This is all you can eat, but not buffet style. Which I found intriguing. I heard about it through a friend. Whether you choose all you can eat or not, you order off the regular menu, and they bring it out fresh to order for one set price. You can share with other people at your table, if they also order all you can eat. Which was another plus for me. It is also, what we decided to do. Our approach was to try a little at a time, so we could try as much as possible. We both ordered different things, with the intent on sharing. I ordered 2 sushi rolls. One I wanted and one my BF asked me to order. He is relatively new to Sushi. He ordered Beef Teriyaki, with steak, rice and Zucchini. My BF said he did not like Zucchini. But he loved everything about this dish. Real steak, the Zucchini was cut thick, so it had a nice crunch to it. The sauce was out of this world. Very different from Beef Teriyaki I've had at other Japanese restaurants. Lots of flavor, not salt. I really liked the Sushi rolls I ordered, but my BF ended up only trying 2, before he decided he wanted to move on to other things. Leaving me to finish the Sushi myself. Which filled me up pretty good. When I go back, I am not going to oblige him with that courtesy again. Haha! Next time I will order one roll, so Im not too full to try more menu items. It's quite the menu. If you do not like Sushi, no worries, they have a wide variety of hot dishes and appetizers. They have a food waste policy, which I thought was a huge plus. A lot of items on the menu are small plate foods, so it shouldn't be a problem. BF received his food first, there was a bit of a wait for the sushi, I heard a lot of people ordering a lot of Sushi upfront. Which probably backed it up a bit. But it was not a problem. I just helped BF eat his steak dish. lol. You do not have to order everything at once. Staff walks around checking on you keeping a close eye out. You can order more items off the menu as you go. The Ambiance was also very nice.Very comfortable, perfect for date, family, or friend nights out. They also had some whimsy, which is nice. Their Uniforms, have a Yoda saying on it. Which is definitely fun to note. The food was fresh,and delicious. A great way to upscale "all you can eat" I will definitely be back. Usually I cannot eat enough to make all you can eat worth it. But I would do it again here. Our bill was reasonable. But If I knew exactly what I wanted and it was less expensive than all you can eat. I would also order off the menu. This is my new favorite Sushi Restaurant. They do serve alcohol. Wine, beer, and sake. The beers are mostly Japanese beers. Staff were super friendly, happy, and helpful. They will walk you through the process. They have real menus, and also a QR code menu. The only improvement I would recommend, is that once they take your initial order. It would be nice to be able to use the QR code to order more items, instead of waiting on staff. I think it would work great with their food waste policy. But that's just a friendly suggestion. When I do reviews, I do take pics of the ladies room, if no one is in there. I think it should be normalized. Theirs was impeccable. The entire establishment was super clean. read more

Last night, we celebrated Valentine's Day at this restaurant. For the past few years, I've always cooked a special meal for my partner, but this year, we decided to go out. I chose this place because it offers not only sushi but also some dim sum dishes. It's a great place to try something new. We waited almost an hour for a seat on a busy night, but since it's an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I think it was reasonable. There were about 10 people ahead of me on the waiting list, and the food quality remained delicious throughout the meal. The service was also keeping up with the demand. The sashimi was incredible. I can't say I don't like any sashimi, but I love them all. Almost every sushi and sashimi we ordered was delicious. However, there's one thing I don't care for: the sticky rice shumai/shu mai. We think it's lacking in flavor. Overall, we had a great time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was good. I do think there's room for improvement in the dessert menu. They could add a few more options, like fresh fruits, Japanese mochi, or egg tarts. That's just my opinion, though. read more

