The long wait would have been bearable if when I called to pick up my food, I'd been told they were swamped. Nope! Curbside order, after 5 calls they did not answer. I cannot cancel my order because it was ordered ASAP. Unfortunately the service doesn't match. Since I started working close by I go and get a Smoothie every day when I'm at work the Jetty Punch is my favorite some days it's delicious and some days it's watery I started adding a B12 shot to it and the grit is disgusting they don't mix it up enough there's one guy in the morning that doesn't care he just throws your order together and puts it on the counter the good thing about it is it fills me up for most of the day they just need to focus more on the product and the customer read more

Yay, my favorite! I've never been so happy to see a Tropical Smoothie in all my life! To my chagrin, the Madison/Ridgeland/Jackson area is oversaturated with Smoothie Kings, and I'm not a fan. The 20 minute drive to Pearl was TOTALLY worth it! Their setup is unusual as I've never seen a TS counter in a gas station, but whatevs! I brought my sister-in-law with me to try her first TS smoothie and she loved it! I ordered us 2 Island Greens (sub the banana for apple)! When I pulled out my phone to pay via mobile app, the cashier reported that they don't have a scanner. Bummer. She suggested that I place my order on the app to get around this. I love tropical smoothie. Especially the Mocha Madness smoothie. Unfortunately the two times I've been to the Pearl location my smoothie has had tons of coffee grounds all in it. The Smoothie is gritty, bitter, and a huge disappointment from the normal quality received at other tropical smoothie locations. It seemed like a fluke the first time but after experiencing the sadness of having a bad mocha madness twice, I plan on avoiding this location. read more

The service at this location is absolutely TERRIBLE!!! I was 10 minutes from this location when I placed a phone order for two smoothies (the app said it would be 15 minutes). When I arrived, a husband and wife were chit chatting with the cashier about the menu and asked for opinions. They both had ordered smoothies and food after a 2 Minute discussion since I had arrived. Shortly after, a lady who just finished making two smoothies was walking by the pick up tray. I asked her if those were my pick up order... this young girl did not respond to me and most definitely heard me because we were face to face; however, she smirked at me and walked out the door. I'm assuming this is an employee since she was just behind the counter making them. I have seen this many times where what appears to be off the clock employees are making their own smoothies prior to fulfilling customer order then leaving. 10 minutes go by, the couple who ordered food and a smoothie after I had arrived received their order. Another lady who stated to the cashier that she called in her order 10 minutes prior was hoping it was ready. Guess what, her order was ready. I'm not sure how they determine which order is primary, but I waited 15 minutes after arriving (25 minutes total since placing the order) and was not acknowledged by a single employee. The extra 10 minute wait did not necessarily bother me; however, the rude employees and order time management most definitely needs some work. I will only visit the Flowood location for now on. They at least acknowledge their customers, give excellent customer service, and apparently are being managed way better. That manager deserves a raise and the Pearl management needs to take some classes. read more

There's hit and there's miss... then there's complete lack of concern. I've been to this location three times over the span of six months... every, single, time, the staff members could care less if you're there or not and are usually running around like ants from a disturbed bed. I'm updating my previous review based on a more recent experience. I placed an online order which was supposed to be ready in 10-15 minutes according to the website. When I arrived, I checked the pickup boxes and saw that none of the boxes had my combination of wrap and large smoothie, so I sat down and waited to hear my name be called as they were doing for others. After 20 minutes of waiting and seeing others order and leave with their food, I decided to check on mine. The cashier said that my smoothie had been in the box the whole time. I told her I only had a large smoothie and wrap, not 3 kid-sized smoothies. She told me they were out of large cups and had split them into three small. I then explained that I also had a wrap, and she told me they were out of chicken and asked what else I would like. I really wish they would have called my name earlier or made an attempt to ask for a substitute instead of waiting for me to come check on my order. I didn't want to seem rude, so I had waited the 20 minutes assuming they were slower because they were so busy. After waiting an additional 10 minutes for the wrap, they didn't add the red onions that I had paid extra for. Overall, the food and smoothies are good, but the service was not very great. read more

