I've been to many other tai chi bubble tea locations but this was by far the worst ramen I've ever had, I had to throw it out. I ordered the tonkonsku and it tasted like feet with mushroom powder. Inedible. Also ordered a sushi burrito and it was pretty bad too. They put tomatoes in the sushi burrito and the flavors just did not work and the wrapper was too small. This location likely just needs more oversight with the food part, the tea was good after waiting 2 hours for it to cool off. read more

Taichi is one of my absolute favorite places. Their poke bowl is my favorite! I'm never out this way, so it was my first time to this location. It's in the old Friendly's express, right inside the door at the food court. They had an ad for the cheesy foam in the window, and I saw online that it was good, so I decided to try it. I got a peach smoothie with the cheesy foam, and a tofu poke bowl. When my order was ready, they didn't give me a tray, and I had sides of spicy mayo. They weren't inside the box, and it was hard to carry with my drink, so I dropped them on the floor. Luckily they didn't break, but no one offered to help me, or get me new ones, since you know, they were on the floor. And they were not busy, and several people were working. It was just strange. No one really even seemed to notice at all, even though I was the only customer there. The cheesy foam was ok. It's more like a cream cheese taste, but I really didn't taste it much at all. I don't think I'd get it again. The smoothie part was good. If I'm at Eastview again, I'd eat here, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this one. The tables were dirty, even though no one was there. And they were more interested in their conversations than they were with me. And the bowl wasn't very full. Some are better than others. This was ok. My wife and I stopped here today for lunch. We were shockingly impressed with the quality of the food! We got to choose everything in our ball based on the checklist menu. Easy Peezy! The interior of the restaurant appeared very clean, despite the handwritten signs. The person taking our ball order could've been slightly more welcoming and this would've been a perfect experience here. Especially for a food court mall restaurant. 2nd time here. I irdered a Zang Zang matcha with tapioca. It tasted completely off. It had a thick scratchy consistency and spicy hint to it. I love matcha and get matcha drinks often so it's not my first time trying matcha. I'm guessing they use a very low quality matcha. The tapioca turned out to be exactly like boba which I don't like .. the only tapioca I've ever had is white and small balls (photo attached)... honest mistake. They acted like I was crazy talking about white tapioca. I asked to please exchange the drink for a different flavor and without tapioca and they refused. The only thing they offered was to remake the drink .. why would I want them to remake a drink I didn't like? And if they're already remaking the drink, why can't they just remake a different flavor drink? It doesn't make any sense. They didn't even offered a refund. At any other place they usually exchange your drink or food if it isn't to your liking.. or at the very least a refund. I left the full drink there and walked away. Terrible service and won't be coming back. First time I came I got a poke bowl. Poke isnt any better. I asked for onions in my poke and they threw huge onion chunks. I literally had to pick them out and I could have made a second meal with just those onions. I'm guessing the only reason they get any customers is because there isn't much competition around. Try having this low quality food and nasty service in places like SoCal where they actually have good quality drinks/food and service. read more

I love Tai Chi, but this is probably my least favorite location. Every time I come here, the tables are dirty, and the floor is disgusting. If we get boba here, we try to take it to-go instead of inside, which is too bad because the decor is pretty cute. The staff here can be a little cold as well and not super accommodating. Stopped by here while on a visit in Rochester - its been a few years, but I used to frequent their other Rochester locations. Unfortunately, the matcha I ordered went right into the trash. It was grainy, tasted like 200% sugar despite putting less sugar, and tasted like very poor quality matcha. My drink was more or less like it's been at the other locations but it was a little less sweet than usual. Overall the drink was good but the wait was long and the customer service was medium. Fantastic sushi burritos and boba smoothies! Cute interior, too, and the employees were friendly and helpful. We got our smoothies "less sweet" and definitely recommend that route -- it was still quite sweet. The sushi burrito was the best I have had yet. The ingredients seemed fresh and the rice was delicious. I recommend the yuzu sauce if you like a more vinegar-y sauce -- it was so so good! read more

This location has significantly improved since my last review. I normally visit when it isn't busy so I can't comment on times when they have a long line, but the last time I visited it was also not too busy. The issue then was that it took 20+ minutes to get one drink and it seemed the workflow was inefficient, but I think they have worked out the kinks. The last few times I've visited I didn't wait more than five minutes or so for my drink. I'm glad to see that they've improved their system and I hope they continue to do so, because the bubble tea really is good. read more

