Love me some Tropical Smoothie! We did the drive-thru and the wait was a bit longer than expected, but our order was good. It's in a busy area off Overland Rd, so there was quite a bit of traffic when we stopped. read more

Very slow service. I'm first in line waiting and when somoen comes to the 2nd cashier box they take thrle person behind me because they are standing in front of that register. It's been a while since I've been at a tropical Smoothie, not sure if it's how this one tools or they all changed policy in substitutions. But where previously there was no charge to substitute now they charge a $1 per substitution (not adding, just substituting). Which would be disappointing but I can accept it if they tell you there is a charge. I should have been paying more attention to what it costs and the amount they told me and not wait till I see the receipt. read more

This place used to be so good! The last few times have been disappointing. Stopped by last week to get a Turkey Bacon Sandwich and this is what I ended up with after waiting 20 min in line. A sandwich missing the bacon and tomatoes and looked like it was tossed up. The turkey that is only a slice looked microwaved and old, the sandwich looked so unappetizing. This was $11!! I turned around to get a refund after driving half way home already and opening my bag of chips, the girl still had the audacity to not refund my chips after I wasted my time and gas. You would think for the inconvenience she would have left The bag of chips at-least for a courtesy. Super disappointing. read more

when I first got there the line was very long in the drive through so I went inside. I started ordering and I said a plain cheese quesadilla WITH salsa. They are already supposed to give salsa but they are forgetful sometimes so I make sure to remind them. I also order a pomegrante plunge without strawberries and bananas and come time to make my smoothie they have a girl walk over saying they are unable to make it. I have had this smoothie multiple times in multiple different locations so I was confused and asked if they could make it anyways. we were inside waiting for almost 30 minutes. I open my quesadilla to a chicken quesadilla with no salsa. I am very unimpressed. read more

I don't mind waiting in the drive thru when it's busy but I don't like when the workers accuse the customers for making the wrong order over the intercom. Not how any business should handle their customers. read more

I love the smoothies and food! Their service can be very slow though. I wouldn't want to wait in the drive through...

Well this morning is my first time going to this location or any location in Idaho. I used to go when I lived in Las Vegas...8 years ago! I got a T-Mobile coupon and went here. Pulled up to the window and sat for about five minutes making a decision and loading the app. Up. The lady who refused to give her name told me the coupon couldn't be used unless it was Tuesday. I tried to explain asked for a manager she said she was the manager etc. 3 minutes go by and she finally asks for a code and I try to give it to her by the number but she wanted to scan so I pull up to the window. She makes us wait for about five more minutes before scanning the code and says we still owe money because she can only accept one code. When she returned with the drink I asked her name again she said have a nice day and refused to answer us again read more

2 stars for the inefficiency and lack of urgency that the employees portray at this location. We put in an online order at home instead of sitting in the drive up line thinking that the time would be cut in half a bit. Wrong. When I walked in to the shop to pick up, I could hear laughing in the back area but not much happening in the front. It wasn't until I said I was there to pick up that all of a sudden there was a need to get the order moving. I give props for the one girl who finally took initiative, but apologizing for the wait is because y'all were taking forever. The "promised time" was a lie and a really bad idea. I left FIFTEEN MINUTES after waiting inside for my order. read more

Former employee. For a first time job, consider somewhere else. $12.00 + tips*. Management is non-existent and staff are treated like property. Card tips are nice. Evenly split between everyone working through the day. Cash tips on the other hand are used to cover tills. Tills were used by everyone through the day, and would regularly reach $7-$15 low. This would come directly out of cash tips, so you're not really tipping, you're covering a business expense. Most other businesses write this off as an expense, and will investigate if the till is regularly low. Not tropical smoothie. I would only recommend a job here if you can't get a job anywhere else. read more

Smoothies are good, sandwich portion has gotten smaller it seems. It's mainly the service that needs considerable improvement here. The time to receive communication at the drive thru all the way up to receiving the order was 23 minutes for being the third car. Food is great, when made to order. It's a cpnstant coin flip if it will be made correct. Ordering in the drive thru is usually quick. Ordering delivery is a joke. Ordered at 1:28p today. Food was ready for the Door Dash driver to pick up at 2:58. We went through 3 drivers, due to the wait. I hate to say this is common. We try to give it chances and jeep getting reminded. read more