Tropical smoothie is a welcome healthier option to this Pearl area *if* you order correctly. Like other smoothie chains, they automatically add turbinado sugar to a smoothie unless you request they do not. Keep the sugar and your kale smoothie will top 80g of sugar which is more than a fast food milkshake. So, be cautious when ordering if looking for a healthy option. My go to order is the detox island green smoothie (kale, spinach, pineapple, ginger, etc). I have ordered the hummus veggie wrap and was delightfully surprised at how tasty and filling. Most of their sandwiches/wraps/flatbreads are grilled to finish, and if you get lettuce and tomato on your meal, it definitely wilts. If that isn't your jam, do like me and order it without lettuce. They're located in a gas station and can easily be missed. Surprisingly popular during lunch hour, so I make sure to use the app and order ahead so I don't have to wait. Happy hour in the morning means 50% off smoothies. At lunch, I'll get the sandwich and smoothie combo, and just save half of the sandwich for the next day, as a smoothie is only $3 to add to any sandwich meal. Recommend! read more

Waited fifteen minutes at a $2 sandwich that wasn't even good. When I went they were a little busy, but they were getting the smoothies made in an effective manner. But I placed my order for a smoothie and a sandwich. I then sat in the waiting area. Time goes by and I get my smoothie. Cool. Then I waited 10 minutes and still no sign of my sandwich. An older gentleman places his order. Then the lady behind him places it. Again NO SIGN of a sandwich. Then 10 minutes later after the two placed their order, this lady brings out a sandwich. I think it's mine, but NO. It's the lady who placed her order 15 minutes AFTER ME. I'm thinking what TF is going on? It should not take this long for a sandwich. I stood up pretty much saying where is my food. In my head of like I only get a 15-minute break at work. This is ridiculous! The lady who works there runs in the back and throws together a sandwich, comes back and says, "oh I'm sorry I didn't know you ordered food." Huh?? How you did not know I had food? That doesn't make sense. Why not make the orders together instead of making EVERYONE ELSE'S smoothie that's in the restaurant and then making customers who ordered TO-GO food?? Love this place for their half off "happy hour" half off smoothies. My top three are the island green detox, health nut, and the Chia Boost smoothie all super healthy and fresh. They also have a lunch combo special for half sandwich or salad with a smoothie that is delicious! read more

This is a review on the food not the smoothies. I ordered the California flatbread sandwich. The picture said it contained grilled chicken, bacon, avocado and lettuce. What I got was a "chalupa" type wrap with this nasty green sauce running out of it! I was not pleased with this purchase at all. read more

This is a hidden gem! I had no idea about this place until a friend told me about it (because I love smoothies). It's inside a service station. The smoothies are 24 oz. and a great bargain. The cafe serves breakfast also. The sandwiches and wraps are great. The kale apple slaw (side) is delicious! No matter what you order you can't go wrong. I've never been disappointed. They have happy hour every day before 9am (smoothies are half price)! read more

I go to tropical smoothie at least twice a week and lately things have gone downhill. The service is unbearably slow and on two occasions I have had watered down smoothies. When I asked the young lady could she not use so much ice she ignored me. I have sent in surveys on the bottom of the receipts but I have not be contacted. I don't know if they are understaffed or the employees lack morale but for the only decent smoothie place in the area I wish the service was better. read more

This is the worst location I've visited. Was sent away due to requiring all orders to be called in (due to COVID-19). This would have been fine, but the woman (improperly wearing a mask) was extremely rude. She referred to two hand-written signs, one was outside on the gas station window that was stained and blended in with the others, the other was the "no exceptions" that was folded over on the front counter. I've dealt with garbage service here before with the employees playing on their phone and asking me to repeat my order several times, but this was certainly the last. read more

I really like this place a lot. There aren't many places in Mississippi you can get healthy food especially on the go. This place is located in the gas station near the movie theater. The staff is always nice and patient explaining the menu. They have GREAT smoothies, salads, wraps. I usually get the Thai "chicken" wrap and all the green smoothies - lol. Great for vegans and vegetarians. My order is always right, although if it's busy, you may have a bit of a wait but GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT. Highly recommend.
