Have been wanting to check out this place for a while. Their menu has a unique variety of sushi, appetizers, rice bowls and noodles. Their cuttle fish tempura and snow cheese fried chicken appetizers were amazing, perfectly battered and flavored! My son loved the sushi. The atmosphere and service was quick. Next time, I definitely hope to try one of their sizzling steak dishes like the sizzling steak and egg pasta. Portions look big and well worth it to share in groups.

Very busy place which tracks with the great food they have! Delicious sushi with a large selection of sushi rolls. They have many other things that are a must try. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacey.

Tried Esuki for the first time today. We found parking around the side of the building, by the Chipotle. There is also on street parking with a toll. Inside it is very clean, looks fancy but has a relaxing atmosphere. It was order at the counter when we went. We tried the snow cheese fried chicken appetizer and some sushi. Everything we got was great. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes!

Food was great , enjoyed the hot sake. The staff was friendly and the food came out fast. Street parking was easy.

The dining space. Very clean and simple.

A new Collegetown restaurant featuring Japanese cuisine. The space is beautifully and simply decorated and very clean. You order at the counter and pay. This is a self serve model so their wait staff only serve. Very efficiently, too. Many traditional and specialty sushi options available. We ordered 8 different rolls for 4 people. The sushi is tender and incredibly fresh and huge! Prices per roll range from $6 to $17. Well worth every penny.

The space is cozy and inviting, with booths wrapped around the conveyor belt so you can immediately start eyeing the plates gliding by. The sushi on the belt was fresh and tasty, though we noticed the selection leaned a bit heavily toward spicy‑mayo‑based rolls. Everything we tried was delicious, but we would have loved to see a little more variety for those who prefer something less saucy. Thankfully, the touchscreen ordering system made it easy to branch out. You can order drinks and à la carte sushi directly from the screen, and your items arrive on a dedicated upper‑deck conveyor that zips your order straight to your table. It's a clever setup and really helps round out the meal with more options. Drinks were delivered by an adorable robot, which added a fun, whimsical touch. Tables were cleared promptly, and the whole experience felt smooth and well‑run. We had a great time and will definitely be returning.

You are seated at a tablet in front of a conveyor belt with the sushi making it's way around the restaurant. You can take whatever catches your eye as it passes in front of you, or you can order from the tablet. If you order from the tablet, little cars bring the food on a second, higher conveyor belt above the first one, or sometimes a robot brings it to your seat. So there are 2 moving belts, robots, and servers. It's a lot! Fun, but be aware. It is cool that you can see things moving past and try different things. The plates on the belt are also less than a full order, which means you can try more things, if that's your style. Service is pretty quick since you're helping yourself from the belt. They do a good job making sure there is a variety of items on the belt and seemed to restock pretty quickly. You can mostly chose from rolls and nigiri. I do like American style rolls, and enjoyed the options. The guy prefers nigiri. We ordered some tempura and picked some nigiri from the menu as well. I really enjoyed the veggie tempura. They have good salmon - we tried the peppered salmon, which he thought was too much, but was smokey and peppery, and I enjoyed. There was also a spicy yellowtail, and plain salmon that was also nice quality. We shared an ice cream sundae with one of the little fish shaped cakes for dessert, which was really good. I liked the little cake with the red bean paste inside. It was fun and pretty low key.

