We've been trying to give business to the local spots in Babylon and Bay Shore with all this nonsense going on. We went here and ordered a bunch of apps and cocktails last night and it was pretty bad. Our server was nice enough and that's pretty much where the 2 stars come in. The "lobster nachos" were just nachos, except for the 2 minuscule pieces of lobster I used my microscope to locate under the sea of cheese. The calamari was the smallest portion I've ever seen in my life and was just tiny burnt pieces covered with coconut. The tuna tartar was the best of all the apps but still fell flat. Pretty much only enjoyed the plantains they're served with and the margaritas. I'll be going back soon to grab my friend's credit card they forgot to put back in the holder. First visit for brunch. Nice choices that includes a very generous mimosa or Bloody Mary. One at our table was not drinking alcohol but they still served a mimosa for sharing. 3 of us had the lobster omelette. Large portion with lobster in the omelette and on top. I've been to Tres Palms many times and it's always a great experience. It's a great spot for a casual outdoor view. If you don't want to wait, make a reservation on the weekends in the summer. The Bloody goose (Bloody Mary) is excellent along with the lobster nachos and New England clam chowder soup-very filling! I spilt a burger which was excellent! I also had the pink Cadillac margarita which Was good but a little too sweet for me. It attracts a laid back , friendly crowd which I always like. You can go there year round. The beach vibe on the water is great! One star for that! First the place is expensive. Which is fine if they can just get it right. $19 for burger. It comes out looking like a hockey puck... make food as if a customer is going to take a pic and put it on Yelp!!! It looked like It was made a week ago and reheated. If I have to send back food, it's a problem... NO ONE feels comfortable eating food at your restaurant after they have to send it back... I came here a year ago. Ordered fish tacos. They arrive, no creme fraiche on them... I say something to waiter, he says I'm sorry we are out... why wouldn't you tell me this before you bring them out??? .... Come on people!! We came here with friends for a nice dinner on the water on a beautiful summer evening. The hostesses were nice and took us to a table outside by the dock. The young waiter was friendly enough, but not very good. We didn't have silverware, he didn't know the specials and his appearances were very sporadic. I had a decent burger - was tasty but skimpy on the cheese. I also asked that they put my pickles on my wife's plate (I hate them, she loves them) and that seemed too difficult for the kitchen. Many of the other menu items seemed a little pricey and when i saw the servings I'm glad I stuck with a burger. read more

My parents went out to this restaurant for their anniversary dinner and do not have yelp on their phones, but wanted to leave a review... this is what my father had to say: "First steak arrived at table over cooked (ordered medium rare) we sent it back (we are not ones to send back food or complain often). Owner came to table to tell us that is the way medium rare is cooked (steak was dark and had no flavor). Second steak came to table perfectly cooked. Came here for dinner last night with a few friends. We came for the $1 oysters and $5 local beer. We ordered a dozen oysters to start and I was extremely disappointed. I ate about 3 and couldn't stomach anymore. Slimey, smelly, were NOT fresh. Seemed as if they were opened earlier and left out all day or refrigerated from the day before. GROSS. Next I ordered the bacon wrapped tiger shrimp with asparagus and guac. The shrimp were OK. The asparagus must have been steamed, no flavor and lifeless. Drowned by some kind of brown sauce. GUAC - squeezed from a bag. MUSH. Almost brown from whatever "balsamic" was suppose to be drizzled over the shrimp, which was actually a watery pool around the guac. 30$ are you joking?? 2 of us got burgers-- dried out and fries were soggy. $15 Salad -- I would rather eat a tossed salad from McDonalds. The presentation of all the food was horrible and we struggled to eat anything. The ONLY thing this place has going for itself is the LOCATION. Been there a couple of times this summer. Great spot on the bay to enjoy lunch. We've come by boat and by jet ski. Plenary of seating outside to enjoy the view. Drink choices are excellent. Not many casual or inexpensive waterfront dining options on Long Island, but look no further. Came on a Sunday late afternoon after a day at the beach and was greeted and sat with little to no wait time. The atmosphere here is calm and casual, the servers and rest of the staff are all friendly and helpful, I didn't even have to second guess coming back here. With many options on the menu it was hard to choose what to get, but after trying their baked clams, I won't have that problem again, they have had to be one of the best baked clams I've ever tried... and their lobster roll, although on the smaller side, definitely one of the best I've tried. read more

