They can make everything pretty much gluten free (egg bites already are, and there is gf bread available). They also have vegan and vegetarian options. They had seasonal drinks. The prices weren't too bad in my opinion. The food was filling. I love the vibe here, they were playing beachy Bob Marley songs. Finally, Webster has a true mom-and-pop coffee shop! Elvio's is owned by a member of the band Daughtry, and you can see the musical influences throughout the space. The walls are filled with music-themed touches, and they host music trivia and other fun events on select days and evenings. There's plenty of seating inside, plus outdoor seating during the warmer months -- with the added bonus of being right on the water. I love the pastel de nata latte, and I appreciate that they offer dairy-free options. They also let you choose between medium or dark roast for your coffee. Today I tried their spring special, the pistachio cannoli latte, and it was delicious. The Portuguese egg tarts are absolutely to die for! On weekdays, they have a wheel at the register that you can spin for free or discounted drinks, and they also offer a punch card loyalty program. I'll definitely be coming back to Elvio's! read more

Will be returning. The location is amazing. Anywhere you look, you're either looking at the lake or a beautiful forest. The vibe inside is awesome. Cohesive atmosphere with a calm, dark color scheme. But the food is the real deal. I got the smoked salmon bagel, which normally comes with tomatoes, but I personally did not get. The smoked salmon tasted fresh and perfectly smoky, the capers weren't overpowering, and the pickled onion was a perfect touch of acidity. I also got a cold brew coffee, which was rich, bold and didn't taste watered down. The staff were all friendly and understanding, and our food came out at a reasonable time (about ten minutes for two items). read more

This was my first time here and I cannot believe it took so long. I stopped in on a whim, after hiking a local trail to reward myself with coffee and a small breakfast. It was Sunday just about lunchtime. I ordered the tiramisu coffee latte with espresso and the Portuguese Omelet Sandwich. The ambiance was amazing, with local artist, David Wentling playing some of the most beautiful, nostalgic music. His voice was was so calming, and his originals were fantastic as well. That food was too die for! I look forward to visiting sooner rather than later. I learned thru a mutual friend that the owner, who looked very familiar, was there as well sitting right across from me taking in a soccer match with friends on the big screen while David was on break. The fig and pig flatbread was good (5/10), not great. It stated it had brisket; if it did it was far and few in between. The omlette sandwich was good (7/10). The star, the pastel de nata (10/10). The cinnamon roll was a cinnamon roll (6/10). Total bill: $45.00. Cost is that you pay. Value is what you get. For me the cost and value do not match here. Will I come back? Elvio's is good. I didn't realize that this is a Portuguese cafe. The place felt divey/casual. I came here to hangout with a couple of friends. There was live music on a Saturday. I tried their winter special menu - fogho latte which is made with molasses, ginger, cayenne and other spices. It was okay. Not sufficiently hot for my palette. I can't enjoy my coffee if it's not hot enough. I also got a flatbread which was delicious! I got another latte, this time it was pastel de nate latte which is custard flavored with a hint of lemon. I liked this one better, but again, it was not hot enough after requesting extra hot, which is why I'm knocking a star off. Staff is friendly and they bring out the food and drink in reasonable time. I stopped by on. Wednesday morning to get a latte to take with me to a meeting. What a cute place and fantastic location on the Bay! There are seats inside, picnic tables with umbrellas outside, and it was accessible. There is also one, clean unisex bathroom. Jasmine created my dark roast latte with almond milk and it was delicious. I saw the baked goods and ordered a chocolate muffin too. She put it in a to go box and I was able to take a fork with me. I love that's there's a local coffee shop in the area now. I've stopped several times on my way to work and I always am in and out in less than 10 minutes. I've tried the blackberry toast which was refreshing and the perfect balance of filling and not too heavy. The balsamic glaze was the perfect touch. This new location is all about music, coffee, and culture. Owned by Elvio Fernandez former musician, best known with Daughtry. Elvio wanted to open a unique place where people can gather for food and coffee while enjoying live music. When you walk in the place its decked out with music decor/pictures and a stage in the middle surrounded by tables. Walk to the back behind the stage and you will find the counter to order and pay. We went on a Sunday morning and when we walked in there was a young guy playing his guitar and singing. He was at the end of his set, so they turned music on a tv where it was showing old music videos. my first thought is that it could get pretty loud if a band was playing. The menu is diverse with enough items to choose from. sandwiches, different coffee options, flatbreads/toast, healthy bowls, and protein smoothies. I ended up getting the canico avocado toast and the boyfriend got the Chourico breakfast bifanna, we also got a blueberry pistachio scones and americanos. a lot of the items seemed to have a Portuguese theme which makes sense since this is Elvios heritage. we got a high top table in the corner where we waited for our name to be called to pick up our food. everything had great flavor and the scone was soft, a perfect pair with my coffee. the bifana was more flavorful than my avocado toast, but still loved both items. the avocado toast was a perfect size (not to too small which I was concerned about) and filling. will definitely be returning for a specialty latte and smoked salmon bagel. the prices are slightly up there but you are paying for good food and entertainment. also there is enough parking in the front and to the side. however I do wonder how it would be during the summer months for boat season. read more

Meh.... The food was good but very heavy on caramelized onion and balsamic glaze. The "whipped brie" was not whipped, just melted brie. The taste was good and the onions overwhelmed it. I have been a frequent customer at Elvio's since it has opened. This is a gem of a coffee house for Webster, Penfield, the City and Irondequoit. The coffee, the smoothies, and the food I've tried have been amazing. I often times use Elvio's as my "second office" as I enjoy the music while I work. We always like to check out new spots around town and looked forward to stopping in for coffee on a Monday morning. The location is great,looking out onto the bay through the many windows in the cafe. We both enjoyed our coffee ( a regular and a latte). A plus was the coffee was served in a glass thermal mug, which really kept the coffee nice and hot. The breakfast menu looked really intriguing but we just opted for pastries, which were both good. The only downside for us was the choice of music early in the morning. I understand that rock music is Elvio's passion, but for us it was too much. The food and coffee were exceptional and refreshingly not the same old offerings! This is food from a real chef...props to Elvios brother! We had one of each flavor egg bites,all different and delicious, and the smoked salmon bagel which had a generous amount of salmon...and it was very artfully presented besides. The pastries looked delicious! We both had the coconut rum latte worthy of any great barissta. There was an open mic which was entertaining but perhaps a little loud if one wanted to simply enjoy food or a coffee...but a nice idea to showcase local musicians and music in general.
