The specialty drinks are named in honor of musicians as well. Matcha isn't listed on the menu (unless I just missed it), but they do have it and I love that it's not pre-sweetened like a lot of the coffee shops are doing. In addition to coffee and tea they have frappes, smoothies, seasonal drinks, breakfast/lunch sandwiches, oatmeal, etc. Ambiance - It's a lot of natural light. Good place to grab a drink while you study or work. I didn't pick up the jazz theme initially (just aesthetically/vibe), but thought it was pretty cool once I did.

I also saw covered outdoor seating. In fact, there were multiple options for seating. I especially admired the design-flow which allowed the customer line to be separated from the seating areas so that the customers don't have to be in the way of those that are seated. The shop is bright and bright the element of outdoors into the interior in a subtle way with its plants and large windows. I'm such a sucker for pleasant greetings and warm hospitality! "You had me at 'Hello! How are you?'" The world could certainly use more kindness and genuine southern hospitality. Now, here's what really wowed the coffee enthusiast/hobbyist in me! Espresso shots were being pulled meticulously with attention to detail, including the use of a scale, which provides for consistency! The flavorings/syrups were not pumped haphazardly from the familiar brand-name syrup bottles. Rather, for my latte, an in-house syrup was carefully measured for the perfect taste! My delicious, honey-cinnamon latte was made with care, attention to detail, quality ingredients, and finesse! Loved it! If I'm ever in Jackson, this will definitely be my go-to spot!

All I wanted was a black coffee...nothing special. There was no one else in front of me and no one behind the counter seemed to care about pouring me a simple black small coffee. I saw Z Lewis (the best that I could understand what she said her name was) place my cup under the coffee machine and never poured it. I waited and waited (I was in there 10 minutes)...I ask the cashier if they were having to brew the coffee, and she said no that it was ready. But, no one pouring. "Z" said: "I'm about to pour it" and when I said that would be nice with a roll of my eyes (a well deserved roll of my eyes), she said: "I don't have to serve you." How about that for customer service...Starbucks needs to send in under cover customers and see how this location is operated. Looking at the menu, I saw what they called the Peanut Butter Mountain and being somewhat obsessed with ice cream and peanut butter, I went with this option. The Peanut Butter Mountain is vanilla custard, Reese's peanut butter cups, peanut butter sauce, and hot fudge. Let me say that this turned out to be an amazing choice and the price was definitely more than fair. A large version of this was under eight dollars. As I said, it is more than fair in terms of pricing and again, this was definitely an amazing dessert. Bop's Frozen Custard is a wonderful choice for a frozen treat and I would definitely recommend this establishment.