Decided to check this spot out for an impromptu family dinner. They have a QR code on the table but it's just to see the menu. No tablets for ordering. You put your order in with a server. There is a 90 minute time limit , not sure how strict they are on that since we were done in about an hour. My tip here is order several things at once and multiples of things you really like. It did take a little time for the food to arrive. However, everything we tried was good. All you can eat dinner is $34 a person which is a good deal. Lunch is $22 with a smaller menu. This was such a great experience. My fiancé and I came in on a Sunday around 5pm, we were quickly seated and greeted by our server. We ordered quite a few dishes off the bat, steak hibachi, 4 different types of rolls, rock shrimp and gyoza. I kid you not, everything was delivered to us maybe 5 mins later. All hot and fresh. The steak hibachi was delicious and had super tender hunks of meat. All of our rolls were delicious. I always order a spicy tuna roll anywhere I go, and this was for sure one of my favorites! The rock shrimp was our absolute favorite and we ended up getting 3 orders of that. Also the gyoza was decent too. To end our fest we ordered fried Oreos and bananas. Both were very good and as expected. Everything is truly delicious and sooo fast. We figured, if we go out to any other sushi place, by the time we order rolls, apps and drinks it would be the same amount as the AYCE. Totally worth the price to come here instead. 10/10 would definitely come back and bring more friends so I can try more stuff. read more

First time customer and happy with my meal. Service was exceptional and servers very friendly. The atmosphere is casual and beautifully decorated. We tried the all you can eat buffet. You scan a bar code to access your menu. I did not see any paper menus available but I didn't ask either. There are no robot servers here. They give you a 90 min time limit. We went on a Saturday and during weekends they charge dinner prices all day. The sushi is good and flavorful. I tried the dinosaur roll and the spicy girl roll. We decided to try out this place since we're looking for a new sushi spot so we ordered a bunch of rolls. We got the salmon avocado roll, spider roll, Jurassic roll and a bunch of other rolls. However, I realized that for most of the rolls, there was no flavor. I couldn't taste the eel, salmon or tuna due to the sheer amount of avocado on the roll. So basically all I could taste was avocado. There were also very small amounts of eel in one roll and a bunch of cucumber and avocado. This made me sad because I was excited to try this place out and they arranged everything so aesthetically. The wasabi also had no flavor despite me using so much in my soy sauce. If they use less fillers (avocado/cucumber) and put more of the sushi meat, I think that would help improve the taste of the sushi a lot. We also got the chicken udon which was good and the takoyaki was delicious. I really enjoyed the miso soup. We ordered takeout and they made all the food in 25 mins which was pretty quick. read more

