This location is always top tier for service and cleanliness. I was here a few weeks ago with my littles. My oldest dropped her drink; everyone was so polite and helpful. One of the ladies even offered to watch my oldest if I needed to go to the restroom or refill my drink. Today, they were polite and the restrooms were clean. I was really looking forward to this one & wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be but the food was really good. -WHAT WENT WRONG: The food took almost 40min they were more focused on to go orders and the interior was not as clean upon inspection as you would expect. We sat in a widow side booth that had a dead fly in the window, trash and a thick layer of visible dust- we decided to change seating when the wall had food and what appeared to be a booger on it. -WHAT WENT RIGHT when we finally got our food it was yummy. I had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and a fruit bowl with a sweet tea to drink. My hubby had a supreme pizza and sweet tea and step daughter had a Dr Pepper pepperoni pizza and Mac. No issues with the cooked food items but my fruit was half good half old and questionable. I started to pick thru it and stopped and just went to ask for new fruit and the manager maybe the owner but the person in charge was like well what kind of fruit would you like... and I was like well fresh fruit that isn't going old or looking questionable I showed him that I hadn't eaten much of it and he then went to get me a new one. All in all I was underwhelmed for $50+ for 3 ppl I guess I wanted a little more quality and felt a small bit let down there. I will try them again but just me myself not the family. read more

I had the Greek salad and it was amazing... It was a nice size salad with a good amount of toppings. The balsamic vinaigrette was to die for I could put it in a cup and drink it, but I won't. I recently placed an online order at the Flowood, MS store. I arrived at the time my order stated it would be ready. The young girl helping seemed confused and said " someone picked that up already I believe!" I am not from the area and knew no one else would have picked it up. Anyways, she was on top of things getting a new order ready for me. She also insisted I grab a dessert OTH due to inconvenience. I was not upset about anything, as I know these things can happen. Every since dining stated and COVID the service, quality, and quantity, has gone down hill. Today's order wasn't complete and it is the second time I. Two weeks. The Medium-Rare Petite Tenderloin Steak did not have any salad. There was four cars at curbside service and the drivers ended up going in to run down their orders. I have been a regular diner at Newks in Flowood as long as it has been there. On my last few visits dining there, I have observed things in their food prep area that bother me. On one occasion I saw a person in that area applying her lip gloss. I reported it to management. Today as I eat my lunch I see two people using their cell phones standing in the midst of the food. I think it is known that cell phones are one of the most unsanitary things that we handle. Also the young man in hood, with pants hanging below waste, delivered my food in a surly manner. It appeared that he could care less about serving the customer. It saddens me to see these things happening at one of my favorite places to dine. I would like to condition eating at Newks, but I have to say that if I continue to observe these types of things, it might sway my decision to fine there. read more

Ive been a regular for years, but, unfortunately, this was my worst experience at this, or any other, Newk's EVER! Granted, it was a Sunday at noon and the Restuarant was very busy, but food preparation and timeliness were sorely lacking! My wife's Pimento and Cheese sandwich was the poorest excuse for an offering as I've ever seen! Extremely thin smear of Pimento and cheese! Barely recognizable as a P&C sandwich! Returned it personally to the kitchen and guess what? Someone else had sent their sandwich back in the same condition so this wasn't a "one off" or mistake by a new, untrained employee. Mgr was embarrassed, furious at his staff and rightfully so! Later, I went back to the Mgr to check on one of our grandchildren's pizza that took well over 20 minutes after the rest of our food was delivered to the table. Was told it was "third in line"!Thirty minutes after everything else has already been delivered to the table, the pizza was finally delivered to our table. By then, our hot food was cold and ruined the meal for all involved! Salads were fine based on all reviews from our tables. Oh, I'll eventually go back, but will remember this experience for a loooong time! Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice and you've lost a previously loyal Customer forever! JMK read more

The service is incredible and the food is delicious. Sadly, the portions are getting smaller. The manager told me that they were not. I guess it's a perception issue or my renewed love of exercise causes my arms to think everything is lighter (and my stronger eyes make every thing look smaller?). The salad/soup combo was okay but there wasn't enough dressing. The place was busy and we couldn't get a server to help.
