Was there two days ago and let me say. Service was bad. The lobster roll was super small and had bacon in it, which I don't eat. The server could of told us that. The salad was bad and my lady ask for Caesar dressing. The server could of told us there wasn't any. Our patience was running out Because he brought the salad toss with balsamic and my lady can't eat it due to indigestion and she ask for ranch. Stopped in for lunch, nice outdoor seating area right on the water, enjoyed the view of the boats coming in to dock and dine. We visited Tres Palms for dinner on Friday 2/23/18. When we entered we noticed that there were only 2 tables seated in the dining room. I remember thinking to myself, it must be one of three reasons: it's more of a summer place, it's early or it's not good. Based on this review and the amount of stars given, you'll soon see the reason. There were 2 waitresses working that night. One had the 2 tables that were eating when we got there. The other waitress, who was our waitress, only had us to wait on. I don't know if she was new or clueless, but she sucked! She spent most of the time hiding in the kitchen, and when she did come to the table, she would ask if we were done with our food while we were still eating. Terrible service was only half the problem. The food was even worse than the service. We started with a dozen oysters. They were less than fresh and whoever shucked them clearly had no clue what they were doing because all the liquor was poured out and they were full of shards of shell, plus they seemed warm. As an oyster lover, this may have been the worst oyster experience I've encountered. Than we had the lobster nachos, or should I say lobster-less nachos. The 2 or 3 bits of lobster on top of half burnt nachos was pathetic. Lastly, we shared the pan seared salmon entree. It's time to start looking for a new chef because the inexperienced cook in the kitchen has to go! The pan seared salmon was over seared and actually burnt on top. And it was swimming in a disgusting looking purple soup. Awful place. The place has one positive: It's on the beautiful Great South Bay. Everything else is a negative. They are running the place poorly and resent any reminders of that because if you say anything, you get a nasty response. The food is bar grill food. The fish is under par. The service is poor because they aren't ready for you. The attitude there is dim. Won't go back. It's a locals place for drinking and that's probably why it's the way it is. If you are in for a quick bite of finger food, tacos, fries and drinks and you don't care about anything else and paying too much for it. But if you want a nice dining atmosphere, and good food, don't go here. read more

Came here to eat for the first time and everything was absolutely great! First off the service is quick and friendly. The food comes out very quickly at a timely manner. I had the crab cake to start off and it was so juicy and tender it only opened my appetite up for more food. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Salomon, again juicy in the middle and crusted on the outside perfectly and just rightly seasoned. My date had scallops with risotto and he couldn't resist to lick the plate. This is a highly recommend for seafood! Great ambience and such a great view to the water. As someone who works in a restaurant, there are many COVID-19 procedures to practice and follow in order to keep the customers safe- such as wearing a mask AT ALL TIMES. The tables weren't 6 feet apart, and I noticed the worker who was rolling silverware out on the open floor, would take off his mask when he started to touch the utensils and roll the silverware (to also include NOT washing his hands after taking off DIRTY dishes from tables). I called over who I believed was the boss/manager, (who was ALSO not wearing a mask), if he believed that was acceptable. Not only do I receive the most IGNORANT answer of "well if that makes you uncomfortable...", but he also WALKS AWAY before I could finish speaking. Also as someone who had corona MOST LIKELY FROM GOING TO A FOOD ESTABLISHMENT, I found this INCREDIBLY rude, disrespectful, and unsafe. I also saw another boss manager who wasn't wearing a mask (i guess this doesn't apply to them??) who was in the KITCHEN. I guess this sign was just for decoration. I am ASTOUNDED by the immaturity & ignorance. It's all fun and games until you actually get it. I visited on July 20, 2018b for lunch at 12. I love the outside seating. I ordered the crab cake and my fiance has the poppers. OMG delicious. The crab cake was Not fishy at all. The poppers were so well seasoned. The bed of guacamole was the Cherry on top. For our entrees we had the salmon and the coconut encrusted. Can I say once again they scored. Both were cooked to perfection. The salmon was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The cod was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad was good as well. The only thing I wish was different is the sauce on the cod was too sweet for my taste. It was good, but had too much. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. Our server was great as well. If you are looking for a cute place with a good vibe, good drinks, good service and good food DO NOT GO HERE. Epic disappointment. 51 minutes to get 4 drinks, 2 white wine spritzers that had Orange Juice in them and were sent back, appetizers that came out with the dinner and one dinner was "Miss Fired" as the waiter put it and came out when we were done. Asked for a manager who never came to the table. Got the check and left the table with food still on the plates. Asked the hostess for the manager as we were walking out and she finally came to the hostess desk and said she didn't come to the table because she was told she didn't have to. REALLY? More like a local watering hole for the boaters. Such a shame because on a nice summer evening the place could make a killing if it were just run with proper staffing and a little TLC. This is probably a fun place to go sit outside in the summer and enjoy some cocktails, nicely decorated, great location... NOT a family restaurant from our experience. We ended up here because we were on our way back from Christmas photos and the restaurant we'd planned to go to was not open yet. At 330pm the place was mostly empty besides the bar, which was full of a rowdy football crowd. They sat us directly next to the bar with our 9 and 13 year old children to listen to a lot of inappropriate and raunchy banter. Some people were saying tone it down, there's kids - others were saying "take the kids home"... so that was rather uncomfortable. I did not expect the bar crowd to censor themselves, im just not sure why a place with a kids menu would sit us there when the place was empty. Service was so-so... nachos were great.. both wings and chicken tenders were rubbery and overcooked. My husband enjoyed his steak but the tuna tar tar was very bland. My bloody Mary looked great on the menu but I think this was the first time in history I didn't finish one. Might go back one day for beers on the water, adults only - but thats about it. read more

