Good food, great staff, limited seating. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The sandwiches were bread heavy but still very nice. The side portions were surprisingly large. Get the pasta salad. My only issue was seating. Very limited indoor seating. People were standing around eating while an employees friend, with no food, was taking a whole booth. I did get a little annoyed. Good for takeout but don't go there expecting to sit. You may get to but I would not count on it.

We used to love Basils and would order pizza to go regularly, but the past few times we have ordered, the pizza is not cooked properly. You can see in the picture that the crust isn't cooked. My daughter could barely bite her piece because it was so chewy and gummy. Sadly we won't be back.

Sorry excuse for a pimento & cheese BLT.

Has always been good in the past, but this is a pathetic excuse for a pimento & cheese BLT.

Great panini and very large portions- enough to split! Also friendly customer service as we were rewarded with a complimentary dessert!

Voodoo Nachos are outstanding! Wouldn't think a bag of chips could turn into the base of a delicious meal, but Basil's knows how to deliver!

The tomato and mozzarella panini is my favorite with the tomato soup.

The building is very unassuming from the outside. Inside was a totally different from any other place we'd ever been. The decor was very eclectic with lots of Fantasy/sci fi elements. The crowd was playing all kinds of games. The vibe was different from the usual sports bar scene. We enjoyed watching what was going on and feeling how much fun everyone was having. Our server answered all of our questions and made some recommendations for food and drinks. Our food was delicious and the portions were generous. I heartily recommend checking out Dogmud for a fun and different experience from the normal bar scene!

My go-to meal is the Werewolf Bait sandwich or Brii burger. I would argue that their cocktail menu and expertise is second to none in town. Always a perfectly tailored beer tap selection plus bottle and can selection. In the mood to play a game or games? They will have it here. Want an obscure drink? They will make it here...and likely make one you have not heard of. Head on over and you won't be disappointed.

He insisted that he move our tables to be one big table. I told him it was okay because I didnt want to bother him, but he insisted, saying he wanted me and my little nephew to be comfortable. He handed us the menus, and we decided to order three different pizzas and the Pretzel Bites for the appetizer. The first pizza was the Three Little Pigs, a delicious combination of Italian sausage, pepperoni, applewood bacon, fresh basil, marinara, and mozzarella. This one was by far my favorite. The bacon and sausage had a spicy flavor, and the mozzarella was thick and gooey. One bite and the cheese would stretch for days. The other two, the Pepperoni and Chicken Alfredo, were right up there, too. I like that the Chicken Alfredo tasted more like a pizza than not. It had all the combinations of a Chicken Alfredo pasta dish, but with the spices and marinara sauces, it was a sweet combination of both, but it was more of a pizza flavor, which I just loved. I can't leave off the Pretzel Bites; I liked that the cheese and mustard were mixed, bringing on a very favorable dip. Now I must tell you this: the pizzas are supposed to be a personal pan--ten inches with six slices. The hostess warned me these pizzas aren't your regular-sized personal pan. He was right. The pizzas are huge, the slices even bigger. It's a deep-dish pizza with layers of meat, cheese, sauces, and veggies. So you can order three like I did, or just order one and keep coming back, trying different pizzas, which is a great idea considering the place is so inviting. One more thing: You can eat inside or outside on the patio or the lawn with the large TV screen. It's a very relaxed place, and they have a band on certain nights. I can tell you for sure that the hostess, the food, and the ambiance make this place what it is, very inviting.
