friends). The reality is that experiences at MIX are... well... a mix. Whether service, menu offerings, etc., I've found MIX's recent inconsistencies to be a disappointment. Will probably only visit in the future if it's suggested by others.

We are talking about great execution on basic french dishes here with excellent service on the commons. It's also the most elegant of the restaurants in the commons in my opinion. None are particularly elegant, but Cent-Dix feels the nicest. A must get is the beef tartare. It's so good, it's better than many tartare's I've had in france. Just hands down an easy winner. To cut it's richness I think you should get the Frisee aux Lardons. No matter the table size this is a perfect salad. You can always get more salads or greens, but if the table size is 2 or 6, everyone will like this. The fat, acid, bitterness is perfect. Steak frites are amazing, but even better is the cote de bouef on Saturdays. Either way you won't go wrong, but this restaurant does steak so well, and has good wines to pair with the steak. I've personally never had room for dessert, but everyone always orders it and I have some. It's good, but my favorite is that the espresso machine is always running after dinner for a nice pick me up before my walk on the commons!

The Fresca was our favorite, with fresh pesto vibing great with the arugula. The Marg was sweeter and vibrant. The Arrab may not be to everyone's taste: it's spicy and bitter (Italian parsley and capers), but again, fresh ingredients make it delicious. Others have commented on the crust. This is a more Sicilian, focaccia-like crust than it is a NY crust, which would be flat and crispy. You can tell Adelina's really pays attention to this foundational element because 1) it's airy, crispy and soft, while maintaining a slightly chewy texture; and 2) they have a manifesto about it on the menu.
