I went for a nice treat last Saturday and the nicest young girl was working. I was a little hungry and she guided me through the menu and convinced me on the açaí bowl. I was surprised with her service and had to ask for her name, which is kennedy. Overall clean store and good service read more

I was so excited to come across Bahama Buck's while visiting AZ with my youngest, not having been there since my ASU days. Lots of new flavors, but the old staples were there, including the Tropic Crème. Sadly, the center of our orders were only shave ice, no flavoring, and the bottom 2 inches, or 1/3 of the cup, also did not have flavoring. The Drinks were amazing! I got a Dr.Pepper Paradise. Its so good! The size is huge! I got a regular and it was 32 oz. Pup cups are free and huge! The people that worked there were so kind and very quick. If i could i would rate it higher! This is my second time going and loved it both times. read more

You know you have a problem after you sucked down half of your shave ice, suffered through 3 brain freezes, and then realized oh I should have taken a pic. Been to this place a few times. The wait wasn't bad at all. This is a very manual creation. Compared to the amount of time I've waited in Hawaii...this place is down right fast! My eyes are always bigger than my stomach...I keep going down a size of cup and still struggle to finish. Today was a regular and I think this may be the Goldie Locks size. So just right! Had passion fruit, mango, and pink lemonade with ice cream in the middle. Perfect! This place is the spot especially when it's 110 degrees outside. The restaurant is made for hanging out. I went here last night and it was great as always! This isn't the normal Bahama Buck's I go to but I happened to be in the area and craving a treat. The staff was friendly and got my order out quickly with a smile on their faces, the only note I have about this place is that there was a very strong chemically order in the building but I understand that that is not the businesses fault. The flavors were lacking and watery and had no taste. Ice at the bottom. No soap in the bathroom won't be going back.

If I could give less stars, I would. There was an extremely foul odor inside and out the store. We assumed the odor outside was from sewer lines nearby (which would be out of the store's control) but when we walked inside, there was a different type of odor that did not go away. Someone with us started experiencing a stomachache because of these odors. To make things worse, I ordered a Bahama Colada smoothie and it was very bland. I do not recommend going to this location. I can't believe I've never written a review of this place. Though I do not consume the products here because of the high sugar content, my husband, son and daughter do. In fact, I was going here so much, I've gotten to know Savannah - the very best employee here - and whenever she's there and I pull up to order, she recognizes my voice and I her, and all I have to say, "A large G's special" or the normal and she knows. That's so fantastic. My husband has cut down on his sugar consumption and I'm working a lot which does not enable me to come here as often. But whenever I do and she's there, I just love coming here. Everyone else is great as well, when I come through. I still have a lot of Rewards from when they had the punch cards left to use and gift cards, so it'll take awhile at the rate we're going. Great place when it's super hot outside. Lots of choice. Hard to read the menu through the drive-through. I've never been inside the menu selection is infinity of flavor choices ! The worst shaved ice I've ever had!! This location has always been notorious for not enough syrup. I should have known better than to go to this location again. Never go to this location if you're going through drive through. You leave and realize you don't enough syrup in your shaved ice and you just spent $6.35 for a cup of ice. This review can easily go to five stars ; the Hawaiian shaved ice served here is great - when you get it. Eventually. After a very, very, very long wait. Went it with one other person on a Saturday night. There were about 7 families in front of me. 45 minute wait. The teenagers running the show are so, so incredibly slow. Their personal conversations are so loud that I can tell you exactly who is going to ask whom to the next dance and why they hate their dad. My very nice date night took a downward turn after my husband was fed up with standing nearly an hour watching the process and we had babysitter's at home to get back to. I thought it may have been a freak occurance so I came back on a Monday around 1 pm. It was completely empty save my party of 5 and another family of 3....35 minutes later, I was finally able to get my shaved ice. I have tried the drive through and that was more timely so that is a good option but I don't want to the dyes being spilled all over my car so it's not a long term solution. My kids love it and it is a bummer because we pass it three days a week but I am way too busy to wait nearly an hour for a cup of ice with flavoring. I met the owner and he is a really nice guy but I can't imagine how many people are patient enough to keep returning. Update: Was contacted by the owner of this Bahama Bucks. He was very concerned that my guest and I had a bad experience and was determined to make it right. Was open to any suggestions and was very refreshing to speak with. I wish I could give a better rating than my last review a while back, but unfortunately my order still is incorrect from time to time, and/or my order is poorly made. I ordered an Avalanche size with blue raspberry and Coke, and it ended up being Cherry Coke instead, and the bottom 1/3 hardly had any flavoring. No prob taking the wrong flavor, but I went back when I got a little over halfway and there was nothing but white sno in the bottom...so they just dumped a bunch of flavoring in it to make a soup of it at the bottom. Happy Hour Special During the time we were in- Half Price Soda ONLY from 2-5 PM We decided to try the "Baby Size" Root Beer Float Shaved Ice called Sno (their spelling) super light & creamy, so good... At Least 3 pleasant employees on staff to accommodate the many customers. A plus- they also have a drive thru. Theme inside the shop is Sea and Surf. Hanging above the Windows are Straw Canapés with Lights surrounding all the outer tables inside the dining room. Nice atmosphere. You can grab a board game to play as you seat and enjoy your sweet treat. They have a ring toss game outdoors on the patio. Fun!! Drive thru service was great! Went on a late Friday evening and of course they were busy. We opted for the drive run since our puppy came along with us. We ordered one small mixed tigers blood with blue raspberry and topped it off with the powder (don't know how to spell it, hehe) and some tropic creme. Best flavors yet! The combination was great! We waited a few minutes but the line constantly moved. We got to the window and the cashier was friendly. They were fascinated by my puppy and they even gave him a Pupcup! Pupcup: baby sized snowball with whip cream and sprinkles on top, awwwwww. It was so cute. We were in and out and the girls were friendly. Sadly disappointed in myself, our order, and this establishment. First of all, I was shocked that NO ONE, NOT ONE employee was wearing a mask. I just proceeded to pick up my order when I should have refused, requested a refund, and/or driven away - cutting my losses to prevent possible infection. But I didn't. I come to this location all the time so I contemplated if I should write this review or not, but after being disappointed with my whole families shaved ice I decided I should let the management know. I've never had a problem with my shaved ice but today it looked like they were made by a 5 year old. An ugly appearance is okay I guess as long as it's properly flavored, however it was definitely not. It doesn't even seem as if they even packed the snow like they usually do. I think this place is expensive but the kids like it. Make sure to add ice cream and condensed milk to your order.
