Picked a random place for date night and it was Angelo's! I am thoroughly impressed and pleased, as a newbie to Madison, I have been searching for some good food. Everything was fresh, cooked when ordered, promptly and perfectly. Service was great. She seemed a tad hasty but I think that was due to short staffed that night. The bread was to die for. Those fried Mac n cheese bites? Bury me with them. Please. If I had to complain, it would be the bathroom. Even then, it's not much. Single bathroom. Just very simple. Ambiance is adorable. Waitress was nice. Food was extremely overpriced. Chicken Alfredo has no business being $30. Fast service but only because there were no customers. That's probably due to the expensive menu that doesn't match what they have online. Can get this quality of food at any other restaurant for half the price. read more

My husband and I had a late lunch here today where we ordered a small falcon and a small cougar. Each is 6 small pieces so it's a good idea to do it this way and then you can try two different pizzas. The Falcon comes with a ton of cheese- crawfish, Alfredo sauce, feta cheese, shrimp, artichoke, and Roma tomatoes. The Cougar had chicken, pepperoni, Italian sausage,bacon, and Canadian bacon. Had the spaghetti with meatballs! Was absolutely horrible. Worse spaghetti I've ever tasted. Would not recommend!

Highly recommend the Goodfellow sandwich. It's as good an old school NY deli style sandwich as you will find in the Jackson area. Service is prompt and courteous. Atmosphere is nothing special but solid over all. Definitely recommend. read more

We have eaten there several times but this time it "felt" off. The place next door was packed but Angelo's itself was not. So much so that it didn't look open. We were seated fairly quickly and soon after the waitress took our drink order which came pretty quickly. Then we waited. After waiting 25 to 30 minutes I decided to cut our losses. Always loved Angelos BUT the last two visits the quality of food was disappointing. - The last time there the ribs tasted as if they were day old. The fries were soggy and the green beans were straight out of a can- no seasoning. It appears the mudbug part of the business is getting all the staff's attention. I just got off a flight from California and I was starving. My cousin suggested this place and mentioned the Chicken Alfredo is really good. So that's what I ordered with extra sauce on the side. Their Chicken Alfredo they use Angel Hair Pasta and added mushrooms and it was delicious. I like the Angel Hair Pasta instead of Fettuccine Noodles. I'll try the lasagna the next time in the area. Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It's a mix of blue collars and professionals. The food is great as well as the atmosphere. I loved the shrimp scampi. If it only had real Parmesan cheese as opposed to Kraft Parmesan then it would have been a home run. The Fried chicken was over cooked but the green beans were delicious. Never consistent with their dishes. Always order the same pizza. The first few times it was hot fresh and exactly what I ordered. It went down hill from there. Never the same not hot and not what I ordered. After this happened 5-6 times decided to try some spaghetti and meatballs. It was horrible. Not fresh and not enough sauce. This was all take out.
