Staff spoke to me on the phone about the promo they had going on and I went in later that day and they told me the promo was done at noon and no one could make what I had came to order? So they gave me something out of the fridge that they said was made in the morning that I could have...quite rudely though. They definitely also didn't make it seem appetizing so was kind of hard to enjoy. Not sure what I did to deserve that attitude from her. I love the mango kale. Lots of the recipes are good but I definitely have my safe go to's. They're a little expensive but service is usually pretty good and the smoothies are what I need. This was my first time at a Smoothie King. I came in to see what they had. First, let me say that the menu is extensive. They also have vegetarian options. I wanted to create something that wasn't on the menu, and the staff was very friendly and answered all my questions, and even made recommendations. Sounds normal enough. This place is trash because the attitude of the workers. I usually tip and I don't know why anymore so it can't be that I don't tip. The last two times I visited with my partner some female worker took shots at me using words like: " you're back and your brought your dog" and "ew" She directed her comments at my partner and ignored me even when I was the one paying and tipping. Wanted to try Smoothie King for the first time and Upon walking in I wasn't greeted with a hello or anything at all. Two individuals stood up from sitting down, finished their conversation and asked me "what can I get you". I was completely taken back by being greeted like that but I mentioned I have never been in before and was looking for something with plant-based protein (it's a quite extensive menu) and they both stared at me with no suggestion or help at all. I quickly picked out the vegan coffee protein and was just met with "what size" . I told them I changed my mind and walked out. I've been enjoying my occasional keto-friendly drink at Smoothie King. I usually opt for the 32oz Keto Berry smoothie. Most visits have been positive. However, my most recent one was not good. The drink not only lacked the usual good flavor that I've come to expect but it also had a very unpleasant surprise inside. There was a piece of plastic in my smoothie that I sucked up through the straw. It was apparently a piece of a plastic from one of their ingredient bags. I hope that a representative of Smoothie King sees this post and follows up with this location (et al) to ensure that their employees are reminded to practice safe protocol when opening packaging etc. This could have been more serious than just some unpleasant coughing and loosing a few bucks on a drink. I normally enjoy going to Smoothie King but must admit I'll be apprehensive on any future visits. I really don't want to use a strainer for my drinks. Three stars given - would have been five stars but one is removed for the unfriendly service I've witnessed given to customers at this location and the other is for having to cough up plastic. I must admit that out of seven drinks purchased on this visit, only one had plastic debris. But I'm sure the powers that be at Smoothie King agree with me that it's one too many. read more

I'm not sure why the reviews tend to be so low. Everytime I have come into this location I have had a great experience. The staff is always friendly and my smoothie comes out quick and delicious. They have a pretty large selection of smoothies. My only complaint is that they use a lot of juices instead of fresh fruit. I would rather have less sugar. Everything I have tried has been amazing. They are also pretty flexible when you want to change something in the ingredients. I suggest you check it out yourself and make your own opinion. read more

I love this smoothie place! It's pretty fast and you can order through the app. I just downloaded the app, so I'm not sure what kind of incentives they give. I am hoping to update this review if they give good incentives. Other than that, they do give fresh ingredients. I just wish they didn't use the styrofoam for the environment. I went to Smoothie King on South Val Vista Dr at 8:15 on Jan 13th. There were a few customers receiving orders, and I was greeted with a hi. The workers then proceeded to stand there, breaking down the smoothing equipment, washing dishes with their backs to me, and sneaking glances. Repeatedly looking over, whispering and giggling. They ignored my attempt to order for nearly 10mins. At that point, based on the way they were sneering, I'm not sure something wouldn't have been done to my smoothie if they finally took my order, so I walked out and they just stared at me. I'm a large guy trying to eat healthy and make a change for the better, and that situation was really disheartening and discouraging. I understand that it was near closing at 9 pm, but if that's the reason for the cold shoulder, they could have explained that instead of ignoring a customer. read more

I don't know any of your names yet but I will get there! This establishment is always good to walk into. I don't go anywhere for a smoothie. Super clean, always smells like berries, always smiles behind the counter & they insisted on me downloading the rewards app my second time in because they remembered me from a few days prior. One of the girls always asked me how I'm doing and that makes a place for a great experience. With every time I have came in I usually only get 1 or 2 smoothies (if my girl wants one) lol and I get them within like 2-3 minutes after ordering and the taste is consistent. LOVE SMOOTHIE KING. I lived in Louisiana for a few years where it was started, and became obsessed with it! Therefore I was so happy to move back to AZ and find this location in Mesa! My all time favorite is the Green Tea Tango with blueberries. Their Slim n Trim Vanilla with orange instead of banana is also amazing. I came here half an hour before closing and the girls working whipped up 6 smoothies for my friends and I so fast and they were all perfect. Can't wait to come back! read more

In my opinion, I really had high hopes for this place. When I came, the employee making my drink has an open cut with blood and didn't do anything about it. After another customer complained, they finally did something about it. The menu was huge and I needed help navigating it. I explained what I normally get other places (low carb high protein low cal shake in a butterfinger flavor). He said he had a chocolate peanut butter flavor that was close to 1120 calories. Whoa!!!!! They are only $5 for a 32 Oz on Fridays, and if you ask politely, they will gladly give you a coupon for similar prices the rest of the days. The music is great and the service is fun as well! Pamela below was an entitled and rude customer who only ordered 1 drink, not 2, and then demanded a second. She was VERY rude to the employ who helped her and did everything she could. She even refused to show her receipt to prove she paid for 2 smoothies. The employ even gave a fake name out of fear of this unreasonable customer.