So far, I've been to this place twice in one week now. It's just that good. Luckily each time, I didn't need a reservation as I visit during the "slow time" and also, it's probably due to them being so newly opened. The menu is attractive and there seems to be three categories to choose from. Kitchen, sushi and/or dim sum. I've tried primary the sushi side and only a few dishes from the other categories. For the sushi, I've found it to be fresh. Being mainly a sashimi person, I prefer my fish straight. There hasn't been any fish I've tried that was off. It's presented beautifully and taste great. As for their rolls, I found them to be on par with any other restaurant that would charge $15 - $20 per roll. They aren't packed with rice (as some places do for obvious reasons), also presented well and having tried 80% of their Chef Special Rolls, the flavours work very well together and not two rolls are the same. I really need to curb my appetite for sushi and try more of their dim sum which so far, I've only tried a few which were fantastic. Side note, I found all the staff members to be very friendly and hospitable. They were very helpful and this added to the already great experience. So unimpressed with this place. I was so hopeful with these positive reviews, but it was not our cup of tea. Our server was absolutely delightful - and that was the one redeeming factor. Food and beverages were mediocre at best, but cups were also dirty. Additionally, I was charged $1 per piece of sushi roll left behind (4) and my kiddo was charged $1 for one item of his left behind. We only ordered two small rounds of food, and that was our only waste, so I'm shocked that was deemed "excessive waste." What entinced me to come in was the dim sum included with the AYCE. The service was fine it was empty when we came in and more people did show up towards the middle, but the menu wasn't so pleasant. If I had to sum it up it'd be "alright dim sum, worse sushi". Some of the specialty rolls are very basic and not that tasty, but the sashimi is decent. The shumai was good and the shrimp dumplings were solid. Didn't really like the rest of the dim sum. This place is great! Came here with a large group (9 people) on a weekend pretty early (4:30 PM) and they were graciously able to accomodate us. We had very long orders due to the size of the group (9 people) but food came out quickly, was beautifully presented and was delicious! No fillers in a lot of their food (hibachi did not automatically come with rice, you can get sashimi) and there was great variety in regards to sushi, hibachi, dim sum. They had delicious appetizers of fish and their service was excellent. I think it it was the owner who came out at one point to help with service and ask us how things were and I appreciated that touch. Clean, beautiful, and well worth the price. This place is terrible. The food was horrible. The sushi was old and the rice was overly wet. The waitresses were not observant at all. They were too busy dancing and being on their phones. Don't waste your time or money. The lunch menu barely had a selection of items worth ordering. I ordered 1 California roll, 1 salmon scallion roll, 2 kani sushi, and 2 salmon sushi. I could not finish eating the California roll. It was disgusting. I had 5 of the six pieces left. I ate five of the six pieces of the salmon scallion roll. I also left the 1 salmon sushi. There were black smudges on the salmon which looked suspect. So, on top of the $22 dollars for the all you can eat lunch buffet, I was charged $1 for the scallions in the salmon roll and $6 for "to go" for the horrible sushi I left on the plate. I was not told by the mediocre waitress that the scallions would be an extra charge. When I requested the check because the food was not fit to eat, the waitress said "if you could eat 2 more of the sushi I won't charge you extra for you leaving the food". I said "I can't. It's disgusting". I asked to speak to the manager and he said the same thing to me "if you eat 2 more I won't charge you". This place is a scam. read more

Had lunch there today. It's lovely inside with beautiful serving plates. Our server (Z) was great at explaining how the "all you can eat" works. Since we were both having the buffet, we could share. There is a good selection of appetizers, soups, sushi, hibachi and more. The dinner menu was bigger but more money. They are waiting for their liquor license but you can BYO for now. I am in town visiting my family and we decided to try this place since it was newer. We called ahead for a large party and were seated immediately for our dinner reservation. The experience moving forward was unfortunately downhill from there. The sushi bar is not prepared to handle the amount of customer orders they receive. All sushi items took very long to come. So long we saw folks just leaving after having one round, even for tables as small as two people. People waiting to be seated ended up leaving because turnaround time for tables was too long. The normal kitchen was fine as orders for food that wasn't sushi came out quicker. While we were mostly empathetic, it's hard not to be critical considering you expect to leave full for ayce sushi. We all left unsatisfied and the 400$ bill on top was tough to swallow. We ended up ordering mostly their dim sum items because we knew that would come out faster so it was basically all you can eat dim sum. I could continue but I'm sure those reading can understand my point. This isn't to tear this place down, but to provide some criticism that I'm sure the owners and staff were already aware of. I'm also sure the rating given would change positively if we ever decided to come back at a time that wasn't dinner. Service and food were fine but it was just the order times. This place is very busy and clearly popular, but to me, it felt more like an Asian fusion version of a hometown buffet than a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant. The rolls are big, colorful, and flashy--but not all that flavorful. They seem designed more for Instagram than for the palate. Personally, I prefer traditional Japanese rolls: smaller, simpler, and more thoughtfully made. If you're looking for authentic sushi and a more traditional experience, I'd highly recommend Shiki in Rochester. My boyfriend and i went here to enjoy the all you can eat menu for his birthday. The food was amazing however the service from our specific server was very poor and innapropriate. When my boyfriend ordered his food she took his order no problem no matter how much he got however when i ordered two rolls she made a remark saying "You're going to eat all of that?". I tried to shake it off but when my boyfriend tried to pronounce and ask about a menu item she laughed at him and just said the name again and didn't explain what it was.
