The photo is of my take out lunch today. I ordered a California Club, which comes with chips. The size is great for me. As you can see, it is about the size of the small bag of chips. The temperature was hot - not piping hot but hot enough. (It was about 5 minutes before I unwrapped it.) There is a lot of dressing on this pita sandwich, so be sure to eat it over something because it will drip. This restaurant has always been clean when I go. I've been her a half dozen times. It was like walking into a nightclub with the most obnoxious music blasting so loud we could not even hear the girl taking our order. This is a difficult place to review. I would like to say I would give 3 1/2 stars, but not 4. I have been here 3 times now. Each time I have gone through the drive thru. I have never actually been inside so I cannot speak about how that experience differs from the drive thru. Twice I have gone just for a smoothie and the third time I ordered a smoothie and a chicken sandwich of some sort (it was not for me). The smoothies are amazingly delicious. I really love the blueberry one the most. It is very flavorful yet not full of added juice or sugar to be too sweet. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and said it was delicious but not filling. My biggest gripe about this place is the amount of time it takes to get anything. I have never sat in the drive thru line for less than 10 minutes. When we were in line with the sandwich, it took almost 15. Even if there is no one in front of you, it still takes this long. A smoothie does not take that long to make. I have also never seen more than one person through the window so I have always wondered if this is the only person working. The drive thru person disappears and reappears with your order 10 minutes later. If this is the case, I feel bad for the poor person working there by themselves. The time it takes to get an order deters me from returning. I have only gone because I didn't want to drive further to find another smoothie place and wanted to allow my husband to try it once. I ordered a health nut smoothie. Blueberries, mango, banana and sliced almonds I got the pea protein which is included. When I was paying for my smoothie a young gal rang up $7.00. I asked her why the menu said $5.99 and she said they raised their prices The Smoothie was very thick and very sweet. I asked her what the sweetener was and she said some type of sugar. Then I asked her if they used Organic fruit and she said No. Mistake on my part. So the owner needs to change the menu prices and not overcharge customers. My wife and me have been regular customers of this place since they opened, almost a year if I recollect. For us it has been a blessing as we were both looking for healthier lifestyle options around the area. The service and quality have both been superb and I vouch being here at least 50 times till now. We alternate between Jamba and Tropical smoothie cafe as Tropical does not make fresh juices. For a family of 3 our bill at Jamba is around 20 in comparison we get 3 smoothies for 11 bucks at Tropical in their Happy Hour..... that is a big difference and anyone reading this knows that healthier food options are not cheap today. Honestly, I love Tropical Smoothie. But the last 3 times I have been to this location, the staff have been so unprofessional and rude each time. Micayla took my order all 3 times, and was rude and short during the interactions. Then when I asked to speak to a manager the girl making my smoothie said "Do you want me to make your smoothie first or get a manager?" I mean, get a manager because it's important.
