When you're traveling or staying in a hotel, Newk's can be a convenient option for a quick meal. I ordered the Caesar Salad with salmon. The salad itself was fresh, crisp, and generously portioned, but the salmon was slightly overcooked and could have used more seasoning. If you're ordering it to-go, don't forget to grab the salt, pepper, crackers, and a few lemon wedges. A squeeze of fresh lemon and a little seasoning made a big difference and brought the salmon to life. Now, let's talk about dessert--the Lemon Blueberry Cake was the star of the meal! Moist, creamy, and packed with flavor, every bite had the perfect balance of sweet lemon and juicy blueberries. The frosting was light and delicious without being overly sweet. The Caesar dressing was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, coating the fresh romaine perfectly. The croutons were fresh, crisp, and added the perfect crunch to every bite." Overall, the salad was good with a little extra help from the condiment station, but the Lemon Blueberry Cake was absolutely worth the visit. If you're a dessert lover, don't skip it! read more

I ordered Pepperoni pizza and 1/2 salad with sweet tea. It cost around $18.00! It was good but, a little pricey. Today was Black Friday and there was no wait. They may need to come down on there prices so average income families can afford to eat there! Restaurant was clean and the hostess was courteous! read more

food was ready fast. Restaurant was nice and clean. service was nice and welcoming. I love Newks!!!!

This location is always top tier for service and cleanliness. I was here a few weeks ago with my littles. My oldest dropped her drink; everyone was so polite and helpful. One of the ladies even offered to watch my oldest if I needed to go to the restroom or refill my drink. Today, they were polite and the restrooms were clean. My order has always been correct and gloves are always worn. Today, I told the gentlemen have a great day and he replied for me to have a better one. Thank you. read more

Food is good but relatively expensive for size of servings. Most items are small, not shareable unless very light eaters or for snacks. (And we are seniors and fairly light eaters.) read more

so sad they got rid of the baked garlic and pickle bar. that used to be the highlight of going there! had the french dip tonight, the onions were way too sweet! read more

I was really looking forward to this one & wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be but the food was really good. -WHAT WENT WRONG: The food took almost 40min they were more focused on to go orders and the interior was not as clean upon inspection as you would expect. We sat in a widow side booth that had a dead fly in the window, trash and a thick layer of visible dust- we decided to change seating when the wall had food and what appeared to be a booger on it. -WHAT WENT RIGHT when we finally got our food it was yummy. I had the chicken bacon ranch pizza and a fruit bowl with a sweet tea to drink. My hubby had a supreme pizza and sweet tea and step daughter had a Dr Pepper pepperoni pizza and Mac. No issues with the cooked food items but my fruit was half good half old and questionable. I started to pick thru it and stopped and just went to ask for new fruit and the manager maybe the owner but the person in charge was like well what kind of fruit would you like... and I was like well fresh fruit that isn't going old or looking questionable I showed him that I hadn't eaten much of it and he then went to get me a new one. All in all I was underwhelmed for $50+ for 3 ppl I guess I wanted a little more quality and felt a small bit let down there. I will try them again but just me myself not the family. read more

Quick and delicious!! Able to order online and ts ready when I arrive.....................

This Newk's has really gone downhill. The last 2 times I ordered salads, they really skimp out on the toppings, especially the chicken which they charge an extra $4 for. read more

Love me some Newk's. My go to for salad and sandwiches. Yummy we especially love the Flowood location for eat in and takeout.

I had the Greek salad and it was amazing... It was a nice size salad with a good amount of toppings. The balsamic vinaigrette was to die for I could put it in a cup and drink it, but I won't. The service was quick and the employees were very nice and helpful. I ordered online and my food was ready by the time I got there .... Everyone should try Newk's atleast once in thier life they won't regret it. read more

Food was hot and excellent. ready when we got to pickup station. Will definitely eat there again. Service was great.

Good food and good service, the staff is very friendly! The menu is diverse -something for everyone.

Friendly & attentive staff. Great food, clean restaurant, well lit, & a family favorite.

