Wow...David is the embodiment of integrity and "doing the right thing". I had two prior pool guys quote me on replaster and try hardball sales tactics to get me to commit. David, despite offering the best deal for replaster, told me not to waste my money unless I was going to replaster for purely cosmetic reasons. He explained that what I perceived as damage was only cosmetic and not structural. I then asked him about installing a pool heater and he recommended I have my pool guy do it because he cleans my pool weekly and would be able to perform regular maintenance on it. We had multiple bids on resurfacing our pool and tile cleaning. Every other company insisted we needed all new tile because our 45 year old pool tiles could not be located. Dave found complimentary tiles, and created an effect that looks great and cost so much less than every other bidder. He even took time to inset the tiles into the new concrete in the pool steps and in the spa seat. It looks better than new. My wife and I purchased a short sale home in Riverside and the pool was a total mess. Cracked and crumbled reef step and a complete algae fest. I have owned and operated my own business for 28 years and I am EXTREMELY particular in who I hire. I made a few phone calls and let's face it, the cost of re-plastering and tile, etc. are set costs by the linear foot, square foot or grade of material. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for but Trinity Pools estimate was extremely competitive and more than fair. There was numerous companies that I called and after careful consideration my wife and I chose Trinity. David and the different crews, he had here were for the most part clean and tidy. He took our 1970's pool and turned it into the resort that we wanted. Our old jacuzzi only fit about 1 1/2 people and was flush with the pool deck.The new jacuzzi will seat 8 with no problem and is raised off the pool deck by 2 1/2 ft. A lot easier to get in. The old pool depth was 9-91/2 ft deep and I, as a rule, don't swim that deep. The new depth is about 6 1/2 ft deep. Less water. He also added a reef in the shallow end which allows us to sit in mid torso water and feel like your at the river, also has a post hole `for an umbrella, awesome. I could go on and on, but I won't. David from Trinity Pools got the job, not because of his quote which was reasonable and in line with other quotes I had received,, but by his knowledge and expertise in pool remodeling. We're filling our replastered and retiled pool right now! We went from a pool that was installed in 1988 and looked it, to a lovely pool with a grey plaster and simple stone tiles that look terrific with the brickwork in the backyard. We are remodeling our front and back yard, and I was just going to get my pool rock's painted and leave my old gray plaster alone. However, once the pool was drained, the plaster looked pretty ugly, including a good sized rust stain on the plaster, so I decided I would get bids for the re-plaster. I received 3 bids and decided to go with David at Trinity Custom Pools. Dave is easy to work with, and a very upfront and honest guy to do business with. Instead of going with a plain plaster again, we decided to go with the StoneScapes mini pebbles in Aqua Blue, and Dave added some blue glass and some abalone to the mix as well. Before plastering, Dave's crew dug out the root of the rust problem and cut out the small piece of rebar that was causing the problem. We also decided to upgrade our pool and spa lights to the LED multi-color lights and Dave handled all of that. His crew also came out and acid washed the pool for start up, which saved me some work. The job came out great and we are very pleased with the results. At some point when i need acid washing, I will call Dave right away to get it done. If you need your pool plastered, acid washed, repaired, or any other upgrades, David is the guy to call. read more

Had an acid wash done on a pool, Great price and great service!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company. First Dave is an awesome guy! He gives really good quotes. But Dave does not do the work. Sub-Contractors do and they did a pretty botched up job. It has been 2 weeks since they re-plastered my pool. The kids are getting out with bloody feet. They say its rough on the bottom and the sides. My daughter today got out of the pool with blood coming from her toes. The Start-up! Is pretty non existent. So if you hire Dave, you will be on your own after the plastering is done. This is fine if you know what chemicals to use. If this is a problem, you might want to get someone else. Once Dave gets paid, he is gone. Make sure all of your needs are met before you write the 2nd check upon completion of the job. Overall I was happy with Dave but not happy with his workers or the work they did. Unfortunately, this reflects on him. Dave did keep on target for completion and always returned any calls fairly quickly. He was easy to get a hold of and an all around awesome guy. Sometimes when you go cheap, you end up paying more in the end. I will most certainly have to drain my pool and have it re-plastered next year. I saw the GREAT REVIEWS for TRINITY CUSTOM POOLS and decided to give them a call. We needed to have our pool resurfaced and tiles cleaned. David came out that Saturday and went over with us what he could do and what it would cost. We were very pleased with his pricing and he seemed like a very genuine person. We even showed him some electrical work that was needed on wires going to our Pool Timer and he said he would have his Electrician take care of it. When spending this kind of money, I usaully research companies and will get 3 estimates to get a feel of the job. I've gotta tell you, save your time and call them right away. I was so impressed by Dave when he came by for my estimate. Not only was he prompt, he was courteous, gave me some options and an excellent bid for the job. The tile was cleaned before the job, and I have never seen my tile look so good. During the remodel, any calls to Dave were answered right away, if not returned right away, the job was done on time, it was perfect in every way and the clean up was impeccable. He explained the process, what needs to be done during fill up and even came by after filling to check on the job and the required equiptment settings and brushing. David and Renee are great to do business with. We initially had them re-tile the pool at a rental we own. They bid way under the next lowest bid. I usually won't take the rock bottom proposal but, took a chance. Wow! The pool looked new. We decided to have them re-tile the pool at our home this week. David came out on Friday...He placed the submersible pump in on Sunday....Tilers completed on Monday and...his sons did an acid wash and final cleanup on Tuesday. It is now Wednesday and I'm waiting for our pool service to do a restart on chemicals. Next winter, we will have them apply Pebble Tec. What a pleasure to have an honest contractor. Other contractors who came to quote required that we replace all our tile if we replastered the pool! Our pool is huge, and we actually liked our tile (it just needed to be cleaned), so that would have been an annoying and very large extra expense. David was the one quote who assured us he almost certainly could preserve our tile, and he did! We get new plaster (which we needed) and didn't have to pay to replace all our tile (which we did not need to do). He provided great value, and now we can't keep the kids out of the pool. read more

You don't clean filters after you plaster a pool, please do you think this is my first pool. How would you know the controller didn't work, you filled the pool with water. Wouldn't you check to see if the equipment you installed, salt generator, pool heater worked properly. Dave was inside my home several times looking at the controller. As a business owner myself, I try and make sure my jobs are complete, not half assed. I don't make excuses, I solve problems and make customers happy. As for the free pool cleaner, your bid which I agreed to was over four thousand dollars higher then the other company. But with your great reviews I choose trinity. My mistake, so the cleaner really wasn't free. And I had a pool cleaner already , but Dave failed to inform me it wouldn't work after you remodeled my pool. Dave seems to make promises and then forgets what he said he would do. Pool remodelers like Bogner assist with the startup, make sure the job was done to the customers satisfaction. You justify your inadequacies by telling me to read my contract. If you had completed the job, and my pool functioned we wouldn't have this issue. read more