I don't know where to start. First I get sat down by a bunch of drunk cockheads talking about how they sit reverse on a toilet taking a shit. Then my "fresh muscles" come out that taste like dead fish. Over cooked burger came shortly after. My fiancé got a chicken dish with the most watery "Mac and cheese" ever. Brussels sprouts weren't cooked at all. Drinks are way over priced with barley any alcohol in them. Not sure who's getting a tip either because you guys have 5 waiters and waitress taking care of us. Honestly one of my favorite restaurants. Drinks are amazing, seating is lovely, food is food, service is always top notch. Had the same experience in every seating option in the restaurant: bar, dock, dining by the fireplace, dining in the back glass room by the garden. Great for formal occasions or after the beach. They have good specials too, their lobster Tuesday is amazing ! I recommend having a reservation. Once I came without one and was told an hour and 45 minute wait ! Sitting at the bar is great too, and sometimes they have live music in the bar ! Must haves are duck wings, blue point oysters, and cocktail list drinks. Also if you have a boat and pull up to the dock they will serve you on the boat. This is just such an awesome and totally Babylon place. Decided to go for Monday $5 margaritas and taco specials. We decided on chicken nachos and fried calamari. Food was mediocre. When bill arrived, we were surprised that we were charged $10 for each margarita. When we inquired we were told only regular margaritas were $5 and flavored margaritas were $10. We had ordered watermelon margaritas but waiter apologized for not letting us know that flavored margaritas were more money. View very pretty but that was the highlight of Tres Palm. read more

It was Sunday afternoon and I wanted to find a place to sit outdoors by the water on the south shore. My search brought me to Tres Palms. So happy it did because the place was awesome. Beautiful views of the Great South Bay with tables outside or inside. We waited a short time and we were seated outside on the deck overlooking the marina and the bay. We had delicious cocktails and appetizers. Had house special salad and Seafood Fra Diavlo. The preparation and cooking was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. A beautiful afternoon of drinks and dinner at the waterfront. We will definitely return. read more

Worst tasting water i've ever had in my life it was room temperature & tasted like it came out of the garden hose, which is unfortunate considering i don't drink alcohol or soda. The food is overpriced considering it's glorified concession stand food that looks like it's literally just slapped on a plate, really surprised they dont send your food out with a plastic fork and knife. The staff was a little incompetent as well so overall terrible experience. Must be the drunks in the bar screaming karaoke keeping this place in business because it certainly isn't the food. I have been here on numerous occasions. The service lately for Sunday Brunch was non existent, fifty minutes to receive burnt, cold omelets with congealed cheese. I've been to Tres Palms many times, but I cannot express enough how it has changed since the pandemic. Not only have the prices skyrocketed, but the quality of food has taken a SEVERE nosedive. My husband and brother-in-law both ordered the fish and chips. We were seated in the back room and as soon as they entered the room with their entrées, the smell was overwhelmingly fishy. My sister and mother ordered the crab cakes. It was 1/16th crab and 15/16 breading. The calamari was cheap and obviously frozen. Everything tasted frozen for months. They advertised Happy Hour online, but to our surprise and disappointment, there was no Happy Hour. I understand that restaurants need to compensate for the money lost during the pandemic, but they should not add insult to injury by compromising quality and raising prices. read more

