Very friendly staff, unbelievably pricing...I have paid way more at other non chain coffee shops for less. They have food such as pastries, sandwiches, waffles. I did not have any of the food selections but what I saw looked great. They also have a selection of games that you can play while having your food and beverages.

Garlic lamb soup - doesn't look like much but WOW - amazing flavor!

How has this place been open for months and we have only learned about it recently?? I found out about it when a friend posted on socials that they had been here for breakfast, and they called it the 'best diner in Rochester'. While I wouldn't classify Manzara as a 'diner' I will agree that our first tastes were excellent! On the day we visited, there was a student studying at a table with what looked like a sandwich; another table had 4 older gentleman having coffees; otherwise the place (at 4 pm in the afternoon on a Saturday) was quiet. The owner, Huseyin, was behind the counter and happily answered our gazillion questions about the menu and the items displayed in the counter shelf. We decided to get the daily soup special, Garlic lamb soup, $6, and a slice of the Dubai cheesecake, $10, which we took home to 'supplement' our dinner. The soup, pictured here, was fantastic! Huseyin had offered to add vinegar before giving it to us, saying that's how they would eat it, and we said yes - that little bit of tanginess perfectly balanced out the super rich lamb flavor. And the soup was just silky and delectable - kind of between a consume and a bisque, in terms of viscosity. The portion was also generous, so much that we each had 2 bowls, and I was completed sated from the fat and flavor. I didn't even need the rest of the dinner I had prepared at home - I made the soup the main meal that night! The cheesecake was also fantastic - the combination of flavors, creaminess of the cheesecake, and portion size, which we were able to split and each felt like we'd had a 'full piece', were great. Exactly what you hope for when you see such a beautiful dessert in a case. We really loved those 'first tastes' and look forward to returning. We highly recommend asking questions and letting Huseyin make recommendations for you. If the taste and quality of the food is any indicator, this guy really knows what he is doing!

Manzara is a nice little Turkish cafe. They serve good quality drinks, delicious sandwiches, and a variety of desserts. The cafe is spacious and ambiance is calm and clean. I got the egg and cheese sandwich and a hot chocolate. Both were great! Next time I definitely want to try a Turkish coffee and a dessert.

Stopped in for dessert on a Friday night, plenty of parking, plenty of seating, clean restroom, friendly staff. There were 4 of us and we got a latte, some bottled water and a variety of desserts. I was sad they only had one type of baklava, but that means I will have to come back to try the others! I had a piece of tres leches cake - moist & not too sweet - and a piece of the milky hazelnut baklava. I loved the hazelnut flavor and it was delicious. We will definitely stop back soon.

I got take-out, but you should definitely swing by the place to see what it's like! It looks really cute. I got the Kardelen Cake and the Leek Börek. The börek was really good - nice, flaky and buttery. It broke a smidgeon during transit, but that's perfectly normal. The cake, though - the cake is life-changing. It's like a tres leches cake but with pistachio and coconut and a milk pudding custard layer in between... It's so, so, so good. It's light and fluffy and I could not stop eating it!! I also would like to note that I did reach out to ask a question about the pastries and the person on the account sent me a photo of the pastry I asked about to see what it looked like. I really appreciated that, since it helped me know which one it was I wanted to get!

Turkish Tea, Beef Poacha, and Su Borek.

The menu lists the savory pastries but there's a nice sweet and savory selection. We chose savory. My husband had the Beef Poacha, kind of like an empanada only longer. He found it tasty. I had the Su Borek, a flaky cheese pie. I liked it but thought maybe it was a little bland. We both had Turkish Tea which we always love. There's no juice available so we grabbed a bottle of their traditional yogurt drink to share. It's pretty tart, so my husband added some sweetener. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Young man who took our order only speaks a little English, so his friend steps in to help translate. I suggested to him it would help if they have some cards with names and descriptions of the pastries. We will be back!

Deluxe waffle with banana pie ice cream, Turkish coffee with Turkish delight and water
    Remy A.

Great food and service every time I come. When I first came, got the deluxe waffle with banana ice cream. The best part about the deluxe is that they let you pick which ice cream you want from the ones they have in their case. I got the banana pie ice cream just because there were also bananas on the waffle and I thought it would go well, which it absolutely did! Also got a Turkish coffee, which was also amazing. Smooth, rich, and the Turkish delight at the end was a perfect finish. Second time, got the berry mix waffle. Also amazing, with fresh berries, vanilla cream sauce and chocolate sauce, and house made waffle. Also amazing, would recommend. I've also gotten the sausage and cheese sandwich, and while I dont have a picture, I will say it is awesome. Crispy bread and savory meat and cheese will always work in my book. Overall, the atmosphere is great, the food is awesome, and the staff are kind and helpful. Will be coming back again and again.

