We are in the Eastmoor Area, so this was close. Stav's is a traditional dinner with some two-tops along the wall and the counter. There were two open tables, and we were seated right away. Our server was right there, asking about coffee or drinks and offering a menu. Coffee was served in a good-sized mug. I had a western omelet with hash browns, rye toast, and coffee. My wife had a mushroom omelet. Our food was out very quickly. Our meal was good but not extraordinary. If you are looking for a breakfast or lunch place on the Eastside, give these folks a try.

We did sit down and have our food brought to us, but it still felt more like a fast-casual setup than one that warrants a tip prompt. The restaurant itself is pleasant, clean, open, and airy with a nice patio out front. No complaints there. The food, however, was underwhelming. The breakfast tacos, supposedly the star of the show, were bland across the board and fell apart almost immediately. Three small tacos for $20 is a tough sell when there's nothing memorable about them. The Nutella pancake balls were decent but forgettable. The real highlight? The bacon, but that's not exactly a high bar. As for the orange juice, it comes pre-made and refrigerated near the register, which felt a little out of place for a spot with this kind of reputation. I genuinely don't understand the hype around the food here. The price point would be justified if the flavors delivered, but they simply don't.
