Capone's Italian Eatery seriously impressed us from start to finish. We ordered the Canzone, and it was absolutely perfect--stuffed with a great variety of meats and fresh cheese, with just the right amount of dough so it wasn't overwhelming or heavy. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality and made with care. We also tried several subs, including the buffalo chicken, meatball sub, and the vodka chicken parm sub, and every single one was fantastic. The flavors were bold, the sauces were spot on, and the portions were very generous. Nothing tasted rushed or thrown together--everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The dining area is a bit small, but it has a cozy feel, and honestly, the food is the real star here. If you're looking for amazing Italian comfort food done right, Capone's is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be coming back again.

Well, I was pretty excited to try this place due to seeing it all over tiktok/Instagram! Honestly, I wasn't blown away like I thought I'd be. Do food influencers get paid to promote certain places? Upon walking in, I was shocked to see how dirty and messy it is inside. To the point where it made me question ordering anything. Felt like a dive bar vibe. We ordered a Milanese sub and a slice of pizza. Neither were very flavorful. The woman who took my order was super sweet.

Ordered pick up from here based on seeing a couple of clips from Eat Local NY. Small place mainly setup for takeout. Staff was nice when I walked in to pickup. We had the chicken parm w/pasta, margherita pizza, antipasto salad, and the Soprano(chicken parm with eggplant and pesto). The Food was great and large portions. My wife enjoyed the chicken parm which is her favorite Italian dish. Kiddo liked the margherita pizza and I finished the Soprano which is a feat in its own and speaks to how much I enjoyed it. The Antipasto Salad lives up to the billing as a popular item. It was very hearty and delicious. Pointer- Call in and ask about specials. They don't list them on their online menu and that's how I found the soprano. Even though it's a hike to get, I will be back.

Service was great. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We got the Vodka Chicken Parm sub and a large cheese and pepperoni pizza. The sub was very good. I wish it had more vodka sauce. The cutlets were very good. Thin and flavorful . The combination of it all went well together. The pizza was good. Definitely needed more sauce on it but the sauce was excellent . The dough was good but wish it was crispy on the bottom. The mozzarella and pepperoni was very good. The mozzarella tasted like it was fresh and a good quality. The pepperoni had a great char to it and a little spice kick to it. Definitely going back when we are on that side of town to try more menu items. Great little Italian place.

Heard about this place on TikTok. Amazing sandwich. Vodka chicken parm sandwich with homemade mozzarella and pesto sauce. Incredible. One of the best hot subs I've ever had. Small homey place. Mostly takeout with a couple of tables. People working were super nice and grateful for the business.

This was our first time trying Capones and we tried two of the hot subs and they were both AMAZING! The first was the vodka chicken parm sub (10/10) and the other was a "secret" menu item, chicken cutlet Caesar salad sub (9/10). I'm crazing both and will be back again soon. We ordered on a Sunday and they open at noon. I tried calling at 12:10pm and the wait was already 45min. They said they had a line out the door (which is a great sign that people love their food). The service over the phone was extremely friendly and appreciative of our business.

Went to Capone's for lunch after seeing a good review-- and we were pretty much blown away by the incredible food! My husband had a special hot sub with all sorts of stuff-- including arugula and green apples. It was immense. I decided to go for a cheesesteak just to see how they do on the standards. It was probably one of the best I've had in about 40 years, ever since I grilled my own at the university snack bar. Maybe even better. The steak was good quality, the balance of cheese to meat to vegetables was perfect and all was well mixed and well seasoned so that every single bite had every bit of flavor. The roll was also one of the best-- crisp on the outside and not so thick that it got in the way. We also ordered a slice of pizza to try it out-- it was a perfect NY style crust-- foldable, but the point stayed up! Absolutely would go back again to try their dinners and maybe some of the amazing looking desserts shipped in from Staten Island!!

We stopped here after hearing a positive food review. Staff were very friendly it is family owned & very clean. There are only 2 eat in tables with a few seats at the counter. We got a meatball sub that my husband said was ok & I had the Bacon cheeseburger sub that was amazing!! The buns are locally made & are so soft & yummy. There are all kinds of pop & water to drink. They also have a desert case but we passed.

Got a hot sub here and a cold one at the new location on Cooper in Irondequoit. Sadly neither sub was good at all and I will not be back.

There's not a lobby area so folks are funneled to the bar so there were others waiting there as well and it felt a bit like that was the idea to get people to start a tab there first. Our recent experience has changed that. We informed staff of our dissatisfaction at the time and left contact information so the restaurant could follow-up; then mailed Donna a letter explaining why we were dissatisfied; and then followed that up later with email to her. Crickets. So now it's time to post a review: If your party of three likes waiting for your entrees while larger parties around you arrive after you, eat their meals, and leave, this is the place for you! If you like your waiter telling you the food is "coming soon" 30 minutes after the appetizers, and then tracking him down after 50 minutes to ask where your food is, this is the place for you! If you like being told that your meal would be comped as an apology, but have that courtesy overruled by Matt, the bartender, this is the place for you! If you like the bartender telling you that 50 minutes between appetizer and entree isn't a long time, and that you just don't understand how food flows out of the kitchen, this is the place for you! And after all that, if you like being offered a cannoli by way of apology, this is the place for you! As mentioned, we've eaten there many times, so obviously have never experienced anything like this before. We're understanding about busy nights, which this was, and have no problem with a reasonable wait. We do have a problem when a simple order of two shrimp scampi and an eggplant parm is nowhere to be found while diners around us arrive, eat and leave. And we do have a problem when management condescendingly dismisses our dissatisfaction as being uninformed about how a restaurant functions. After that insulting experience, we said we would wait no longer, did not want the meal, and would find our dinner elsewhere. Miraculously, the food came out as we gathered our things to leave, over an hour after the appetizers had arrived. Diners around us undoubtedly found the situation uncomfortable, so as a courtesy to them, after briefly reiterating that we no longer wanted the meal, we decided to accept the order as take-out. Incidentally, the eggplant was good; the shrimp scampi and pasta was poorly prepared, bland and unsalted. We left the cannoli.

Once Nico finally caught up he was entertaining and responsive. I think staffing needs improvement or reservations need to be spaced out better if they can't staff! They stretched themselves too thin having parties going in the back room at the expense of the main dining room. Once we got going, food and service was excellent. We had chicken parm, crab filled haddock, gnocchi, and shrimp. All were delicious. But the actual highlight for my wife and me was a shared wedge salad. The dressing was fantastic.
