Taking over the same storefront as the former Amish Deli (home of "Bowling Green's Biggest, Baddest BLT"), I had high hopes which were only buoyed by the enthusiastic welcome I received from the smiling staff as I entered the establishment. The nice lady at the order counter apologized and said the grill was having issues during their soft opening, but that did not matter to me, as I already had my eyes on trying one of the 2-dog combos. After quickly reviewing my options, I ordered the Sterling dogs with a side of coleslaw, plus a fountain Coke. Before tax, the total came to $9.98, which was pretty reasonable for lunch downtown. As I made my way to one of the booths, I cast my eye around the dining room, and frankly, I liked what I saw! The new laminate floor looked great, as did the brand new -and spotlessly clean- tables, chairs, and booths. The decorations and wall hangings were tasteful and un-cluttered, and I especially liked how the blue light horse silhouette (visible on far-right side of my dining room photo) conveyed a sense of good-Amish-food-meets-21st-century. After a pleasantly short wait, my order was delivered to my booth. The all-beef dogs were garnished with crispy-cooked bacon, red pepper relish, and shredded cheddar cheese. As you can see in my food photo, they looked great, and tasted even better! The side of coleslaw was also very good, which kind of surprised me, as I expected it to be overpowered by the clearly visible chunks of red onion, but the flavours melded together perfectly. I also liked how the staff stopped by my table to ask how the food was, and how speedy and friendly they were any time I took my fountain cup up to the counter for a refill. PROS: very good food, very friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a good atmosphere CONS: for a soft opening, I felt they were great, as I had zero issues! Overall I rate Sterling's Amish Deli as being Very Good, and look forward to returning!

This shop shares a building with two other businesses (a Pita Pit and a Subway). The city parking lot in the back is very convenient. There is both indoor and outdoor seating at this restaurant. During our visit on a Sunday evening, it was not busy and everyone was sitting inside. The dining room was perhaps a bit dark but was spacious and comfortable. Social distancing was no problem. Our server did a great job taking care of us. Pizza was unquestionably the feature of the menu. We chose the Greek Pizza. This featured pesto sauce, grilled chicken strips, bacon bits, tomato slices, red onions, Kalamata olives and a three-cheese blend topped with Feta. This was presented with a toasty brown top. The pizza featured an excellent taste, but was very rich. We ordered the eight-slice size and brought five pieces home. The cost was not cheap on the surface. The pizza was $23 USD. With drinks, tax and tip, our final bill was $33. At $16.50 per person, this was not a bad deal, especially if it is considered that there were two additional meals worth of pizza brought home. I would not hesitate to recommend this place if someone wanted pizza in Bowling Green.