The food i had wasn't too great. I ordered guacamole, and the avocado was no bueño. You know how avocados are only good for about 15 minutes of their lives? This was had that acidic spoiled taste. Bartenders were on top of the requests and served up two frosty concoctions. My coconut martini was delish and Tim's stoli o was perfect We were seated promptly. We four decided on the lobster nachos ... tasty but a little too heavy on the cheese and a bit to stingy on the lobster. For the price it could have been better Nice assortment of wines both by the glass and bottle. Prices reasonable I ordered the fish special which was quite tasty though a bit under done for my taste. I have eaten many times at Tres palms for years. I love the vibe and the location. I have had very good meals and some not so good. I took some friends to eat 7/9/21. We ordered the seafood tower to start. What a mistake. Several clams and oysters were destroyed while trying to open them, they were opened several hours prior to serving them and shriveled to nothing. A cold lobster that also was dried and tasteless. Although I love the setting, the restaurant is dated and to be quite frank, dirty. Now for the awful dining experience. We each ordered grilled salmon with rice and steamed vegetables. As an appetizer we order the tuna tar-tar. First things first, the tuna was tasteless and I'm fairly certain it came from a can, it was pink and a little slimy. Now for our salmon, at first sight, it didn't look bad. Until our second bite and realized the center of the salmon was completely raw. The side of rice was salty it was not edible, one bite and I pushed it away. Even the steamed vegetables were off, they tasted like they were days old and had freezer burn. Had a very poor experience on Sunday. Reserved a table for 10 three weeks ago for a special birthday. Confirmed three days before and was promised a water view table. The table we got had a terrible view of the bathrooms and the drunks waiting on line. Drinks took 40 minutes to arrive and when one was wrong the replacement took 20 minutes after we tracked down the server. One of three appetizers was incorrect and never replaced. The food was good when it finally arrived (some of it never made it after several kind reminders) it was such poor service that we just started laughing about it. 4 of us seated, 8 menus provided. Asked for napkins, they brought two over (after several times asking) asked for silverware, they asked who needed it....all of us would like forks and knives, please. Never came. Terrible experience and encounter with the owner! A large group of us went to tres palms to listen to our friend perform. We were all at the bar area and my fiancé and I had gotten seats at the bar to order food while we were drinking. The food was ok; nothing special but also not bad. However, as the night went on and more and more people crammed into the bar area it got extremely warm. One of the guests at the bar was literally dripping sweat so I went over to open one of the windows because it was incredibly stuffy and an open window would absolutely help. As I opened the first window, a women at the table next to the window outside came over and aggressively shut the window without a word. I figured she simply didn't want to hear all of the noise from the crowded bar so I moved down to the next set of windows in front of a different table and asked those guests if we could open that window. Those guests said it would be fine so we opened that window. The same crazy woman got up and closed that window as well; without a word again. Just an aggressive nasty look. So I reopened the window and explained that the people at the table said it was ok. Now at this point it became clear that this woman was either extremely intoxicated or on some kind of drugs (pills). Her eyes were barely opened and she could not stand straight. However, much to my surprise she declared that she was in fact the owner and that I was not allowed to open the windows. I replied that if she refuses to either put the air on or let the windows open then I would not be paying my bill and that it was completely unprofessional for her to act the way she did. Her husband (who also identified himself as the owner) came over and said he'd cover my bill but he wasn't kind about it at all. (I later found out that he also told the bar tender to no longer serve us which is crazy because we had only 2 drinks and clearly were not the ones under the influence. The bar tender admitted that he ignored the owners request to stop serving us because he knew we were right and he felt bad at how we were being treated). At the end of our night when I asked for the bill; (I needed my card back and wanted to be able to leave the bartender a nice tip for his hard work) I was surprised to see a bill for $150. I called the bartender over and reminded him that the owner was supposed to cover my bill. The bartender explained that he took some drinks off but that he was told I still needed to pay. By that point (about 10pm), the owners of course had left so there was no remedy for the situation and I didn't want to make a scene or give the bartender a hard time so I just paid it but I will never go back. Definitely not the kind of establishment I'll ever support. They don't care about their customers and they are classless and rude. read more
