I have been to Zest Grandview quite a few times in the past, but today was definitely my best experience! Typically I know when I go to Zest I am going to have a long wait time for a smoothie, either due to long lines or short staffing. Today there was no one in store and I ordered my absolute favorite, "The Fix" which is a banana based smoothie and features their cold brew mixed in. The consistency was perfect and I could definitely taste the cold brew and almond butter. I also got a cold pressed juice from their grab and go section. I don't get these too often but the orange grapefruit was really good! I was also intrigued by some of the food items they had this morning but decided to pass. Overall, I will definitely come back to zest since their smoothies are really good (sometimes just a little inconsistent) and it's very convenient. Zest is such a great spot for healthy food in Grandview. There's some indoor seating, and the vibe is really cute. There is greenery on the walls, and then fresh and premade food and drinks. The smoothies are great. The tofu wraps are delicious, and they also have really good oatmeal and juices. Man, when you are itching for a detox your body will tell you. I love that this place popped up on my Yelp faves so since I was in the area, I had to check it out! This space is located on 5th street in Grandview. Columbus is the businesses home and it pretty family-oriented. All things fruit and veggie here! I never been here before so it was cool to try out. Zest Juice was a decent stop for a Smoothie bowl and some take home snacks. The bowl was OK sized and came with the acai base, peanut butter, banana, and granola. It had a good amount of topping, but I'd have liked at least one more for variety. The berry base was a little thin for my taste. The variety pack of house made protein balls was very nice, I like that they have unique flavors -Cranberry Orange and Carrot Cake. We've been here in the past yet this is the first time I've felt like posting. Trying to park in this plaza is a nightmare because not only are there cars in parking spots patronizing the businesses but across the street there are several yoga and Pilates classes and businesses and all of their clients park in the SAME PLAZA as well. I'm unsure if the businesses have complained or maybe they've got some under the table handshake agreement that it's okay for them to park there if they recommend their smoothie shop to their yoga customers or what but be prepared to possibly be parked down the street and around the block due to no parking. Nevertheless, I got the Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie with Chocolate Protein, the kiddo got the Pink Smoothie, and the misses got the Sweet Greens. Apparently I picked the best one because they tore mine up. The others were just okay with the Pink being the second best and the Sweet Greens being the least. $9 a piece X 3 $27. During the stay at home orders and restaurants closing, I decided to check out Zest since I was in the area. I didn't realize you could still walk in the store to order because for some reason I thought you had to order ahead and can pick it up curb side. We did social distancing :) I ordered the Sweet Green smoothie ($7) also the dragon fruit smoothie bowl with my own topping choices ($10). The sweet green smoothie has banana, strawberry, mango, spinach, kale, avocado & orange juice. I was on the edge about this, but you taste the banana more than any other flavors. So much health! The dragon fruit bowl comes with dragon fruit, strawberry, banana, raspberry, mango & orange juice. I topped it off with bananas, strawberries, and their gluten free granola. It was absolutely delicious! It's more tart which I personally prefer. My favorite is mixing all the flavors with the crunchy granola since it adds some texture. I've only tried their smoothie bowl and it was very good. I think I got the basic Acai bowl which has the below ingredients: BASE acai, banana, blueberry, raspberry & coconut milk TOPPINGS peanut butter, vanilla granola & banana The smoothie bowls have set ingredients but you can make your own bowl which is nice. For my smoothie bowl, I choose strawberries instead of bananas and my friend got bananas as a topping (see attaches photos). It was nice that they allowed me to switch out the banana topping for strawberry. In addition, my smoothie bowl was topped with granola which gave it a nice crunch and peanut butter. They blend up smoothies in drink form as well if you don't want it in a bowl. Besides juices, the menu also consists of protein bites, salad, wraps, and different kinds of avocado toast. I heard that their avocado toast is a hit. I came here a few years ago (2016) during the week in the afternoon as a quick break from work. If I stilled lived in Columbus then I would definitely stop by here sometime. Service was good but the smoothie bowls are not cheap ($10 each). These protein balls don't have protein content marked on them so I am suspicious. They're all a chocolate lemony cranberry flavor- I hate cranberry so they were bad. Not smooth in texture like Alchemy. The smoothie I got was $7 and Strawberry PBJ flavor. I'm not sure I detected any peanut or other nut butter but it made for a not bad strawberry smoothie although I could get more from Smoothie King. Nice selection