    Salad with ranch

The most fresh ingredients! I love the concept of this little place. I am picky about lettuce and salads in general, so I rarely order them at restaurants. But at Salad Station, I get to customize everything to my liking and end up much happier! It is very clean and fresh, and usually a pretty quick pick up option for lunch. I love to have them chop my salad, too. Such a great place!

I really wish sometimes I could stay out of this place! But... it's only harming my pockets! I typically spend about $20 per visit at least twice weekly. Everything is weighed (salad ingredients and dressing) but it is all so good. I've only been once out of about 25 times when I questioned the freshness and this was due to some slimy cucumbers. It's always clean. My only complaint about this place is the iceberg/romaine mix of lettuce. It's typically very wet. While the spinach and Spring mix are dry. I haven't mentioned this to them but considering their service, I'm positive they would dry it if I asked. But, I just think it should be dry already. The employees are super friendly. They also have some really good lemonade flavors too. The seating is limited and depending on the time you go, you may have a bit of a wait as you travel through the salad buffet or may not find a seat inside; there's a couple tables outside. I've sat in a couple times but I mostly take my items to go and enjoy them at my desk. I know this is probably just a plus for a few of us, but I'm so glad it's near my job. I wish they had more locations.

It's a salad. Except the kind you don't ever want to eat.

I don't even know that this place warrants a review. But all of it was a no. After reading everyone else's 5 star review I am genuinely confused so let me tell you about my experience. There were maybe 6 people total inside not including the three seemingly nice girls serving and behind the cash register. Upon walking in we noticed that there were two bars - hot and cold and were super pleased to see a variety of pretty much anything you could want in a salad. That's where the happiness ended. The lettuce, we will start there, was partially browning and looked wilted. I opted for iceberg lettuce, the pieces that weren't browned, and proceeded to try a slew of toppings including their tortellini and pasta salad. I chose the following: Quinoa, Beets, Gorgonzola/Blue, Eggs, a pickle, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, raw mushrooms, croutons and fried onions. From the hot bar I chose a potato with sour cream, a little bit of cheese, mushrooms and their BBQ. All of this had either no flavor or bad flavor. The salad had no flavor - period. And the ranch dressing tasted like it turned.. the Italian dressing was decent so kudos for that. The pasta had no flavor. Neither of them. The hard boiled eggs were actually hard in an unpleasant way. The potato was sitting under a heat lamp and thus it became the kind of potato that gets difficult to eat because it feels like glue once you chew it. The sour cream was sitting near heat and tasted like it had also turned along with the warm cheese and roasted mushrooms that had a brine like taste. The BBQ pork was hard and warm and overly sweet and crazily sauced. I wanted to like this place, I really did. I really, really did. It would have offered the metro area a place other than Newks or McAllisters to get a salad. It was nearly all negative. I'm sorry. Maybe I came on an off day since so many other people had positive reviews but this was just horrible and could never recommend this place to anyone. Here are the photos. They probably look fine but ....no...they were not fine at all.

HUGE SELECTION!!!!!! And I mean huge!! Think triple what you would find at a Ruby Tuesday salad bar! They have almost everything you could want! I have to say almost everything because the only onion choice is red onions which I personally think have a strong taste for salads, but hey you can't please everyone! Lol but this place really is awesome I've been telling everyone to try it!! The address takes you to the wrong place but I called the number and a very friendly employee helped me get there! They also have a baked potato bar and hot soups! The salads are weighed by the pound and the dressing is weighed as well!

Came in for a quick salad while I was on a business trip and truly hit the jackpot! This place is super cute, clean, and has tons of seating. The food is extremely fresh and there is a MASSIVE selection of salad toppings. You can make a wrap or have them chop your salad. Tons of dressings and vinegars and oils. They even have a hot bar with soups, grilled veggies, spaghetti, Mac and cheese, and baked potatoes and well. Lots of meat and seafood options and I believe they had tofu for all the vegans and vegetarians. They do way by the pound so if you eat a lot (like me) this gets expensive quick. Well worth it though! Only wish they had WiFi and outlets because it wasn't easy to work from here, but the food is an A++++.