We're so happy Manzara Cafe has opened in the neighborhood! We stopped in to sample the Turkish Coffee which was smooth and served with a friendly smile. My husband ordered the Leek Borek. This was delicious and the flaky but chewy dough is great partner to the coffee. I also loved the tiny square of Turkish Delight to finish off the coffee. Definitely check out this cafe.

Great place to go for late night coffee and pastry. The pastry was very unique and delicious. We have been there three times and all three times it was enjoyable. The location is family run, clean and with open space. You order at the counter and they bring you your coffee and pastry (or other more substantial foods such as waffles, sandwiches) to your table and you dont pay until you are finished. The staff are exceptionally accommodating and kind. tonight we had something called "Mosaic" which was a heavy cake with chocolate interspersed with cake. It was delicious and enough to split for the two of us. The coffee is always delicious, and only 4.00 for a latte! the first time we went we had a dough pastry filled with spinach and cheese. truly decadent. the seating is well spaced with a large television showing crisp beautiful pictures of pretty places.

I love the atmosphere and the low lighting of this cafe, but was disappointed with their latte selection after being recommended this cafe so many times. I had a toasted coconut latte which was pretty good - but also pretty basic in terms of lattes that I have tried in the Rochester area. For me, this cafe was a one and done - not only because of the coffee, but also because of the service. I felt like the barista was a little rude, which I can consider could just be something personal that the barista was dealing with that day. However, as someone who appreciates good service (or at least someone who is kind), service means a lot to me. Overall, the coffee was pretty mid. I think Montgomery Court was a one and done for me.

On my first visit, I had the unfortunate timing to arrive late in the morning after a huge rush of locals had pretty much wiped out all their specials. Except one: a coffee drink with fish sauce. You read that correctly. FISH SAUCE. Like the kind you put on a savory Asian dish. It wasn't what I wanted, but the person making the coffees talked me into it because, as noted, they were literally out of almost everything else. I thought, well, I do like fish sauce, and maybe it just adds an umami kick, the way salt on caramel amps up the richness of a dessert. And I was not disappointed! In fact, it was delightful and very easy to drink! From that point, I felt pretty much hooked. These folks know their flavor combos and despite how 'weird' some might sound, they just work. My current obsession is their miso gourd-core on their fall menu - sort of like a savory pumpkin spice latte - delicious. I also love the golden nugget with turmeric maple syrup and clove. Really good. I have not tried anything else here food-wise (i.e. no cookies, smoothies or other nibbles), but usually pair my coffee with something delectable from next door at Jens Artisan - such as a quiche, mini cheesecake or cinnamon roll.... I'm a fan. And I highly recommend trying something outside of your comfort zone!

There is parking out front if you drive along the side of the building past other businesses. The quality of the beans seems incredible, which is why I stopped in. Being a strong enthusiast of coffee, collecting beans in my travels around the country and the world to enjoy at my home, I have been in many coffee shops and to many roasters over the years. One of my favorite parts is connecting with others who also have a passion and appreciate the product. However, that is where my dissatisfaction lies for this business. My greeting was terse and my enthusiastic inquiries about the various beans was met with disengaged and pretentious replies that all of the beans were great. I realize this and that is why I was visiting. Despite multiple attempts to engage in conversation to learn more about the taste characteristics and growing regions, I continued to be met with dismissive comments or silence. Maybe I did not appear to be knowledgeable but I left feeling that I was not worthwhile to the staff member who was working when I visited. I would not return to give business when such poor service was provided during my visit. I liked Joe Bean on the one occasion I got to visit their former location on University Avenue, and in some respects, I think this move is a nice change for them. They have way more space, and it feels like a great place that could host events relating to the production and tasting of coffee - not to mention, much more parking! The new facility features nice large windows, a sunny morning vibe, beautiful decor, a great selection of really appealing coffees, snacks, bags of coffee for home use, and lots of cheery plants. I had a latte with oat milk and Ethiopia Misty Valley coffee, for $5. The latte and my friend's Americano took a good while to be prepared (the two staff working told us apologetically and nicely that they only had one machine to do all the work of supporting the many people present that day), but when it was done, it was absolutely worth it. A latte of this quality is the true reason you go to a place like Joe Bean as opposed to Starbucks. This is what the movement of really high-level coffee experience should really be all about. I cannot compare it to any other latte I've had in Rochester. This alone puts Joe Bean as the best coffee in town in my opinion - Ugly Duck, Glen Edith, Fuego, Coffee Connection, etc., I'm looking at you! Thank you to Joe Bean for staying open and providing a great experience. If you are reading this as a prospective customer, I highly recommend you go check it out!
