I have been there twice and won't be going back. Both times the person serving had a shirt on that was covered with food. Absolutely! The quality for the price is not good. The ice cream cones taste like onions. I went back to give the benefit of the doubt from the first time and the second time was even worse. I like to support local but this is one I can't. read more

This was my first time here. There were a lot of really good sounding choices, but I went with their (Disney's) Frozen sundae. It was a very pretty sundae with the sparkling sugar, and the ice cream was blue raspberry with marshmallow cream. It was pretty good. Hannah's Soft Serve is hands down my favorite ice cream spot in Toledo. Their ice cream is super creamy and they always have fun sundaes, bubble tea, and new Dole Whip flavors to try. The staff is really friendly and quick. The place is always clean and they are the only ice cream shop around that actually wears gloves when prepping food. We have been to their sister location Penguin Palace a few times and have always enjoyed it. Hannah's happens to be closer to our side of town so we decided to check it out. Service was really friendly and quick. The place looked clean and well kept up, which is always nice to see. The ice cream was amazing. We wanted the Dole Whip of the week and they had it. I've had a bad experience with who I assume Is a shift manager because she is there frequently. Very preppy while taking orders, but its as if soon as she saw that I was black, she moves away from the window. A friend of mine who also comes here said she notices that when she comes to the window, she has a black employee hand the food out. No bad complaints about the food itself, thou. I visited Hannah's Soft Serve when it was getting dark out and it was a comfortable time. It was empty yet clean, the worker who had assisted me was relaxed and easy to talk to, and the drink itself was pretty alright. At least worth my money for it ($5.80). I only had one of their many delicacies but it is easy to see why this place has high reviews. Only isn't a 5 until I try out their other stuff and gauge that. ALSO, please list a full menu online! I was happy to see them open and have gone there many times. Depending on what I get determines how happy I am. When it comes getting just ice cream like in a cone, they are fine. If I get a sunday it could be different. If that Sunday uses nuts ( I love nuts ) it is a different story. They seem to be using raw nuts not roasted nuts and this makes a difference. On a Tin Roof they use raw peanuts and they really load them in. Even when I ask for less, it is not good because the favor and texture of the raw peanuts is not pleasing. It is the same thing with their Turtle. They load it with raw peacans and the favor and texture is off as well. Roasted nuts are far better and if they were used more as a garnish instead of a feature it would be better. As it is if I want a cone or something without nuts they are great but raw nuts are not apealing. The staff is excelant. read more

Since Hannah's has opened it has been a rollercoaster of experiences. They are slow, on a good day - even worse on a bad day. The biggest issue as of recent was what happened today. We ordered malts on Friday, April 18 and again today, April 19. On Friday, we ordered 1 small malt and 2 large malts. All was good. Today, we ordered 1 small and 1 medium. The small was tiny and not the same size as the small malt yesterday. The medium, a chocolate peanut butter malt, was inedible. Something had gone bad with the ingredients. I took it back, the girl who I spoke to laughed and laughed and laughed that it was so funny that the malt was bad. They remade it and again it was awful. I said to the girl it must be something that has gone bad. Her response was "Well I haven't tried it I wouldn't know." I informed her again there has to be an ingredient that has gone bad. She response was "well this is how I would make it for any customer." I again repeated something was wrong, and her response was again "I wouldn't know I didn't try it, but this is how I'd make it for anyone. This is what you wanted." She also asked me if I've ever ordered this before, to which I told her I had this just yesterday. She continued to not care that there was a bad ingredient. In this mix, I questioned the size discrepancies and she informed me that they aren't told a size, you get the size you get based on who makes it. That's an absolute horrendous response. I often get malts at Hannah's and will never ever go back. This was that horrible. The replacement malt, vanilla, was perfectly fine. The owner responded saying they had reviewed the footage and they did nothing wrong and that nothing they would say or do would make the situation better for me, in their opinion. They back the shitty antics of their employees and the fact that they served rancid products. They issued a refund for the entire order but refuse to acknowledge they actually looked into bad products. Will never go back as this is the topping on the cake of Hannah's. read more

The place looks new and updated the signs and board. However for the price and the amount of icecream was disappointing. We got two Sundays and a pup Cup and it was $20. Where any other ice cream shop in town you'd expect to spend half of that. Also for the extra money you'd expect better icecream no it was mediocre at best. The toppings on the Sundays were really underwhelming for the price. Otherwise the workers were nice. But I will not be returning read more
