Where do I begin? We were sat at an outside table by the hostess. Placed our order then was asked if we wanted to order anything by the other hostess. As if we just sat ourselves. Apps came out, no utensils no plates no napkins which we asked for. Eventually hubby had to get up and go get them.I didn't know it was self serve.The apps were cold, the chicken wings chewy our server only came by once. Don't waste ur money or time. Had a quick bite to eat at the concession part not the restaurant park. Hot dog was just ok, didn't hit the spot like beach hot dogs used to. French fries were meh. New England clam chowder was served barely warm, but the taste was decent. Chicken fingers were really good though and served hot. Came here after going to Gatsby's for lunch I looked at the menu and it was identical. I asked the bartender what's going on and she smiled and said that the owners of Gatsby's own tiki Joe's now definitely recommend if you're driving around Robin Moses area or Jones Beach for a drink or food or if you're coming off a charter from one of the fishing boats cool little spot to hang out read more

Solid (only) option in Captree. There are three places to sit - inside with which has its own fast food style menu, and on the patio and upstairs which share a more extensive menu. We visited on a nice afternoon and opted to enjoy the marina views from the patio. We ordered a Cobb Salad and Fish & Chips (they were fine to substitute fries with a salad). The fish batter was fresh and perfectly fried -- so delicious. Insider's Tip: The restaurant is located beyond the toll area and cost $8 when we visited. read more

Went here with a couple of girls for lunch. I had the Ahi tuna wrap. It was very good. My one friend ordered way too much food so she was able to take home her salad. And half of her chicken sandwich. My other girlfriend got a platter with french fries and grilled chicken. The french fries were really really good. You place your order and they give you a Buzzer so you know when your food is ready. The service was fast which I was grateful for because we were hungry. You can either eat outside or inside on the beach on the sand so lots of options while we were there they had music playing and dancing. It was a nice Time to catch up with friends. read more

This was my first time here and it's a very nice place by the Capri Basin to meet up with family and friends for a drink , snack or to enjoy some music ! There is a very nice patio area with plenty of tables and an outside bar . They do have indoor seating as well but I didn't go inside . We arrived early evening to find the place packed with people enjoying themselves. The dock is right there and there are picnic tables and a playground for the kids . The fast food selections are pretty standard , they are good but nothing to rave about , hence the 3 stars . I had fish and chips $23 , the fish was flaky but it was slightly greasy with more batter then fish ! Also a bit overpriced for the quality of food you are getting . My husband ordered a Caesar Salad, but they didn't have grilled chicken , only breaded chicken but he said it tasted good . Others had the burgers and chicken fingers which they said were also good . The drinks were made well and their Rocket Fuel was a fairly good rendition of the original drink you can get on Ocean Beach ! Yum ! Our service was great, he was attentive , polite and friendly . I wish I could have given them 4 stars as the atmosphere , music , drinks and service were fantastic ! read more

Great (only?) choice dockside at Captree for either a quick, casual bite to eat, ordered inside at the counter (dine in or out on their patio...) or order from their "fancier" table service menu. We ordered fish and chips (HUGE portion!!) and the side salad, which was also a good size. I was surprised there weren't MORE seafood/fish options with such a primo waterside location, but it might have been a smaller, COVID times menu. Great outdoor patio, with awesome views and fast, friendly service. A well-stocked bar, and apparently some regularly scheduled live music on weekends make Tiki's a FINE spot to "get away from it all" even while staying local!! read more

The bartender Aug 21from 5.15-5.45 pm was inept and slow. Had to take the order 3 x to get it right. He had a big attitude above all. Drinks are very overpriced. Just because this is the only booze joint on the beach, it will survive. Don't go here. Instead, go to a local bar after you are done at the beach. read more

I just went for drinks and didn't have my hopes high because it's at the marina basin. It definitely looks cute, however, I felt like it was an episode of Bar Rescue. The bartender did shots with all of the employees. She was yelling and screaming...apparently wasted. In the short time I was there, she spit on the ground twice, shot the soda gun in her mouth and then at employees. She picked up a drink, took a sip and spit it out and made a scene. The final straw was her belching and then giggling. Many of the employees kept going to the side bar to get themselves a drink. Very unprofessional and quite frankly, trashy. read more

Drink was fantastic but the service from the bartender was very unpleasant. I asked for margarita, first she just poured the drink on the glass and then phage it to me... I asked her to shake it, to which she was hesitant and said it's going to make a foam, I said okay. she then took the drink a drink shook it very sloppy in front of me the drink spilled all over the table. She touched all over my straw and put the straw backwards. I asked for a second straw because I didn't feel comfortable with her touching my straw with her bare hand all over. Overall the live music was great the drink was great but the bartender, not sure if it's because I'm brown but I got a very poor service. read more

Went to see a friend's band and had a great time. The service was excellent, place was hopping & so was our server. Even busy she still made sure to check on us regularly. The back clams were fabulous. We basically got appetizers & we're pleased with our choices. I was drinking one of their signature cocktails which was delicious. Amazing little restaurant right on the docks of the Captree Boat Basin. The food is EXCELLENT and the service is top notch. I'm not sure what the two one star reviews experienced (perhaps an off day?? ) but I have dined here several times and have not been disappointed. They offer live music on the weekends and although the loud music makes conversation a little difficult, there is seating away from the band. The prices are a reflection of the cost of food and have risen since COVID but that is everywhere. Unlike other establishments they do not add a "covid surcharge" to customers who pay with a credit card. Head on down while the weather is still good - they have bands lined up until the end of September. read more