Nice restaurant on the water. I'm not sure where the $$ comes from as this place is a little expensive. Their buger is $25. A small steak sandwich was $24. I have been coming to Tres Palm since they opened. I came three different times over the summer because it's local and on the water. Giving it 2 stars on my last time there was gracious. We ordered drinks, appetizers and dinner. The crab cakes have gone downhill. My husband's dinner never came. When we finally got the waiter, he started to argue that we only ordered one meal. They brought out the meal about 15 minutes later. I couldn't tell you his name because he never introduced himself. Place was cute , BUT SERVICE AND FOOD AWFUL - 50 minutes to receive 4 cocktails - food and app came out at the same time for 4 of the 5 at table ... then our cocktails- 2 went back white wine spritzer (white wine and seltzer) was white wine and orange juice !!!! They should go back to surfing - their passion for food and hospitality is severely lacking!!! Don't be fooled by the name. This is a rickety (don't let the website's wide angle view of the building fool you), ridiculously noisy beachcomber's haven, just another waterside "Barnacle Bill's". I can tolerate Friday night fun just as much as the next Moondoggy, but its strepitous Beach Blanket Bingo ambience, predictably mediocre service with zero knowledge of what dining implements go on a table & room temperature food are no justification for the ridiculous dinner prices. (The less expensive lunch menu disappears at 5pm.) Avoiding a second mortgage, I chose the intermediately priced scallops. Admittedly the scallops were tasty, but I swear the accompanying Parsnip Apple Puree, Truffle Mushroom Sauce, in Mango Relish seemed nothing more than tepid mashed potatoes. Unfortunately I will not be dining at this restaurant anymore. The waitress that we had was a total dingbat and did not know what she was doing. I asked for fries because they only gave me a few fries on my plate and they Charged me for a whole new order. Then when I complained about it they did nothing about it they asked me if I wanted to speak with the owner and I said yes. Food is quite pricey for what it is. Calamari was very greasy. Burger was fine. Tiger shrimp was a very odd combo - the guacamole did not go with the dish and the bacon around the shrimp was all fat. The table next to us had the lobster nachos and said there was barely any lobster. Service was very slow and waitress inattentive. It's in the bay with a bay view. Prices mimic those of Prime in Huntington. Lobster nachos were on point but supposed, "blue point oysters" tasted less than... Pig roast seemed promising so I may return for that. Over $100 for three small apps and 2 drinks seemed stiff. Wait staff disappeared after the food was delivered. Superb bussing staff. I love oysters and somehow I ended up leaving some on my plate because they were not appetizing. If you're in the immediate area and heavy on cash, try it. Went there yesterday service was horrible . I had to go look for the waitress finally a young man not our server walked by and got me a drink. Our server brought food Lobster Roll which was delicious. But no utensils and when asked for napkins acted like she was doing us a favor!!!!!! The people next to us had 1 beer and left . Rating four stars for now, when I eventually eat dinner here I will decide if it is a 5-star worthy. This is an excellent spot for brunch. I came here recently with a small group. First off, the location is beautiful. Right on the water - fantastic views. Would definitely like to be here for sunset. The brunch menu is very reasonable, and you get your choice of a Bloody Mary or a mimosa for around $12. I chose the mimosa, as did the rest of my party. We all got an omelette of different varieties, and we all were very satisfied. We never felt rushed, and our waiter was super awesome and attentive. The coffee (not included) was also very good. Honestly, I don't have any complaints. This is a super great spot to grab brunch right on the water. I'm looking forward to seeing what their dinnertime menu tastes like, yum! read more

You are by the dock and the restaurant is catering to a crowd looking for drinks and fresh seafood. It's super loud- they have two guitar players with speakers in the bar and we had to move in the restaurant in order to hear the waiter or ourselves. The service was good- the waiter recommended what was fresh and let us take our time. You kind of have to order seafood, but they offer beef options as well. Calamari with a green sauce was good with lots of garlic. We had tiger shrimp wrapped in bacon and a spin on coconut shrimp- which was coconut cod instead. A great local casual place on the water with amazing views of the Great South Bay! We love the outdoor seating while watching the boats go by. My favorite thing on the menu is the Lobster Nachos.