I recently placed an online order at the Flowood, MS store. I arrived at the time my order stated it would be ready. The young girl helping seemed confused and said " someone picked that up already I believe!" I am not from the area and knew no one else would have picked it up. Anyways, she was on top of things getting a new order ready for me. She also insisted I grab a dessert OTH due to inconvenience. I was not upset about anything, as I know these things can happen. Even after waiting for the food to be made again, it still was not long at all. I wish I had gotten the young ladies name, as she was very helpful and on top of things for me. read more

Every since dining stated and COVID the service, quality, and quantity, has gone down hill. Today's order wasn't complete and it is the second time I. Two weeks. The Medium-Rare Petite Tenderloin Steak did not have any salad. There was four cars at curbside service and the drivers ended up going in to run down their orders. The chicken salad sandwich and coleslaw was it's regular excellent order. read more

They got some very good pimento an cheese sandwich cold or hot great salads an very good pizzas wife loves them . Thanks

I have been a regular diner at Newks in Flowood as long as it has been there. On my last few visits dining there, I have observed things in their food prep area that bother me. On one occasion I saw a person in that area applying her lip gloss. I reported it to management. Today as I eat my lunch I see two people using their cell phones standing in the midst of the food. I think it is known that cell phones are one of the most unsanitary things that we handle. Also the young man in hood, with pants hanging below waste, delivered my food in a surly manner. It appeared that he could care less about serving the customer. It saddens me to see these things happening at one of my favorite places to dine. I would like to condition eating at Newks, but I have to say that if I continue to observe these types of things, it might sway my decision to fine there. read more

This place was ok. You would think this type of a restaurant would be more suited for places like (LA, Vegas, NYC) not MS. The food was very pricey and small portion sizes as well. Don't come here on an empty stomach. But the food was good...meh read more

Ive been a regular for years, but, unfortunately, this was my worst experience at this, or any other, Newk's EVER! Granted, it was a Sunday at noon and the Restuarant was very busy, but food preparation and timeliness were sorely lacking! My wife's Pimento and Cheese sandwich was the poorest excuse for an offering as I've ever seen! Extremely thin smear of Pimento and cheese! Barely recognizable as a P&C sandwich! Returned it personally to the kitchen and guess what? Someone else had sent their sandwich back in the same condition so this wasn't a "one off" or mistake by a new, untrained employee. Mgr was embarrassed, furious at his staff and rightfully so! Later, I went back to the Mgr to check on one of our grandchildren's pizza that took well over 20 minutes after the rest of our food was delivered to the table. Was told it was "third in line"!Thirty minutes after everything else has already been delivered to the table, the pizza was finally delivered to our table. By then, our hot food was cold and ruined the meal for all involved! Salads were fine based on all reviews from our tables. Oh, I'll eventually go back, but will remember this experience for a loooong time! Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice and you've lost a previously loyal Customer forever! JMK read more

(Edit: Changed to 4 stars. Reason: The food is just so good I have to overlook the pricing issue. My comments below still apply though.) I used to think this was a 4-5 star joint. The service is incredible and the food is delicious. Sadly, the portions are getting smaller. The manager told me that they were not. I guess it's a perception issue or my renewed love of exercise causes my arms to think everything is lighter (and my stronger eyes make every thing look smaller?). Side note: $6 for a small side of pimento Mac and cheese?!?! 2 out of two people that ordered it that day agree that is nuts. Is it made with white truffle? Rhino horn? I won't be back for a while. read more

Great sandwiches, soups, and salads. Tea too. I like the Newk's Favorite salad with the sherry vinaigrette dressing. Newk's is the better big brother of McAlister's deli (same family/company I believe) read more

We tried both a salad and a pizza. The pizza was good tasting, but the sauce and toppings didn't cover the dough - there was a large ring of crust over an inch wide. That was disappointing. The salad/soup combo was okay but there wasn't enough dressing. The place was busy and we couldn't get a server to help. This is an okay place, typical in price and quality to a Mod Pizza or such. read more
