The flavor that came out of each bite was over the top. I can tell you what else was exceptional, and that was the service. I have never met such a kind hostess. He insisted that he move our tables to be one big table. I told him it was okay because I didnt want to bother him, but he insisted, saying he wanted me and my little nephew to be comfortable. He handed us the menus, and we decided to order three different pizzas and the Pretzel Bites for the appetizer. The first pizza was the Three Little Pigs, a delicious combination of Italian sausage, pepperoni, applewood bacon, fresh basil, marinara, and mozzarella. This one was by far my favorite. The bacon and sausage had a spicy flavor, and the mozzarella was thick and gooey. One bite and the cheese would stretch for days. The other two, the Pepperoni and Chicken Alfredo, were right up there, too. I like that the Chicken Alfredo tasted more like a pizza than not. It had all the combinations of a Chicken Alfredo pasta dish, but with the spices and marinara sauces, it was a sweet combination of both, but it was more of a pizza flavor, which I just loved. I can't leave off the Pretzel Bites; I liked that the cheese and mustard were mixed, bringing on a very favorable dip. Now I must tell you this: the pizzas are supposed to be a personal pan--ten inches with six slices. The hostess warned me these pizzas aren't your regular-sized personal pan. He was right. The pizzas are huge, the slices even bigger. It's a deep-dish pizza with layers of meat, cheese, sauces, and veggies. So you can order three like I did, or just order one and keep coming back, trying different pizzas, which is a great idea considering the place is so inviting. One more thing: You can eat inside or outside on the patio or the lawn with the large TV screen. It's a very relaxed place, and they have a band on certain nights. The pizzas were delicious, hot and fresh! I like the New York style and flavor of the meats which were real and not processed. The staff were friendly and responsive to my needs and requests. The location is vibrant and happening so I would recommend it when in town as a good spot to get out and see what downtown Jackson has to offer. read more

If you're here for a short review, you have come to the wrong Yelp account. I'm a sandwich effect girl so I will give you the good, what they need to work on, and some more good. Let's start with what you really want to know. Is the pizza good? Absolutely. This is a relatively thin, hand pulled crust. Cooked really nice. I like the fact that the edges were still edible. Some places overcook it to the point that you cannot enjoy the edges of the crust. Quality ingredients on everything the pizzas that we ordered. We got the barbecue chicken pizza but we asked for no cilantro. Really nice, sweet barbecue sauce, the chicken had a great taste, just the right amount of red onions. The pepperoni was really good. Large amounts of thin pepperoni with a great sauce, and good quality mozzarella. if you like ranch on your pizza as we do, they make their ranch in house. I wanted the Caesar salad that was on the menu, the server looked at her handheld device and said that it was not on there, so they must be out. That was very disappointing as I wanted something green and crunchy and the rustica salad with the shaved fennel is not something I wanted. I found out later after talking to a manager, that they have discontinued the Caesar salad, although it remains on the menu, and the staff has not been told that. There was a little glitch that I will not go into detail about, but I would like to say that the manager was extremely apologetic, and agreed to make sure it doesn't happen again. It has a really nice vibe and you can look down below and see that they have an entire area with plans to do some type of entertainment on a stage. We have high hopes for this place. Honestly, I won't be eating here again. This is the bare minimum when it comes to pizza. The dough was still raw in the middle and completely undercooked. I wasn't expecting some authentic New York-style pizza experience, but I did expect the pizza to at least be fully cooked. I love the setting of The Station. Located in Fondren, it's a fun vibe with outdoor and indoor seating, cornhole and other outdoor games and a cute bar area. You can't help but have a fun time when dinning in. I ordered the shrimp and boudin pizza (8") and a sweet tea. They have some good looking cocktails based on the menu and I will check some of those out later. Pizza came out quickly. It was hot and the crust was very good. It had a good flavor to it but the boudin overwhelmed the pizza to me. I would definitely eat here again but will try another pizza next time. My server was decent. Stopped in on Thursday night and they were doing happy hour all day! Had a great cocktail and pizza. The bartender has a Jack Black vibe going and is really nice. We had three single ladies all in a row at the bar and we all ordered pizza - so I ended up asking if we could all swap pieces so we could try different pizza types. The Chicken Alfredo and the Balsamic Margherita were the stand outs, the three little pig wasn't our favorite. The Station is an old gas station. Once I walked in no workers were around. It took forever for someone to ask what I wanted to order. There was a girl standing on the side to seem as if she was a sever. I think she had on an apron (on her phone). She never said anything. The cook took forever to come in. This was probably the worst food I've ever had. We are from Texas, just driving through. This was close to our hotel so we decided to take our family there. We ordered pita and hummus, pretzel bites and two pizza's. The pretzels bites were frozen store bought, totally understand, but the dip was pretty awful. My kids wouldn't eat it. Pizza tasted like it was frozen and put in the bro k oven and hummus seemed homemade but no flavor. Very bland and it was hard to tell it was hummus. I hate to leave poor reviews (and have probably only left a few reviews total in my yelp existence) but maybe this place could update its recipes. It was such a fun place just the food was awful. Took the kids to try this pizza and it blew us away, it was one of the best tasting crust I've ever had. High marks from the kids too which says a lot due to their picky eating. The Station has only been open about a month in the heart of Fondren. Full bar, well versed and excellent bartender with Trevor who was doing double duty as a server this Monday night. While the 1000 seat amphitheater out back is still under construction, the kitchen is in full swing. Decor is a blend of retro and old school, and honors the property's life as a service station that is now in a historic district. Nice job on the interior and patios (front and back). While the Monday crowd was light, it was steady and diverse. Women's college soccer players, hipsters, businessmen, moms of Boy Scouts, and this old dude. To the food - the grilled Caesar salad was excellent. Great in-house dressing, not overcooked, very tasty. The menu is diverse, but if you can't master pepperoni pizza then the rest doesn't matter. It was excellent. Crust was golden brown with a slight crunch, lots of cheese, and ample pep. Only 12 inch pizza at this moment, single slices will be available soon. If I could give them a zero, I would. I went there because my family was staying at a nearby hotel in Fondren. We placed an order to go at 10:30 and there was no indication from the hostess that the kitchen was closing, as they also sat another group. After 30 minutes of waiting and now the restaurant is closed they told us the kitchen did not make our order and they were refunding our money. Well it's been 4 business days and no refund. Also no answer when attempting to contact the general manager for 4 days as well. The atmosphere is also horrible as kitchen is outside so you can hear all the inappropriate conversation by the cooks, even using racial and sexist derogatory terms that should not be used in a workplace. I would be totally embarrassed if I was the manager or owner of this establishment. I would not recommend this place as the customer service and management of this business is horrendous. read more