of self made juices but $9 a bottle! If you haven't been to Zest, you need to. They have multiple locations across Columbus, I just happen to live closest to this one, so I am always there. Zest has made some changes in the recent years, which I think is why they were able to succeed & expand. They offer a rewards program (who doesn't love that) & have lowered their smoothie prices (i believe they use to be more like $9 and are now... $7ish I believe). Zest offers smoothies, juices, snacks, smoothie bowls, some different varieties of toast and some pre-made wraps. The paradise punch juice is very good. I have probably had a variety of their different smoothies. I always go back to their Peanut Butter Split (perfect for after a workout!). The Pink smoothie & The Fix are both really great too. I can't even tell that I am drinking kale juice! When I walked in the doors at the Grandview location, I was immediately welcomed by the staff. They were so nice. Like... SO nice. I wasn't sure what I was feeling today so she helped me come to a conclusion. You could tell that the workers were proud of their product... rightfully so. The only reason Zest isn't a 5 star for me is the prices.... I know that the ingredients are top-notch and smoothie/juice prices are skyrocketing across the country... but it's tough for me to validate a $9 16oz smoothie. Will I enjoy one every now and then? There are many high quality ingredients they use here like cashew milk. You will find something for your tastes. I would like to come more often and try everything else they have. The stuff is just too expensive to be an every day thing like for some people. It's about $9 to $10 for a small bottle. They have a rewards program where you can get one free after awhile. Too bad you have to come 12 times before you can be rewarded. I will say what they have is high quality ingredients made with a great amount of care. I stood in line for 15+ minutes only to have the ONLY employee working tell me that she was backed up and that it would be more than 10 more minutes before she could get to whatever I ordered. This of course isn't that poor overworked women's fault--clearly poor management. I love Zest! This was the first of the juice/smoothie places to open up near me, so it's a fave. They have already remodeled to make it more efficient and have more seating inside. I usually grab and go, so I love the refrigerated juices, wraps and other stuff you can buy while there. I'm definitely a smoothie girl, so I've tried many of those, including a lot of the special ones they make. The açaí bowls are also delicious, as well as the juice blends. Hooray for another cold-pressed juice spot in town! I am currently beside myself at the fact that no matter which neighborhood I'm in, I can find a delicious juice bar. And now I'm officially adding Zest to my rotation. If you're new to the cold-pressed juice world, I hate to break it to you: $8-$10 a bottle is pretty standard. I know that seems pricey, but there's a lot lotta work that goes into those bottles--and the ingredients are high-quality. The same is true for Zest. Most of their juices are $8/9. Their flavors run the gamut of produce: from oranges, to beets, to cashew milk. I think their cashew milk is most notable. It has fat, which is nice when you're looking for a meal replacement, and other ingredients include coconut oil, vanilla, Himalayan pink sea salt, and dates. Y'all... It tasted like I was drinking melted vanilla ice cream. Zest also does shooters (I'm sure they call these something else, but my memory is shit). You can have wheatgrass, blue algae, immune booster, etc. I got the immune booster which was a load of ginger and lemon--right up my alley. I mean... It'll knock you on your ass... but I like that sort of thing. They also do smoothies, which sounded delicious, and I hear acai bowls are coming soon. The interior is small, but really beautiful with lots of wood and natural light. The owner (at least I think I met the owner?) was super friendly, down-to-earth, and was happy to chat with me about all their different products. I will not complain about the price because I don't think a place can be talked down or ranked less just because they cost more. They use quality ingredients and have a great space and everybody manages a business differently. I will, however complain about the quality of the açai bowls. I enjoy the different selections they have and I like how you can mix and match flavors, but the base of the açai bowls themselves is just like a pretty typical smoothie I could get a berry blendz. It's sugary, icey, and fruity. I don't like how you are charged 50 cents extra per extra topping, considering they give you less of the other toppings if you would like to add more toppings. Despite their açai bowls not being too great and even not being blended enough at times (i'll get big chunks of frozen fruit every here and there), I love their juice selection and their small juice shots that they have. I also like the space that they have. It's small, but it's well maintained and it has a great vibe. Zest also has the most amazing smoothies I've ever had. I know the $9 price point turns a lot of people off, but these smoothies are jam packed with ingredients and actually decently filling--especially when they contain some nut butters.
