Waited and waited and watched other customers complain and finally a waitress asked at 6:20 if she could do anything for me. I said, I haven't received my food. Maybe it was just bad timing. But I came in mid afternoon around 4 o'clock. Waited at the front for probably 7 to 12 minutes before anybody greeted me. There were several people standing by the beverage station just looking around. I finally got sat took my order and then I had to go back and ask the hostess if they forgot about my order because it was approximately 28 to 35 minutes before I got my sandwich. The sandwich was OK. It wasn't great. I had the Reuben. The fries were delicious. And it was a very nice restaurant overall. I just think at that point the service just wasn't as impeccable as I thought it would be. read more

We stopped at Broma's on a road trip and it was a good alternative to fast food. I was looking for something healthy and went with a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. There wasn't much chicken and there were no croutons. Luckily my husband had the Cobb and gave me some of his. My salad was just OK. Lots of lettuce and a large container of dressing on the side. My husband's Cobb was good though. It was a very generous portion too. I had been to Broma's before and had the Reuben, which was amazing. so I'm going to go with 4 stars today based on my current AND past visits. This is a spot for stick to your ribs comfort food. Pros - the southwest wrap, salmon wrap, pimento cheese sandwich were all great! Homemade chips in BBQ were amazing! They have a little cinnamon on them and we're sooo good! Broma's. Interestingly enough, the word translated from Spanish means "joke," and boy did they have jokes! I ordered the "mix and match" half roast beef "deli sandwich" and a cup of chili for $7.99. When my order was delivered, the waitress was smiling. My half of a sandwich was a piece of white bread that they toasted. Then, they cut it into 2 triangles and gently placed ONE slice of roast beef that was not more than 1/8 of an inch thick between the triangles. No lettuce, cheese, tomato, mayonnaise, mustard ... NOTHING. Just that sliver of roast beef on a piece of white bread for $8! I asked the waitress if that was what they called a "deli sandwich." When she said yes, I laughed and handed it back and told her that I wasn't hungry enough to pay $8 for that. It's pretty pathetic when the concession stand at the movie theater is a better bargain. read more

I love this place for quick, healthy lunches. Great sandwiches and soup, and their ranch dressing is the best. It's easy to order online and drive by to pick up your order, and they are generous when it comes to portion sizes. Great selection of food and a good place for lunch. I had a club sandwich and I could taste the care that went into preparing it. The bread was toasted just right and all the ingredients were perfect. Lunch was around $15 with a large drink. Staff was friendly and the establishment was very clean. The muffuletta was great! Bread was soft and fresh. Staff was very friendly. Food came out quickly.

Ordered a Natchez Ave French dip and chicken and rice soup with sweet tea. The only thing good was the tea! 26$ No Au jus gravy. Nearly choked on sandwich. Soup has processed meat and taste like it's out of a can. Service: I called in my order, arrived, three employees sitting in the office two feet from me. About 3-4 minutes in, an employee came from behind me to help me. I am so discouraged. Will never eat here again. This used to be one of my local favorites! Very disappointed! read more

I found Broma's on Yelp as we were traveling through the area. We arrived just before noon. It's counter-order and they deliver to your table. First piece of advice for the owners...while I love the light fixtures at the front counter, they block a good bit of the menu. I had a Reuben sandwich. It was good. I've been to this Broma's Deli around countless times in the last quarter century, and each and every time the taste just explodes in my mouth, sometimes I get a little choked up, others I just gulp it down. Helps to not have a gag reflex when you come up in here looking for a meal Lucille! This spot is also better than the one down da skreet in McComb, if you wanted to know. They just serve their food up a little better. Always clean, always friendly, always got the thermostat at least on 66. Used to be a great place with excellent service but the last few time was not good at all . The orders were about 40 minutes late and the food was brought out cold and the workers were just standing around laughing and playing and when we asked about our food they were rude and didn't want to be bothered. read more

I have the Brookhaven location of this store listed in this review, but I actually went to both this one, and the mall location in McComb. It was great. My first time in a got a gyro. I've had some good gyros, but never from a shop like this. I was pleasantly surprised. The McComb location had some very friendly help, and definitely made sure that I was up for a return visit. It took no less than five people just to give our order. Walked in on a Saturday night and only two tables were occupied. We didn't know the process so we walked to the cash registers in the front to get seated. We made eye contact with two employees on the floor and they didn't help. Then a third walked up to get a drink cup for herself two feet from us, and I waited until I was sure she wouldn't acknowledge us before calling out and asking whether we order here, seat ourselves, or what. She said "uhhh" and found us a fourth person. Fourth comes over and can't answer our simple question about how to order food, so she goes to find a fifth person (after responding to my, "Do you close at nine?" with a "No, who told you that?"). Thankfully the eventual fifth person knew how this restaurant accepted food orders and we could proceed. Curiously, this fifth person asked us to move over to the cash register six feet further from the door, took our order, then asked us to please sit on the side of the restaurant where we were previously standing. Why not just have the more conveniently-placed register operational? My drink cup was cracked at the rim and was covered in (dishwasher?) water inside. Turns out they wash and reuse the disposable cups because they're "thrifty." Food came relatively quickly, but my baked potato and toppings had that fresh-from-the-microwave sheen; could be it wasn't just heated in the microwave or heat lamp, but the presentation and taste were lacking. I'd worked 14 hours that day and hadn't eaten much so I wasn't picky. Tea was good, but tasted like they use an artificial sweetener instead of sugar (although I'm not sure). I almost gave two stars because of the tea and the amusing story about my visit to Brookhaven, but the one star "Eek! Methinks not." rating seemed most appropriate. read more