Ramen + Bubble tea: Absolutely amazing! I would definitely come here again. The food got out to us super quick and fast. Our favorites so far are the Taro Zang Zang and Thai Milk tea. I am a milk tea purist - Taichi milk tea is my go to and you can't change my mind! My girls on the other hand will try them all to find their favorite! Currently they love the Zhang Zhang Brown Sugar but Mango is also a fav! The Miso ramen broth is amazing - spicy and smooth and perfect with the noodles. We have had the pork slices and beef - both are melt in your mouth. I can't say enough about how much we love Tai Chi! read more

Went here around 11 am & they were not busy at all. Ordered a large mango bubble tea with extra boba & a small strawberry smoothie with no boba. It took over 15 minutes for them to make the bubble tea. Then the mango was very chalky & not up to par like their other locations. Maybe it is because they are a new location. What is the point of filling out the order card if nobody pays attention to it? I check the box for Take Out - I get an open box with food as if it's a Dine In order. No bag, no employee willing to offer one even as I tried to get their attention. I pick my dressing selection clearly - I get no dressing. I really, REALLY don't want to be "that person," but come on. There is zero excuse to mess up an order when you have a list detailing the order *right in front of you.* Also--the system for using the buzzers to announce when good is ready needs to be fixed. Currently, if you're ordering food and a drink, the staff will have your buzzer go off when ONE or the other is ready--and the food and drink are NEVER ready at the same time. So then you have this traffic jam of customers who have come up to the counter (already a narrow space) with their food ready but no drink, and the staff looking at customers all annoyed because they're not taking their food and getting out of the way--but how else are we supposed to get our drinks? Just guess when they're ready? This can be easily solved by not setting off the buzzers until the entire order is ready. It's disappointing that ALL of the Tai Chi locations have gone downhill since they first opened. I know this is one of the newer ones. But the owners cut a lot of corners, and they also affects the level of service. read more

Nope. This place is not up to par with the other locations at all. There was one sushi maker who was just rude to customers and seemingly other staff. Overall they are disorganized, and lost my order then put me to the end of the line of 5 other orders after realizing their mistake. The food and drink were fine when I finally got it. But it was just me and one other person when I walked in. They shouldn't have lost my order with just two people. Then a rush came in and it made it worse. Tai Chi needs to fix this location ASAP. No reflection on Sarah- who was apologetic and pitched in when I said something, and made a ton of drinks seemingly all at once to alleviate the wait. I'll stick with the pittsford location from now on though. read more

Smoothies are fun flavors but oh my goodness, you will wait FOREVER, no matter how busy they are. I went a few times and each time waited 25-30 minutes just for my drink. I don't know if they need more staff or what the issue is, but as a first responder I don't have that kind of time to wait for no reason. I love it! I think the smoothies are very delicious and fresh. I would recommend it to everyone. The only thing is it hurts my stomach sometimes won't all the milk so be careful with sensitive stomachs like mine. I've been there so many times and will go again anytime. Yelp took my first review down for no reason other than it was candid. I put two stars in the headline to fool the algorithm for a little longer this time. Guess you can pay to play with Yelp. Welp, here we go again. I give this place 1 star or 0 stars depending on how much Ramen you've had. I've had all Rochester has to offer as far as ramen and this is 'fast food' ramen. Which is fine, if you get it in ten or fifteen minutes. Otherwise, just make the instant stuff at home. If you have bought the ramen that Costco carries, this is a zero star review b/c that ramen that ramen is the same as this. Especially Costco's Tonkotsu Ramen. The only difference between the two of them is that Tai Chi adds fresh garnishes. Thats it. If you have had ramen at Shema, this a zero star review. Shema's ramen is great. As far as a substantive review, I've only been here once and will never return. Around first week of March, I went to the Eastview location in Victor after grabbing something from the mall. there was one person ahead of me in line, but lots of people sitting and waiting in the restaurant. I was in somewhat of a hurry which is why I was in the food Court. Order, no problem and was given a 'pager'. After 20 minutes of waiting I started to wonder if they lost my order. After 30 minutes, people who had ordered ahead of me started getting their food. About ten minutes later I asked a man behind the counter if he could tell me when my order would be up. He said he couldn't find my order. I showed him that I had a pager and my receipt. He admitted that they lost it and would make it right away. Had to remind them again that I was waiting for my order after waiting 15 more minutes. I waited at least one hour before I got my order. I was polite the whole time. When food showed up, I told the young woman at the counter that if you are running a fast food place, you should tell the customer if the wait is going to be longer than 20 minutes. She looked at me like I had two heads. Never again. read more
