    Mini Wedge Salad

We love coming Aplós at the Renaissance! On our visit yesterday, at lunch, we had the grilled chicken wrap, a pita mozz, the mini wedge salad, and an order of Greek fries. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! The servers were all very polite and attentive. The ambiance and decor inside is peaceful and relaxing, and it smells divine! I can't wait to go back!

Aplos never disappoints! I am a Chicago native and gyros are a staple, however I was pleasantly pleased when I had theirs. So light and refreshing, with the mixed veggies. This time I tried the redfish and it was superb!!! I also enjoy their baklava!! Love Aplos, they have become a lunch favorite! They also have the best hummus on the planet

i'm not sure why i enjoy eating here. i always think i'm going to enjoy it much more than i do. today i ordered the pita mozzarella, but it was never delivered to the table. i shared my mom's italian sausage pizza which was ok. my daughter had the grilled chicken plate. it looked just ok as well. the best part was enjoying the outside view. the friendly manager did apologize and take the pita off my ticket. i so want to enjoy this place, maybe i'm not ordering correctly!

From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. You can show up wearing anything from your Sunday best to your comfiest kicks and still blend in seamlessly during lunch hours. I head over to the carry-out counter, ready to feast, when suddenly, I spot the bar area. Without skipping a beat, I pivot to the bar. First up, the Spicy Paloma. It's like a taste explosion in the best possible way! Seriously, it deserves the FYE stamp of approval (that's "fire" for those not fluent in southern twang ). Then, I take a sip of the Strawberry Ginger Mojito, and my taste buds are in for a wild ride. Refreshing? It's like summer in a glass. I'm halfway tempted to pull out my seersucker suit! The real MVP, the Greek wings. They looked good enough to make your mouth water, but they tasted even better! The hint of Parmesan took them to a whole new level. Overall, this place knocked it out of the park. Great vibes, FYE drinks, and food that'll make your taste buds happy. The service was A1 from the carry out counter to the bar. Can't wait to come back for round two!

The food was great. Milkshakes are interesting in a good way. The service was also great. It was a little hard finding a seat. Staff could do a better job at cleaning and resetting the tables.

For most people this would be 5/5, but I rarely go that high. Wonderful food and fun play area for toddlers. Got pizza and burger and both were at least 8/10. Highly recommend to anyone wanting something new.

We took a group from the office for lunch today. There were 6 of us and the food & service was great. I had the Greek salad with chicken shawarma & it was delicious. Others had pizza, rice bowls & hummus & everyone really enjoyed it.

    Hummus Bowl

Food was really good as always They messed up our order, but made it beyond right It is slightly above average noise level, but good enough that you can carry on a good conversation

Oh, what a treasure this place is!…read more I am a big fan of Mediterranean food and this place does not disapoint. I had the cold plate with a side of gyro meat in order to try a little bit of everything and boy, I was glad I did. Everything is incredibly fresh and tasty. The real stand out for me is the tzatziki sauce - HOLY CATS!! I have never tasted anything so good.

THIS PLACE IS THE JAM Y'ALL…read more For Jackson, this is about as good as Mediterranean food is going to get. I gave it four stars because well, I lived in New Orleans, and I've tasted better Mediterranean food (Lebanon Cafe, Mona's). That's not to say that this Mediterranean food is not good. It's SO good. Shin e. is right, they do have a grocery section which is nice, unfortunately, Jackson doesn't have a huge need for Middle Eastern groceries, so some of the items may have sat on the shelf for a lil' while. The stuff in the case is solid though. The desserts are for the most part really good. The tiramisu is AWESOME, but I'm not sure that it justifies the $5.99 pricetag. Try a chocolate pecan bar instead, they're really good (but I'm not sure that it's a middle eastern thing) The hummous is SO SO fresh, you can taste the lemon and olive oil. Do yourself a favor and get some to-go for later in the week. Okay so pricing is a little pricy, but in all fairness the portions are pretty huge. The best time to go is for lunch, where you can get lunch plates in the neighborhood of $6-9. Dinner gets a little pricy with plates ranging from $10-$20. I had the kebab which was good, but not the best I've ever had. Then I tried my brother's dish, and realized I made a mistake choosing meat. This place is called Mediterranean Cafe and Fish Grill, and griling fish is a fine art that they have perfected. True, they use frozen fish, but they do a pretty good job at making it palatable. Hell, even more than palatable. I would recommend getting the pasta with fish. The pasta is done in this mediterranean sauce that I'm not familiar with, but it's delicious, and there are also grilled vegetables with it too. DEF. worth the visit. The owner (Elias?) is a very accommodating guy. One last tip, this place is BYOB! Which is amazing! (Except on Sundays). There's a liquor store in the strip, but I'd recommend shopping elsewhere for wine selections.

The ambiance and service weren't exactly as expected. Orders must be placed before sitting down and you take your own order number to the table. Beverages are self service. We ordered four whole pan trouts with fries and a side of okra. The fish initially looked amazing. The top two pieces of fish were as expected. However, underneath were disappointing thick big honks of fish. Actually, two huge fish were cut into half and counted as four whole fish. I was immediately turned off seeing those big hunks of fish buried under the desirable and scrumptious looking whole fish. When asked if everything was okay, an honest response was given. The excuse was that due to the size of the fish, it would cost more to get all four whole. What a poor excuse! If it cost more, charge more and give what's advertised on the menu or at least an option; not a surprise. The menu should have stated: two whole fish and pieces equivalent to four. The whole fish was very good, seasoned and fried to perfection. However, we could not eat the hunks. We didn't expect to see anything but whole fish, as described on the menu. If I return, I would only order one whole fish with hopes of receiving just that. I would never waste my money on the four whole fish listed on the menu, since it is not as described and expected.

A review for another time but once I left the glass place I needed comfort food. I love kebab. A friend was married to an Iranian guy and I got hooked on kebab, basmati and warm flatbread. I was greeted by the sweetest young lady who offered to make recs for me before she left for my tea. I ordered the Lulu Greek salad add chicken shwarma. I asked her to keep the pita bread. The falafel was fantastic! It might have been the best I have ever had. Loved it!! Hummus was great too! I had the Combo plate for lunch. It had gyro meat and the driest chicken I've ever tried to eat. Gyro was pretty crunchy too. It came with more hummus, a salad with a great dressing, and some rice. It was just ok. From the time I walked in and until I walked out I was treated like family! The Greek Beef Stick Wrap was outstanding. The beef was seasoned perfectly with that classic Mediterranean blend of savory, slightly herby, and deeply flavorful without being overpowering.