I placed a mobile order and was sitting in the drive thru for the 32 minutes. I was never greeted by someone at the window so I was sitting there waiting with no update on why it was taking so long. Once an employee finally came to the window she shoved a bag of food out the window with an attitude. I replied that that wasn't my order and I had a mobile order pickup. She gave it to me again with an attitude and my smoothie was completely melted. This location repeatedly has this problem. The employees are rude and the service is awful. read more

The drive through should be for picking up orders that are already placed online. They are too slow to be taking orders at the drive thru. I called to ask if someone could bring my order out after not moving in the drive thru line for 10+ minutes and she said 'everyone is like really slammed right now' then hung up. I tried calling back a couple times and they stopped answering the phones. I guess good employees are impossible to come by nowadays. Update: waited in the drive thru for 38 minutes and finally got my order to find out the smoothie was super watery and I barely got half of the sweet potatoes. read more

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. We used the drive through today and they ended up forgetting a wrap. When I called the manager stated they could refund me, or I could have the sandwich remade but I would need to come all the way back in for the wrap. After driving all the way to my house in Kuna. I had even asked the employee who handed me the bag if he was SURE everything was in there. Places don't really have customer service anymore. The "assistant manager" Zoie, was insanely rude when I attempted to talk to her about customer service and how important that is. In addition- they actually deliver ?? Not once did she offer to have someone come to drop it off to me (which would have been the correct measure) Bummer we won't be coming here ever again. read more

This spot is conveniently located right next to my gym, and has been a lifesaver several times during this hot summer. I've only used the drive thru service, which has always been super quick. I like that they just have one size, it makes everything easier and quicker. I'm working my way they the menu, and have only found one flavor, the mocha smoothie, that I didn't like (it's extremely sweet). My go-to's are the protein smoothies, particularly peanut paradise. read more

Update: after seeing the reply from Tropical I did as they asked and submitted information using the link they provided.... No one has reached out or replied to my message, which to be honest I am not surprised, disappointed but not surprised! Went to the drive thru for breakfast today. Got the All American wrap. Drove off, took one bite and the ingredients inside were ice cold! I went back in and told the worker. She definitely seemed put out but did make a new one. The staff inside were less then professional and friendly. This is not the first time I've had issues at this store. Another time I waited at the speaker for more than 10 min before the person offered to take my order. Once I finally got my order it was incorrect and the smoothie was about 1/2 inch from the top - so definitely not what I paid for. I submitted a complaint via their app. Someone emailed me and offered a refund and a free smoothie, which I never received! I really like their smoothies and food but the likelihood that I'll go back is very slim. I am very disappointed. read more

Not worth the price. Prices continue to increase while quality decreases. Even the employees have expressed they don't understand why the price has increased from a reasonable $7 to $10 for a WRAP. Also, if youre in Boise Idaho, the location on Broadway is more expensive than the location on Overland for some reason, so avoid that place if you can. read more

Indigo and I were in search of a pick me up and a green smoothie sounded like just the thing. We've never been here and were impressed immediately by the changing table in the clean bathroom. We ordered after rearranging the chairs (Indigos specialty), followed by more rearranging until we received our smoothies. I got the island green and Indy got the Jetty Jr. I was pleasantly surprised at how they weren't overly sweet. I'll have to ask for no added sugar (if possible) next time because I forgot to this time. The staff were very nice (and young, gosh I feel old right now, next time I'm wearing make up and a cute outfit) and the overall vibe is upbeat with the bright interior and pop music. Great smoothies, not great for feeling young. Indigo gives this place 30 stars for a totally worth it brain freeze! read more

Good food and smoothies here. Food is very tasty and full of flavor. Wraps and quesadillas are great. But the service just is so slow. Inside is still closed at times forcing everyone through an inefficient and massively slow drive through line. I waited 25 minutes in the drive through today for a quesadilla and two smoothies. Had there been an exit (stuck between cars with no lane) I would have left. And this has been the case the last 3 times I've been here over the past couple months. 15-20 min wait for a smoothie and a sandwich is dumb. Would be here so much more if the wait was consistently less but this was probably the last time until they figure out the lack of staffing. read more

