This is a second review of Aplos, and the first was much better. This is a place I usually love and recommend to people but this experience was too rough not too leave a review. Hopefully this is just a To-go experience because if they have served this food to anyone dining in, I cant imagine a person who wouldnt be disappointed and send it back. I ordered the green goddess kale salad, which is i guess exactly what the menu describes but is beyond underwhelming. It was just wilted lettuce and kale with some crushed bits of parmesean on it with 1 dressing. This salad was 9.75 but proably cost them .25 cents to make. Absolutley horrible salad, you get more taste and value from a pre packaged salad kit at kroger. The other thing I got was the braised beef shwarma wrap. This had some ok flavor but that is completely forgotten about because the whole wrap was sopping in grease. It is a fatty meat, but i could even pick up the wrap without my whole hand being covered in grease and the bread was so covered that it felt like dough. Overall very poor meal from a place that usually really like for their plates, bowls, and drinks. read more

Came here on my visit to Jackson with my homegirl and we ate here for lunch and sat at the bar. Bartender was a young gentleman and he was really nice and inviting, also very knowledgeable of the menu. We took part in the happy hour menu. We both had a glass of red wine (happy hour special). The sausage pizza ($5 off pizzas during happy hour) We also had the wings and the dip trio. -Pizza 4/5 I wasn't a fan of the kind of sausage they used but everything else was fresh and good. -Dip trip 2/5 avocado dip tasted pre packaged from like grocery store as well as the hummus that was really good and the best one of I'm going to be honest and the yogurt dip was just okay. Meh I wouldn't get again. Pita bread was fresh but wasn't a huge fan of the chips that came with it. -Wings 2/5 I love a good chicken wing, decent size but I feel like they used some kind of cheese in the sauce they tossed them in and it messed up the texture. Very gritty. We both did not like the chicken nor the dipping sauce it came with. -Stuffed grape leaves 5/5 were the star of the show I loved the sauce it came with and very flavorful. I loved them Portion size could be a little bigger. The restaurant was cute. Very ascetically appeasing. I'm not a huge fan of the phone ordering takes away from personable interaction but hey. Food came out quickly. I'm not sure being from Cali and spoiled with great food I feel like food low key missed the mark FOR ME. read more

Super fun interior and the prices are right for a fast-casual meal! I came for lunch and got the gyro and fries - both were great! Husband got the chicken gyro and a watermelon mule. I thought the chicken was slightly better than the traditional gyro, but that could have just been my taste that day. The mule was fantastic! Really tasty. Treated my 4 year old niece to lunch at Aplos. It's a beautiful day so we sat outside and were lucky to snag a table with an umbrella to protect against the sun's rays. I love the order from the table feature. It allows you to quickly snag a table when they're busy. I ordered the roasted chicken plate lunch and got her the chicken tender plate. The roasted chicken had good flavor but was a tad dry to me. I love the hummus but didn't like the Greek salad dressing running over into it. I forgot everything comes on one plate and to order my salad in a separate bowl. The brown rice amazingly had flavor. Most places do not get brown rice right but Aplos did. The chicken tenders were the frozen variety. Nothing to get excited about there. Service, considering it was packed inside, on the covered patio and in the courtyard, was good. read more

We really enjoyed our ladies lunch at Aplos. It's a very pretty place. We shared Hummus and each had a different item including the Gyro Plate(enough to share), Pita Mozz, Grilled Chicken Gyro, and a classic Gyro. The frozen flight was very good as you get to try each flavor they offer including the Pumpkin Spice one that had for fall (I'm the only one who liked it). Our only complaint was the food comes out as soon as you sit down but you have to wait 8-10 minutes on alcoholic drinks. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food and drinks except for non-alcoholic drinks. You're given a cup when you order and can get water, tea, soda etc. on the way to your table that you choose. The service is super fast with the food though. You almost can't believe it. First time I dined here , I thought it was awesome. Tonight my gyros was dry and cold. I sent it back and the second one was not much better. It was like they were pre-made and sitting under a light. I have to say this has been one of my consistent favorites in the Jackson metro area for years. The food is always so good without insane prices. It's the perfect environment for families, lunch breaks, and dates. A fairly large menu with lots of options and friendly staff. My recommendation is the pizza or the bowls if a gyro is not what you are looking for. Ordinarily it is satisfactory, but tonight when we opened the box at home, we couldn't find a bit of mozzarella cheese and the tomato sauce was scarce at best. Aplos, most disappointing. Aplos is the perfect spot to enjoy food, drinks, and good company. With indoor and outdoor dining option, the open-seating ambiance easily accommodates individual dining and small group events. Pizzas are never a disappointment, but the tuna dip has become my new low-cal favorite. Service is limited to just bringing out your order. Went to Aplos on June 22, 2024 ordered a Gyro wrap. A screw nut/lug was in my food. I felt it in my mouth luckily I didn't bite down, but it was large. Spit it out immediately made a loud noise on the table. Called the staff. The manager came over said he immediately had to go to the back and stop the use of the batch he came back. He removed the charges and offered me that I could get anything I wanted to replace the meal. I called the number I was told to call. I've never heard anything back because I felt like it needs to go to a higher level then just a store level haven't heard back. I still have my receipt and have attached some pictures. This is a cute Greek spot. I came on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a regular gyro combo. I sat on their patio right outside of their front door. The food was pretty good, I just hate the fact that I had to fight off gnats while eating. (I was eating outside.) Service was really nice.
