Came here on my visit to Jackson with my homegirl and we ate here for lunch and sat at the bar. Bartender was a young gentleman and he was really nice and inviting, also very knowledgeable of the menu. We took part in the happy hour menu. We both had a glass of red wine (happy hour special). The sausage pizza ($5 off pizzas during happy hour) We also had the wings and the dip trio. -Pizza 4/5 I wasn't a fan of the kind of sausage they used but everything else was fresh and good. -Dip trip 2/5 avocado dip tasted pre packaged from like grocery store as well as the hummus that was really good and the best one of I'm going to be honest and the yogurt dip was just okay. Meh I wouldn't get again. Pita bread was fresh but wasn't a huge fan of the chips that came with it. -Wings 2/5 I love a good chicken wing, decent size but I feel like they used some kind of cheese in the sauce they tossed them in and it messed up the texture. Very gritty. We both did not like the chicken nor the dipping sauce it came with. -Stuffed grape leaves 5/5 were the star of the show I loved the sauce it came with and very flavorful. I loved them Portion size could be a little bigger. The restaurant was cute. Very ascetically appeasing. I'm not a huge fan of the phone ordering takes away from personable interaction but hey. Food came out quickly. I'm not sure being from Cali and spoiled with great food I feel like food low key missed the mark FOR ME.

Great food, good cocktails, fast service, friendly workers. Love Aplos! Whether you want to keep it on the healthy side with Mediterranean cuisine or kick back with bar food and cocktails, there is something for everyone. The spicy shrimp pizza is delish! Happy Hour is weekdays from 4-6pm.

Today was my first Aplos experience and I was not disappointed. I had the gyro plate with roasted vegetables and everything was scrumptious! I love Mediterranean food and this was an awesome experience. It was a work outing and our service was top notch! I will definitely be back again, probably on a lunch break next week

I thought the atmosphere in there was incredible. Great music and lighting and the staff was nice. I didn't love my pizza and wish I had gotten something else, but still thought it was good. Overall great place!

Treated my 4 year old niece to lunch at Aplos. It's a beautiful day so we sat outside and were lucky to snag a table with an umbrella to protect against the sun's rays. I love the order from the table feature. It allows you to quickly snag a table when they're busy. I ordered the roasted chicken plate lunch and got her the chicken tender plate. The roasted chicken had good flavor but was a tad dry to me. I love the hummus but didn't like the Greek salad dressing running over into it. I forgot everything comes on one plate and to order my salad in a separate bowl. The brown rice amazingly had flavor. Most places do not get brown rice right but Aplos did. The chicken tenders were the frozen variety. Nothing to get excited about there. Service, considering it was packed inside, on the covered patio and in the courtyard, was good.

We really enjoyed our ladies lunch at Aplos. It's a very pretty place. We shared Hummus and each had a different item including the Gyro Plate(enough to share), Pita Mozz, Grilled Chicken Gyro, and a classic Gyro. The frozen flight was very good as you get to try each flavor they offer including the Pumpkin Spice one that had for fall (I'm the only one who liked it). Our only complaint was the food comes out as soon as you sit down but you have to wait 8-10 minutes on alcoholic drinks. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food and drinks except for non-alcoholic drinks. You're given a cup when you order and can get water, tea, soda etc. on the way to your table that you choose. The service is super fast with the food though. You almost can't believe it. They were busy too!

Everything I've had here is pretty good, but I highly recommend the fries and burger. The burger is great with the feta in it. The atmosphere is great too. You're also able to just sit and order from the table too without having to order up front which is convenient.

The gyro bowl was fantastic! The staff is always helpful and the service is fast. The hummus and whipped feta were worth going back for.

Oh, what a treasure this place is!…read more I am a big fan of Mediterranean food and this place does not disapoint. I had the cold plate with a side of gyro meat in order to try a little bit of everything and boy, I was glad I did. Everything is incredibly fresh and tasty. THIS PLACE IS THE JAM Y'ALL…read more For Jackson, this is about as good as Mediterranean food is going to get. I gave it four stars because well, I lived in New Orleans, and I've tasted better Mediterranean food (Lebanon Cafe, Mona's). That's not to say that this Mediterranean food is not good. It's SO good. Shin e. is right, they do have a grocery section which is nice, unfortunately, Jackson doesn't have a huge need for Middle Eastern groceries, so some of the items may have sat on the shelf for a lil' while. The stuff in the case is solid though. The desserts are for the most part really good. The tiramisu is AWESOME, but I'm not sure that it justifies the $5.99 pricetag. Try a chocolate pecan bar instead, they're really good (but I'm not sure that it's a middle eastern thing) The hummous is SO SO fresh, you can taste the lemon and olive oil. Do yourself a favor and get some to-go for later in the week. Okay so pricing is a little pricy, but in all fairness the portions are pretty huge. The best time to go is for lunch, where you can get lunch plates in the neighborhood of $6-9. Dinner gets a little pricy with plates ranging from $10-$20. I had the kebab which was good, but not the best I've ever had. Then I tried my brother's dish, and realized I made a mistake choosing meat. This place is called Mediterranean Cafe and Fish Grill, and griling fish is a fine art that they have perfected. True, they use frozen fish, but they do a pretty good job at making it palatable. Hell, even more than palatable. I would recommend getting the pasta with fish. The pasta is done in this mediterranean sauce that I'm not familiar with, but it's delicious, and there are also grilled vegetables with it too. DEF. worth the visit. The owner (Elias?) is a very accommodating guy. One last tip, this place is BYOB! Which is amazing! (Except on Sundays). There's a liquor store in the strip, but I'd recommend shopping elsewhere for wine selections.

The ambiance and service weren't exactly as expected. Orders must be placed before sitting down and you take your own order number to the table. Beverages are self service. We ordered four whole pan trouts with fries and a side of okra. The fish initially looked amazing. The top two pieces of fish were as expected. However, underneath were disappointing thick big honks of fish. Actually, two huge fish were cut into half and counted as four whole fish. I was immediately turned off seeing those big hunks of fish buried under the desirable and scrumptious looking whole fish. When asked if everything was okay, an honest response was given. The excuse was that due to the size of the fish, it would cost more to get all four whole. What a poor excuse! If it cost more, charge more and give what's advertised on the menu or at least an option; not a surprise. The menu should have stated: two whole fish and pieces equivalent to four. The whole fish was very good, seasoned and fried to perfection. However, we could not eat the hunks. We didn't expect to see anything but whole fish, as described on the menu. If I return, I would only order one whole fish with hopes of receiving just that. I would never waste my money on the four whole fish listed on the menu, since it is not as described and expected.

I was greeted by the sweetest young lady who offered to make recs for me before she left for my tea. I ordered the Lulu Greek salad add chicken shwarma. I asked her to keep the pita bread. Insert me sobbing here. It was hard but I did it. Man was that salad phenomenal. Chicken breast that had a nice crust on it but was not dry. Crisp vegetables.
