I have never eaten at a Schlotzsky's, but decided to try it after a friend highly recommended it. I love a good salad, but the one I had here was not enjoyable. I got the strawberry chicken salad, which is usually one of my favorites. This one was by far one of the worst I've ever had. To start, the little bit of chicken that was on there seemed like the leftovers from what they had after they made sandwiches. It was very lacking in flavor. The balsamic vinaigrette (which I usually love) was very bitter and had the worst flavor. They really need to change that recipe! The pecans were supposed to be "candied", which really elevates the flavors of a strawberry salad. There were very few, and they were not candied, but just regular salted tiny pieces. Overall the combination of all the flavors just didn't work, and made for a boring tastebud experience. IF I ever go back I'll try something else. As far as the service, that was disappointing too. The young lady at the register was very nice, but everyone else could really use some customer service training. After eating, I went back to the counter to get a to-go box. I stood there for 3-4 minutes, and had numerous employees walk right past me and not even make eye contact. Even the manager that was in the kitchen making food looked over at me and said nothing. I was trying to wait patiently, but after a few minutes, I finally flagged someone down to get the to-go box. The chicken avocado cobb is the nastiest salad I've ever tried to eat. The lettuce was wilted, bacon bits were inedible, chicken was rubbery, and the ranch dressing was SWEET. It's definitely different than the typical sub spots. The bread is this really thick sourdough, Imo there's not enough meat but it's not a bad sandwich. I got the fiesta chicken but not knowing any better got the largest one they offer and was only able to eat a quarter of it. My husband got the roast beef and cheese, he was disappointed saying that was the wrong bread for that sandwich. I don't eat roast beef sandwiches (puts me in the mind of possum kewchie sandwiches from Arby's YUCK YUCK YUCK). I also got the bbq chicken and jalapeño pizza. Totally surprised to find a Schlotzsky's in Flowood. So you know I made a B-line to this location after picking up a friend from the airport. Arrived at about 8:30pm (30 minutes before closing time). Cashier never smiled or greeted us. She was obviously DONE for the evening and her personal apparel piled on the front countertop clearly indicated this as well. Once orders were given she began to resume her end of day tasks. While waiting for order fulfillment, other staff were highly concerned with which items they wanted to order to take home. Not sure why this place isn't brought across the state of Mississippi. As I was traveling with my Prince throughout the streets of Jackson, my coachman decided to stop at this place for his 10-minute lunch break. He couldn't leave us alone in the sun so we decided to go in. We took a look around and thought this was no place for a Princess like me. But then after smelling the sweet cinnamon from Cinnabon, we decided to stay for a quick bite. That quick bite turned into an entire Italian-style meal. I thought the food was okay. I got the French dip sandwich, they had an option to add extra meat so I may try that next time with extra cheese and extra caramelized onions, because the way it comes regularly was definitely not on my top list of favorite French dip sandwiches I have tried. I also tried one of their Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. It was much bigger that I anticipated and I loved the cream cheese icing, but the bread was a little dry for my liking. The taste of the food is matter of opinion and does not affect my rating in the slightest. I'm giving them 5 stars because their customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. I seriously felt like I was driving through a Chick-fil-A. My food came out quick, it was hot, and the two employees I came in contact with were over the top friendly. I will definitely be back! Wasn't too impressed at all here. Firstly, my husband's order was messed up. Gave him the completely wrong sandwich and gave his away to someone else.. next, my salad had avocado on it which I was REALLY looking forward to, but when I tried to bite one they were ROCK HARD. Who first cuts a rock hard avocado (you can always tell) and then intentionally uses it on a salad? ("WOW, I bet this will be enjoyable to eat"). Umm no. The kids meals had apples that had been cut with the produce stickers STILL ON. So, most likely they hadn't been washed. Thanks people. Lastly, the milks in the refrigerator up front were way warm. Gross. The only redeemable thing about this whole visit is I talked to the manager on duty and he agreed to refund our entire meal the next morning since we were just passing through town on our way to the Gulf. I don't think I got a full refund, as I never even got a receipt with my meal... but he refunded most of it so I was grateful and wasn't going to argue. I doubt all Schlotzkeys are like this, but THIS location could sure use some lessons in customer service. read more

I have been to this restaurant several times. I love the pizzas. I've tried the margarita flat bread and the pesto vegetarian pizza. They are delicious. The garlic sticks are pretty good. I've tried the cookies as well and the best one in my opinion is the salted caramel. Some staff members have been nice and friendly, not all. I've never been inside. I always do drive-thru. The reason they are not getting five stars is because they have messed up my order a few times. But besides that, I've always enjoyed the food and it has always been fresh. Recommend trying those items out on the menu. read more

They do have a bit of a menu change up as of a few weeks ago. now they have 10 in ($6.49) and 14 in pizzas and fewer pizza choices. But $10.99 for a 14in pizza is not bad.
