For our entrees, my husband ordered the grilled tacos, my eight-year-old ordered a cheese pizza from the kids' menu, and I ordered the Jambalaya Pasta without shrimp. Now, let me preface this by saying that I am NOT someone who likes to send food back to the kitchen once it's been brought to the table. I usually just try to make the best of it, and that's exactly what I did today. I've been craving a really good pasta dish, so when I saw the Jambalaya Pasta on the menu, I decided to give it a try. I believe it's a newer menu item, but what came out was basically Jambalaya Pasta SOUP! I'm not exaggerating. The sauce was so thin and watery that the pasta was practically swimming in it. I expected a flavorful, creamy pasta dish, but this was nowhere near that. I spent most of the meal picking around my plate, trying to find something worth eating. It was extremely disappointing, especially considering how much I had been looking forward to a good pasta dish. And then there was my son's pizza. When they brought it to the table, my eight-year-old looked at it and asked, "Mommy, what is that?" And honestly, I couldn't blame him! I've attached pictures because I don't even know how to describe what they served him. It certainly wasn't what we expected when ordering a simple cheese pizza from the kids' menu. If an eight-year-old is questioning what you've put in front of him, that should tell you something. My husband was the only one who seemed to enjoy his entree. He said his grilled tacos were pretty decent and didn't have any complaints. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that we're locals and have visited Georgia Blue plenty of times. This isn't our first visit, and we've enjoyed meals here before. We weren't trying somewhere new or taking a chance on a restaurant we'd never been to. We came expecting the quality we've experienced in the past. I understand that every restaurant can have an off day, but today was a pretty big miss for us. It's frustrating to spend money treating your family to lunch only to leave feeling like you would have been better off eating at home. Again, the staff was wonderful, and I don't want that to get lost in this review. Unfortunately, great service can only do so much when the food doesn't deliver. As much as we've enjoyed Georgia Blue in the past, I think we'll be taking a break from visiting for a while. Hopefully, the kitchen can get back to the quality that made us regular customers in the first place.

The pita was pretty mediocre - the falafel and meat were both a bit dried out, and the pita and sauce left something to be desired. Other people at the meal also were a bit disappointed with their meals and said it wasn't as good as they had remembered so its totally possible we hit them at an off time. If I am ever in the area, I'd be willing to give it another try but I won't be requesting it.