Of all the times ive ordered tropical smoothie cafe from door dash or went through the drive through, I'd say i was totally happy 25% of the time. I usually order a quesadilla but the salsa is almost always forgotten. On door dash it specifically asks if you want it, and i always do because its great! My most recent order, i paid extra for bacon to be added to my sons grilled cheese and there wasn't any. As for the smoothies, they are never properly blended. Its really frustrating trying drink a bunch of ice through a straw that wont fit or big pieces of dates. Seems like problems that could be fixed relatively easily. I really want to love this place because it is delicious. read more

Free WiFi: no password needed, easy to access Parking: nearby street or garage (this is in the plaza by CenturyLink arena so foot traffic only in front of the actual store) Service: very nice staff, seemed friendly to everyone entering. Smoothies: Avocolada was delicious, smooth, and sweet. Açaí Berry Boost also delicious, very fresh tasting, seeds from the fruit (which is fine and healthy). Flatbread: Cali chicken club. Very tasty. Better than I thought it would be. A rewards app is available. After $55 spent you get $5 off. Or something to that They have special smoothies in season with fresh fruit (watermelon mojito right now which sounds awesome) Bathrooms are inside and shared with the Dutch brothers coffee shop. Separate ones for men and women. Two stalls in each. I would like to see two sinks for two stalls, but that is a small gripe. The men's room was nice and clean. Tropical Smoothie Cafe--AS GOOD AS IT GETS Reviewer number 5 Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Price for value: 4/5 Bariatrics/Healthy Options: 5/5 Overall stars for this establishment, for me, is 5 and here's why: I am always on the lookout for something tasty and healthy to eat. Those that follow me know that I don't like to go to the same place twice (to eat) unless it's really good. Well, although I like the food, I think that I will stop in here often as my go-to place for a comforting albeit healthy drink! They even have a drive-thru for convenience. Located on the corner of Overland and Maple Grove, I am nearby there often as I frequent Crunch Fitness across the street. TSC is located in a small strip mall with AYCE Sushi, a loan place, and an urgent care center. Parking can be very difficult-- be aware of that. Walking in, space seems to be very large, but really it's just a long hallway and a small kitchen and dining space; however, they make the most of the space. The colors are vibrant, music was a good even tone, and the temperature seemed to be on the cold side to me, which I didn't like, but others may. The options are plenty! There is a nutritional face sheet that is readily available and it tells you how many calories and carbs when you substitute Splenda, which at times raises that calorie content because they are made all natural. There are other options like you can get at other juice places such as protein. They serve food, too! I got a Baja bowl with no rice. It had chicken, black beans, veggies and more. The sauce was a little too spicy for my belly, so I asked for a side of ranch--good ranch! My dining companion got the same thing but in a wrap. The wrap was held together tightly in the tortilla, making it easy to eat. You can get a side with your meal such as baked chips, or fresh fruit (you pick from: apple, orange, or banana. Total for the bowl, the side, and a smoothie was only $9.99 and a smoothie usually is $6 in and of itself at other places. The service was great. The first time I went I got a young lady who made a great suggestion of Detox Island green (200 calories when made with Splenda/180 without--this one is more healthy without Splenda) and I liked it. The second time I visited, I was helped by one of the managers and he was very nice and helpful and helped me understand the process and the menu more. This time I tried Sunrise Sunset (140 calories when made with Splenda, 36 carbs with 7 dietary fiber= 29 net carbs, and a whopping 15g of protein). Well, thanks for reading! I hope you're having a good day whenever you read this!!! Leave a comment and say HI! Would love to know your thoughts on Tropical Smoothie Cafe. read more

I love this place. Friendly staff that always do a great job. Love the drive through option at this location.

Delicious açaí bowl and paradise smoothie was yummy and huge! My son and I enjoyed our treat together in the fun atmosphere with good music.

I'm in town for work and looked up local spots for breakfast and this place came up. Normally I'd go straight for a smoothie but since I had a coffee I decided to try the Peanut Butter crunch flatbread. It has peanut butter, granola, bananas and honey. Sounds good right? It's interesting... I think the only thing they did wrong is GRILLED the flatbread. It definitely has a taste that would go with some sort of meat but it doesn't really work for breakfast. Think smokey bbq flavor bread mixed with the filling listed above. It's edible but strange... I will say the prices seem reasonable especially for the smoothies. I'll be back later to try them at least. read more
