Fantastic local pizza place! We ate at their sister restaurant in Clinton and loved it so much that we wanted to give this location a try as well. This location has a larger seating area with the same great tasting pizza. Their manager Jeremy is AWESOME! He was super friendly and suggested his two favorite pizzas which were spot on. I had The Diamond pizza on traditional crust and it was soooo good. I loved the combination of the queso sauce, the bbq sauce and all the great meats. Highly recommend you give it a try. The small was a ton of food for one person and super filling. My husband always gets the meats every where we go and Jeremy suggested he try it with Alfredo which was super tasty. Definitely give this place a try, their thick traditional crust cannot be beat. Also, Jeremy needs a raise because he is a fantastic employee!!!

BBQ Chicken Pizza - Medium 12'' (8 Slices)

I should have read the recent reviews of this pizza place before even placing my order. However, I saw them bragging on their Facebook profile about being the best pizza place in MS for 14 years. I highly doubt this is still the case unless they only cook the food properly for competitions. I should have taken a picture of the entire pizza but it was only suggested after we had started eating it since it was already paid for. I ordered both the BBQ chicken pizza and an order of cheese sticks. They both were burnt and overcooked. Save yourself the trouble and just skip this restaurant until they care about the food they serve to their customers. This order was placed today Jan 5, 2025.

    Carnivore pizza small

Hi everything could improve at the Pizza Shacks in Jackson MS I place a order on Sunday December 8, 2024 at 3:30 pm the man that answer the phone took the order for a small carnivore pizza cost $12.75 only get 4 small slices . The man said it would be 25 to 30 mins but it to 45 mins or longer for the order to come out I did not look in the box I was ready togo and it was raining when I got home to Madison Ms and open the box the pizza was hard and dry an burned and I was hungry and not warm @all see pictures below. I call back the young man answer the phone he told me to bring it back tomorrow.

I ordered an hour before closing (probably not the best idea because there were so many people also ordering last minute) but I thought if I ordered it online it would be ready by the time I arrived. It wasn't, but no big deal. I waited inside for an additional 20-30 minutes as they approached closing. Everyone inside wore their masks but I found it quite negligent that the few workers present weren't wearing their masks correctly. Nonetheless, the wait was well worth it I suppose. I ordered a small carnivore pizza (pepperoni, sausage, beef, ham, & I took off the bacon) with a 6 piece traditional buffalo hot wings and sweet tea. The pizza was really good and they have the good ranch (if you know, you know). The best thing about this black-owned pizza business is the vast variety of selections & toppings that you can choose from guaranteed to satisfy everyone.

The food is delicious. We ordered a large Carnivore (all meat) and a large cheese pizza plus 6 sodas in regular cans. Cost was $64.78. Then we waited almost 25min for our order. More expensive than the service and the environment should have been. At least the pizza was good. I now know why most folks called their order in and took it to go. Parking and parking LOT behind building suck. If you have a nice vehicle do NOT drive behind building. The outside of this building is a little sketchy (broken window, and lots of bars on the door. Inside isn't necessarily meant for large (6 people) groups. Not enough sitting inside. Had three employees sitting at one of the few booths so even more limited sitting. One of our booths table literally wobbles so much you have to eat with your elbows on the table. Order is at register, only drinks are can's or bottles. More selection of beer than soda's. Food was good but more expensive than I believe it should have been. Service was ok for paper plates and can drinks with no refills.Carnivore Pizza

Chicken Alfredo Pizza...you don't have to get the Roman Tomatoes.

This is probably the best pizza spot in the Jackson-Metro area. The customer service is always good and their pizzas are very, very consistent and taste great. When you get a Pizza from Pizza Shack you will not have to worry about skimpy toppings or soggy dough. Everything is based on quality. I usually go for the chicken or shrimp Alfredo. My family prefers the carnivore or supreme. Basically they all taste good. They also fix them to your specification. If you like your pizza cooked a little longer or need spinach added etc, they will make sure it's done. Give them a try, you'll probably be a repeat customer.

Ordered lemon pepper wings but they had no lemon pepper seasoning at all.

Food was bad/mid, and it took 45 minutes for our food to get there even though we were 15 minutes away. Super dissatisfied

That thick, golden crust has the perfect balance of crisp edges and soft, airy chew in the middle. You can tell it is baked with intention. The cheese caramelizes along the sides, the sauce is bright without being overpowering, and every bite feels indulgent without tipping into heavy. It is hearty, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. Then there is the cheese bread, which deserves its own applause. Warm, gooey, and unapologetically cheesy, it hits that ideal sweet spot between pillowy dough and rich melted cheese. It is the kind of thing you plan to take home leftovers of and then mysteriously finish in the car. What really seals the deal, though, is the customer service. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy you are there. Orders come out with care, questions are answered with enthusiasm, and the whole experience feels relaxed and neighborly. You never feel rushed, just well taken care of. Poppy Pies fits Fondren perfectly. It is cozy, confident, and clearly made with love. Whether you are there for a full pizza night with the family or just grabbing cheese bread to treat yourself, it is absolutely worth the stop and very easy to crave again.

We were seated quickly, as it was not super busy on a Saturday afternoon. Our server came quickly and took our drink orders and filled them quickly. She even handled our change of mind without a pause. Nice! Appetizer of Fried ravioli with Parmesan cheese sprinkled was nice and crunchy. Served with marinara sauce. Mom got the Chicken Parmigiana, layered over fettuccini. The portion was huge and quite crunchy, without being overcooked. The chicken was still tender and not dry but the flavor was just meh. It also was lacking in marinara sauce for the noodles. The star of the show was the 4 Train Remix pizza! It comes with Grade mozerella, grilled chicken, smoked gouda, pickled onions, roasted corn, chipotle bbq sauce and cilantro. I opted to add brisket to the 14" pie. Have mercy! The flavor!! The toppings worked so well together and the brisket just added another level of complexity. I would have preferred a slightly thicker crust since the oils tend to sog our the crust. It was a little messy to hold but that just added to the fun. We also tried the Nada Colada mocktail with Torani coconut, pineapple juice and ginger ale and it was really good.

He insisted that he move our tables to be one big table. I told him it was okay because I didnt want to bother him, but he insisted, saying he wanted me and my little nephew to be comfortable. He handed us the menus, and we decided to order three different pizzas and the Pretzel Bites for the appetizer. The first pizza was the Three Little Pigs, a delicious combination of Italian sausage, pepperoni, applewood bacon, fresh basil, marinara, and mozzarella. This one was by far my favorite. The bacon and sausage had a spicy flavor, and the mozzarella was thick and gooey. One bite and the cheese would stretch for days. The other two, the Pepperoni and Chicken Alfredo, were right up there, too. I like that the Chicken Alfredo tasted more like a pizza than not. It had all the combinations of a Chicken Alfredo pasta dish, but with the spices and marinara sauces, it was a sweet combination of both, but it was more of a pizza flavor, which I just loved. I can't leave off the Pretzel Bites; I liked that the cheese and mustard were mixed, bringing on a very favorable dip. Now I must tell you this: the pizzas are supposed to be a personal pan--ten inches with six slices. The hostess warned me these pizzas aren't your regular-sized personal pan. He was right. The pizzas are huge, the slices even bigger. It's a deep-dish pizza with layers of meat, cheese, sauces, and veggies. So you can order three like I did, or just order one and keep coming back, trying different pizzas, which is a great idea considering the place is so inviting. One more thing: You can eat inside or outside on the patio or the lawn with the large TV screen. It's a very relaxed place, and they have a band on certain nights. I can tell you for sure that the hostess, the food, and the ambiance make this place what it is, very inviting.
