We had a pool leak and reached out to Evin from Good Living Pools. From the very first phone call, Evin was professional, informative, and genuinely helpful. After talking through the situation, I decided to have him come out to assess the issue in person. Evin quickly identified that the water loss might be coming from small, hard-to-see cracks in the spa tile. He suggested shutting off the spillway to let the wall dry completely. After monitoring the water levels for a week, his diagnosis was spot on. The leak stopped entirely. He also noticed our pool vacuum was hooked up through the skimmer and explained why that setup wasn't ideal. He pointed out an alternative outlet and even caught a rubber stopper that could've caused serious plumbing damage. He removed it on the spot, not an easy task, but he got it done. Once we confirmed the leak source, we moved forward with replacing the spa tile. Evin mailed us tile samples to choose from and also facilitated an appointment at the warehouse so we could see more options. During the work, Evin found damage behind the tiles, so we decided to repair the top four inches, remove the brick trim, and finish the top in matching tile. It looks fantastic, we love how the spillway looks now when it's running. Evin also upgraded our system overall: he installed a chlorinator (goodbye floating dispenser!), put the pumps on a smart schedule so the pool circulates evenly, automated our line fill, and updated our existing automation system to tie everything together. When Evin was over working on my pool last time I told him how dissatisfied I was with the fact that the folks who originally owned this home ( and put in the pool ) neglected to put an auto water fill feature in.The past 2 pools I have owned both had them. It's super NOT convenient having to constantly look at the pool level and have to manually go out and turn on and off the water to fill the pool. You get one chance to add this feature and it's when the pool is built. Evin had a simple inexpensive fix, recommended I order a part from Amazon and he would come out and install it. I do not like to write long reviews because I feel that people won't read them if long. But, I feel it's important to let people know just how beyond pleased we are with Evin. He is professional in every sense of the word, extremely knowledgeable about how systems work, and more than willing to share that knowledge. We had a Pentair heater die on us and was told by a few different pool experts we need a new one. No one could tell us why it suddenly died, just that it did. No one that is until Evin. He asked if we would like for him to dismantle the heater to see what went wrong and also to see if he could possibly repair it. First time anyone offered that! Of course we would. He took it apart right where it stood and showed us exactly why it had died. There was no doubt we needed a new heater. Evin then offered to come back the next day with a brand new heater (same model as what we had) and install it. Wait! Did you just say tomorrow? Not only did he have other projects that day, he took the time to go pick up heater and come back as promised and install it before end of day. He answered every question we had and not in a condescending way. He genuinely enjoys sharing his knowledge and said to call him anytime with any questions. I learned more about pool heaters and how they interact with the system than I ever could have learned from reading a manual.
