    Cobb Salad

Solid (only) option in Captree. There are three places to sit - inside with which has its own fast food style menu, and on the patio and upstairs which share a more extensive menu. We visited on a nice afternoon and opted to enjoy the marina views from the patio. We ordered a Cobb Salad and Fish & Chips (they were fine to substitute fries with a salad). The fish batter was fresh and perfectly fried -- so delicious. Insider's Tip: The restaurant is located beyond the toll area and cost $8 when we visited.

This was my first time here and it's a very nice place by the Capri Basin to meet up with family and friends for a drink , snack or to enjoy some music ! There is a very nice patio area with plenty of tables and an outside bar . They do have indoor seating as well but I didn't go inside . We arrived early evening to find the place packed with people enjoying themselves. The dock is right there and there are picnic tables and a playground for the kids . The fast food selections are pretty standard , they are good but nothing to rave about , hence the 3 stars . I had fish and chips $23 , the fish was flaky but it was slightly greasy with more batter then fish ! Also a bit overpriced for the quality of food you are getting . My husband ordered a Caesar Salad, but they didn't have grilled chicken , only breaded chicken but he said it tasted good . Others had the burgers and chicken fingers which they said were also good . The drinks were made well and their Rocket Fuel was a fairly good rendition of the original drink you can get on Ocean Beach ! Yum ! Our service was great, he was attentive , polite and friendly . I wish I could have given them 4 stars as the atmosphere , music , drinks and service were fantastic !

During Summer Saturdays, there is a live band playing in the evenings, which is great for energy. Sometimes, it may get packed so try to get in early otherwise you might have to wait. Because the first time my wife and I went here we were literally in the parking lot and weren't sure we were there. It's nestled in a residential neighborhood within Sunset Harbor Marina. An actual,,, well you know. This is a must go to place. They offer happy hour daily, all day Thursday. Reduced drinks and a really good happy hour food selection. Additionally, they have an extensive menu which features, seafood, steaks, pasta and burgers. On this occasion we went for the happy hour menu. Added bonus: trivia night. My wife and I are avid trivia participants and this one is pretty good if you're so inclined. Drink wise my wife went with her go to favorite, the Lemon Elderflower Gin Spritz which she proclaims is The Best Drink Ever! As a rum fan I grabbed a few Sunset Punches. A solid rum punch, not the best in Patchogue but good nonetheless. We ordered food from the happy hour menu. Shrimp corn chowder soup. Awesome. Chicken fingers were top notch. Antonio's baked clams were good. They are diced clams, heavily breaded and a bit salty. If you're like me and enjoy clams I'd go with the Clams casino off the regular menu. The atmosphere here is spectacular! Vacation atmosphere right here at home. Great vibe, friendly crowd. By the way, it's called Sunset Harbor for a reason. The sunset view here is spectacular! Open Thursday through Sunday. Live music each day. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. But, leave 2 seats at the bar. Ok?!

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.

Would definitely recommend to visit if you like gothic stuff and tiki bars.

The abyss section has some cocktails that are limited to two per customer. They have some bar bites like fried green tomatoes, shrimp toast, broiled oysters, ricotta, dumplings, sliders. I had the French fries with kimchi ranch, which were underwhelming. Bartenders were cool and kept the drinks coming. We decided to go for Easter dinner and it was more affordable than I expected. It really depends on what you order and if you order a seafood boil or a pasta or rice dish, it's very reasonable! It's got a nice upscale vibe but not at all pretentious. Very good addition to Sunset Plaza food offerings! For Easter Sunday it was a little crowded but not packed. There was no wait to get in. Our waiter was fantastic, prompt and friendly. We even won a $10 gift card at the end of the night as part of an Easter promotion. The seafood boils are always delicious and generous portions. I was debating between the gumbo over rice, jambalaya or cod. I decided to get the Alaskan cod with succotash. I asked if the gumbo was spicy and the waiter said it had a little kick. I asked about the cod and he said it was "very mild." I didn't realize the succotash had jalapeños, which made it spicier than I prefer. I'm not a fan of jalapeños and wish I was because they are in so many of my favorite dishes. Anyway, apart from that - very tasty meal and filling! A nice way to spend Easter!

I was able to pick it up later that evening with no issues. Definitely appreciated that!