It's lettuce and some stuff to put on it with people with questionable attitudes watching you as you fix it yourself. Overall, good salad.

When we arrived, we waited longer than expected to be seated, regardless of there being several open tables. There was no communication from the staff about the delay, which left us feeling confused and awkwardly waiting. Once we were seated, the atmosphere was cozy and we were looking forward to the evening! After our server was assigned, her attitude was okay, but she walked away quickly after taking our order, which made it difficult to ask questions or make additional requests. The service overall felt slow. When our food arrived, it was lukewarm to cold. We ordered the same pasta we usually get at the Ridgeland location, but it was not the same. The flavor was lacking, and it did not taste freshly prepared. The only dish we enjoyed was the Caesar Salad.... Also, all 5 of us ordered an espresso martini and I ordered mine with Tito's and mine was made differently than the others which was strange. I make espresso martinis at home while maintaining the creaminess and I'm not sure what this bartender was doing. We did askfor our martinis to be creamy. Overall, this experience was disappointing compared to the consistently great food and service we've had at the Ridgeland location.

I'm always intrigued by lasagna so I ordered the one on the happy hour menu. I also ordered the happy hour Caesar salad. The salad was bigger than I expected given it was on the happy hour menu. It was decent but I could have used more dressing. The lasagna was good with plenty of sauce and cheese. I could taste the various flavors but could have used a touch of seasoning in the meat. I will caution anyone who goes to happy hour. The staff didn't warn me that the happy hour specials were not small portions so order accordingly as I had a lot of food to take home. Staff was sweet and packed my extras up. Made for a great lunch the next day.

After a successful purchase and a hemorrhaging from my credit card, we opted to celebrate the occasion with a meal. And Lo and behold Table 100 was just across the street from where we were. Ambiance 4 Stars - as you walk into the establishment, you are transported back where the warm wood interior, cozy white table cloth tables or booths, high end bar drinks, and classy servers in their white or black attire are waiting to serve you. There plenty of tables and booths to seat a plentiful of patrons. And if you need a little bit more private, you can request a private room depending how many are in the party. 4.5 Stars - Service: our server, Andrew was wonderful, professional and has a great sense of humor. We bantered throughout our dinner but the conversation never crossed over to make anyone uncomfortable. He was observant of our needs and when to bring our next course. Our glasses stayed full with our beverage. 4.25 Stars - Food We ordered from the dinner menu instead of lunch due to our timing at 3:00. Let's just call it "Linner". Haha. 4 Stars - Grilled Swordfish- My wife ordered the dish and came with a decent size grilled swordfish fish, sauté spinach, creamed mash potatoes, and a beurre blanc sauce (lemon, butter and dry white wine). The swordfish was thick and moist; not dry at all. The beurre blanc balanced the bland spinach and the seasoned swordfish. The creamed potatoes were creamy, buttery's and not too salty. 3.75 Stars - Pan seared Redfish with cube fried potatoes, sauté green beans, beurre blanc sauce and top w a Chilean tomato salsa. The redfish was moist and tasty but I wish it had a little bit seared on it for a crunchy factor. The cubed potatoes were good but nothing to write about. The fresh sauté green beans could have a bit more garlic butter. 3.5 Stars Side dish: Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts. Hot, steamy and fresh. Has a slight crunch on the exterior leaves and was seasoned w a sprinkle of salt. 3.75 Dessert: Crème Brûlée and coffee. The crème brûlée crust was crunchy and the vanilla egg custard was good and smooth. It would have been better was a scoop of fresh whipped cream to go with the fresh fruit and crunchy layer. 5 Stars - French pressed Italian coffee. The coffee was a highlight of the dessert. It was hot, fresh, and strong. Just like an Italian coffee should be. It was between an espresso and caffe' Americano. Our, server, Andrew did a wonderful job on the coffee! I definitely recommend this place and we will be back. Don't forget to ask for Andrew, if he is available.
