Quick, sit-down lunch; moderately priced. I noticed they have a drive-thru as well. I had the Old South and it was quite good. It's approximately a large scooper-full, maybe a little more, with a dill pickle spear and I also had a side salad (strawberry salad is what she called it- it had strawberry slices and apple chunks with feta (I think it was feta... might possibly have been goat-cheese crumbles and chopped pecans). I chose the poppy seed dressing which was interesting and quite good. They also have an open cooler front with larger portions pre-made that can be purchased as you pass to the register. Let me give you the run down, because I believe chicken salad is a delicacy around here, and I was excited to try this in my home area after seeing the place during my travels. The atmosphere is cute and dainty. Like grandma's little country diner. The ordering process was no hassle. I watched a small line form behind me. Even with people tasting, there really was no major waiting. I ordered two samplers (Posted pics) and during my twenty minute ride home, they stayed cool, nicely scooped and no runny mess. Nice portions. I ate two of the three scoops and was full. The crackers are a good accompaniment. The pickle wasn't so special. The idea if the little cake is good, but poor execution there. The sweetness is desired, but it tastes like a sugary piece of balled up Bunny bread. Now... the chicken salad: the best one was the Olivia's Old South. The traditional flavor was blended perfectly. Chopped in perfect little bits. I think that's what's special about their chicken salad is the way it's blended. I didn't get that blended feel in the Fruity Fran, whose ingredients is how I usually make my own. I liked the other flavors as well, and would eat them again, however, I would stick to buying off the traditional and savory side of the menu. I deducted a star because there's a place that sells "Old Southern" chicken salad and Pimiento that is in the same area. It's way better, but more expensive. My husband & I visited this location for our first time at Chicken Salad Chick Nov 5, 2019. We were not impressed. I had the Fancy Nancy sandwich. It was supposed to be made with grapes, apples, pecans on toasted bread. No, it was awful. These were so small and few, you couldn't see or taste them. The bread might have been toasted earlier in the day, but it had been just taken out of the refrigerator, cold and chewy; not toasty and crunchy. My husband ate the original toasted sandwich. It's very inviting and makes you actually want to have a seat and eat your meal. I laughed at the restroom names, the female restroom is called "Chicks" and male restroom is called "Chick Magnet." If you can't make up your mind on what type of chicken salad you want they will give a sample to help you make a decision. During my first visit I got Chicken Salad BLT on wheat. Which is basically your choice of chicken salad on wheat bread with tomato and lettuce, a pickle, a side and a tasty cookie. I chose the Sassy Scotty Chicken salad, it has a blend of ranch, bacon and shredded cheese in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pasta salad was very flavorful also which is what I chose for my side. I've been back on a surprisingly cool weather day and got a bowl of potato soup, it was only $5 and was very good with plenty of bacon in it. Customer Service is A1. This place has many choices available. The menu is kind of confusing but the staff is eager to help you learn. I have had several flavors of the chicken salad scoops - Olivia's Old South, Sassy Scotty, Cranberry Kelli (love the almonds!) and these are all fantastic! But my favorite is Lauren's Lemon Basil. Very strong basil flavor, which I love! The restaurant can get crowded, which is a clue to how yummy it is. I really wish they would purchase the empty space next door to expand. I think they should think about adding a "chunky style" option to their chicken salad menu. The staff is mostly students from the local high schools and they are friendly and courteous.
