Smoothie

These are the best smoothies in Jackson!!!! I will come here over Smoothie King any day. You create your own smoothies. The owner and other worker are nice guys and will take care of you. If I lived closer I would come here weekly!

Extremely rude "team member" at self checkout. A coupon for 50% off says clearly, " discount…read morerequires Team member assistance." After hitting the assistance button, the young woman came over, looked around confused, scanned the screen and acted like she didn't know what was happening. So I said "I have that item with coupon, it says team member assistance required". I wasant in a hurry, I wasnt annoyed, I just quietly spoke. She turned to me, quite rudely, and said" well have you scanned it?" Now im the confused one. I said , "Well not yet, it says 'requires teams member assistance for discount". She huffed, and in a VERY mean way said: "well that's just common sense". I didn't respond to her unkind remark ( Im a senior citizen, recovering from a long illness, it was hard enough to get out to the store...what if I actually were mentally challenged? is that the way Whole Foods teaches their members to reply to older customers who need assistance?" I dd report this to the manager, but I can assure you nothing will happen. I know they record everything, and I hope they review the video if this. Its not the first time Ive had unpleasant behavior towards me at this store. A couple of months ago i was told at the regular checkout that I had to pack my own groceries, because i brought my own bags...? I was embarrased at holding up the line. The next time, I began packing my groceries and an employee said "Ill do that for you" I told her the story about what had happened the last time I was there, and she said "oh im sorry, that never should have happened" So, whats with the other checkout person? Is it because Im older? Clearly there is a problem with customer relations here and proper actions at checkout. Just be warned: If you are a senior citizen, the employees at Wholefoods Jackson will likely NOT be helpful, but could actually be downright mean.

Tropical smoothie is a welcome healthier option to this Pearl area *if* you order correctly. Like…read moreother smoothie chains, they automatically add turbinado sugar to a smoothie unless you request they do not. Keep the sugar and your kale smoothie will top 80g of sugar which is more than a fast food milkshake. So, be cautious when ordering if looking for a healthy option. My go to order is the detox island green smoothie (kale, spinach, pineapple, ginger, etc). I have ordered the hummus veggie wrap and was delightfully surprised at how tasty and filling. Most of their sandwiches/wraps/flatbreads are grilled to finish, and if you get lettuce and tomato on your meal, it definitely wilts. If that isn't your jam, do like me and order it without lettuce. They're located in a gas station and can easily be missed. Surprisingly popular during lunch hour, so I make sure to use the app and order ahead so I don't have to wait. Happy hour in the morning means 50% off smoothies. At lunch, I'll get the sandwich and smoothie combo, and just save half of the sandwich for the next day, as a smoothie is only $3 to add to any sandwich meal. Recommend!

I really enjoyed coming to this location after moving away from Flowood because it was convenient…read morefor me. Initially, my smoothies were good. I wouldn't say perfect, but the customer service was nice, the flavor was good, and I could always feel the supplementsI I paid for, specifically the caffeine (energizer) and multivitamin, were having their intended effects. Unfortunately, after one particularly overwhelming visit, the quality and consistency of my orders seemed to decline. My smoothies were frequently overfilled, had a terrible aftertaste similar to concentrated Red Bull, and often came without the add-ins I selected to be added in. I could always feel the effects of the supplements I paid for, and other times I couldn't. The apples also frequently came unwrapped and were sometimes too soft grainy. I overlooked these issues because I was usually on the go and didn't want to spend extra time addressing them. I placed an order online. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told that most of the ingredients for my smoothie were unavailable. I received no phone call, and the app gave me no indication that there was a problem. As a result, my order had not been made, and I was left scrambling to choose something else while trying not to be late for work. I cannot eat bananas, which limits the smoothies I can order, making the situation even more frustrating. I recognize that I was upset during that interaction and that my tone may have come across as rude. I take responsibility for that. In fact, when I returned today, I was prepared to apologize to the employee I had spoken to that way. Today, my smoothie was blended okay, it looked pretty and it didn't taste like they had forgotten the mango. I was like wow, and it made me happy. However, as I drank it, I noticed that I wasn't experiencing the effects of the caffeine supplement I had paid for. When I brought this to the staff's attention, the employee at the register repeatedly told me that caffeine has no taste and that she had never heard of anyone being able to taste it. I clarified that I wasn't talking about the flavor of caffeine itself; I was talking about not experiencing its effects. I did not feel the effects of the multivitamin either, but was at this time solely focused on the caffeine because I needed it. What frustrated me most was not simply the possibility that a supplement had been missed, but the way my concern was handled. I felt as though the staff were talking down to me rather than trying to understand what I was explaining. I directed my questions to the employee who appeared to have made my drink, but he repeatedly looked to the employee at the register instead of addressing me directly. Eventually, both employees walked away without offering a solution. I wasn't asking for an entirely new smoothie. I simply wanted someone to acknowledge my concern and offer to add the missing ingredient and blend what was left in my cup. I was in a hurry and needed the caffeine I had paid for. A simple attempt to resolve the issue would have made a difference. After the repeated inconsistencies with my orders and the customer service I experienced today, I will no longer be visiting this location. I was willing to acknowledge my own behavior and apologize for my tone during a previous interaction, but today's experience changed my mind. Regardless of a customer's attitude, concerns should be handled professionally and respectfully. I understand that mistakes happen, but how employees respond when a customer raises a concern matters just as much as the quality of the product.