We came here on a packed Saturday night when RIT's Nova group was hosting a fundraiser, so we got discounted AYCE and we knew a portion of proceeds were going to their organization. The wait was about 50 minutes at peak dinner time, so that was fair. I was very impressed with how clean and efficient everything was, including the cart at the end of the table for used dishes. Our food came out fairly quickly as we ordered on the tablet, and it was the kind of quality you always hope to get at a sushi joint: nice sized portions, very fresh tasting, lovely presentation. I appreciated that you could also help yourself to the rotating belt options for no extra charge. The only things we paid extra for were fountain drinks, and even those included refills (or so we were told - we only had one). The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. I hope whatever issues people experienced here in the past have been resolved because it sure felt like a top tier experience at an affordable price to me! I chose this place because it offers not only sushi but also some dim sum dishes. It's a great place to try something new. We waited almost an hour for a seat on a busy night, but since it's an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I think it was reasonable. There were about 10 people ahead of me on the waiting list, and the food quality remained delicious throughout the meal. The service was also keeping up with the demand. The sashimi was incredible. I can't say I don't like any sashimi, but I love them all. Almost every sushi and sashimi we ordered was delicious. However, there's one thing I don't care for: the sticky rice shumai/shu mai. We think it's lacking in flavor. Overall, we had a great time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was good. I do think there's room for improvement in the dessert menu. We went on a Wednesday evening and were the only people in the restaurant for a little bit, so I would definitely recommend coming out on a week night if you can! Our server was absolutely lovely. Super attentive, even with the fact he didn't have to take our orders. Topped off our waters multiple times, made sure we were enjoying, etc. Speaking of ordering, their system is awesome!! It was super easy to browse the menu and make our selections, and we didn't have to worry about any awkwardness. Might just be a me thing, but I sometimes feel self conscious putting in a big order when I have to actually say it out loud to a person, so their phone ordering system was super helpful in making me feel more comfortable. The food was really good! On par with many other sushi places I've been in Rochester. I don't eat meat, and there were still so many veggie options for me. I especially loved the veggie dumplings and tofu skin/avocado roll. My bf loved the spicy crab onigiri and the beef skewers. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. They are known as an all you can eat place, but we got two rolls for take away instead. From what I saw when picking up, the place looks nice enough inside, but nothing special. We ordered a Dream Roll and a 2 in 1 roll. Neither were that great and the dream roll was missing the tuna and salmon it was supposed to have and they used a crab stick instead of real crab which was disappointing as well. The 2 in 1 roll was ok but nothing special. I will say that the order was ready early and they were gracious enough to included eel sauce and spicy mayo on the side as I requested, because it was not available as an add on, so I am going to assume the service is solid. Unfortunately there are too many good sushi places in town to try this place again.

I can live off raw fish for life (pretty much what I did whenever I visit Japan). In all its dim and slow service grandeur, this place has the best fish quality among all the sushi places I've been in Rochester. Located off West Henrietta right by the Millenium Games place. So, if you have the time, this place is totally worth it for the 25$ all you can eat option. It's alacarte and the sushi chef makes really really good rolls. The inside is incredibly outdated, thus this place isn't what I call a formal upscale date place to go but if your date/friend can put down sushi and can appreciate good quality sushi, then this place definitely is a 5/5 for sushi. I once watched a table of people watching a soccer game on their ipads while enjoying the meal- very chill place. My husband and I super busy and despite it's incredibly slower wait time, it's worth it. It's one dude doing all of it - frying the agadashi tofu (very good btw), fried crab leg, and rolling the sushi. 25$ for an all you can eat ala carte sushi that you can check off the list. Osaka is the first all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant in Rochester with their Chili location. Henrietta came after which then Chili eventually closed. Admittedly, it's been a couple years since I've been to Osaka. Hearing the switch in ownership, I was curious if there have been any changes. It's a yes and no for me. Starting with the good, I can see the quality of the food hasn't changed much. The menu for the most part stayed the same, and the items taste exactly how they did years ago. This is a good thing because I actually have never had an issue with Osaka's food. They've kept their extensive menu, and the items I ordered stretching from appetizers to kitchen food, to sushi have been fine. The appetizers come hot and fresh from the kitchen. Although the fish for the nigiri/sashimi/rolls could be better quality, it is passable and I've never had an issue. Another thing I immediately noticed is their upgrade to better dinnerware. Better presentation for the food, and they say people eat with their eyes. Where I can see some improvement is the service. We found our server to be very dull and came off as if he didn't want to be there. He did his job, but the bare minimum. He took our order and delivered it to us. We can see smiles on other staff members except him, but this didn't take away from our experience. Overall, $35ish bucks per person is a steal and you can definitely get your money's worth.

The food itself is good, especially the variety of sushi, though portions are small, so you'll need to reorder if you're hungry. The beef fried rice was overly oily and not recommended. When we arrived just after opening, the restaurant was empty. The staff seemed distracted one on her phone, the others in the back so it took a few minutes to get our drinks. I had to call another staff member to order a second drink because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Keep in mind there's only 1 hour and 30 minutes to eat, so slow service can feel frustrating. The environment is dark and a bit outdated, and it gets very loud once more people arrive. Overall, I recommend Osaka Sushi for sushi lovers or a relaxed group of friends who aren't in a hurry. Make sure to order a big first round of sushi to avoid waiting too long between orders.
