Food was great and unique. We had good drinks and good food. Started with the New Fashion which featured peach. Sat by the fire outside which was nice and relaxing. We transferred our tab to the table and ordered the roasted veggies and roast beef. Everything we ate was unique like some broccoli with our beef as well as parsnips and maybe turnips combined with the original potatoes and carrots. The meat was a little scarce for the price but it was delicious. We also started crushed potatoes that were spot on. Decided to try out Treeline Kitchen at 5pm on a Saturday evening with my husband for dinner and WOW! What a wonderful treat of a restaurant. We were able to get a table right away even though there was an event on the rooftop that night. It became busy shortly after being seated. The interior lighting gives the restaurant a warm and welcoming ambiance. We were able to place orders for happy hour drinks before it ended for the night deciding on the Draft Soulcraft Lager, Spicy Jalapeño Marg and Local Lavender. Solid beer and delicious cocktails. The spicy marg packs a punch with crazy good jalapeño infused tequila and if you love a spicy marg, you'll be a fan. The local lavender was refreshing, sweet and flowery gin flavor that complemented the lavender forward drink amazingly. Ordered the Vegetable Curry and A La Carte Roasted Chicken with Baked Squash. The curry has a light and refreshing flavor with a fresh warm naan bread. The roasted chicken was wonderfully tender with crispy skin. Decided to splurge a bit since we were enjoying the ambiance of the restaurant and ordered their Warm Peach Cake for dessert. Wow- what a cute place!!! There is a fire pit outside and they have blankets on the chairs! Inside was charming. Service: The service was ok. They seemed busy, but it was a little slower than it could be. Food: quite the letdown. The menu promises innovation and classic flavor combos. We got cod, butternut squash, and smash potatoes. Went here for dinner with a group of 4 on a Friday night in January. There was a wait of about 20 minutes so we popped over to Before & After bar across the street for a quick pre-dinner drink! We were seated in a nice booth towards the back of the restaurant and ordered the LOCAL GRASS-FED BEEF MEATBALLS to split with the table. We also ordered the COLORADO NEW FASHIONED (BOTTLE) for the table - for $30, we got 4 servings (size of our party) which was a pretty good deal. It was an OK old fashioned - the peaches were the selling point, but seemed to be frozen/freezer burned when we ate them? Wouldn't get the bottle again. For food, two of us got the nightly special, a Hungarian beef stew. It was solid, could have used more salt/seasoning and was a little runny. The sauerkraut/pickled veggies that came on the side were MUCH too salty. However, for the price, it was a solid dish. My husband got the CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH and CRISPY CRUSHED POTATOES. The sandwich was fine - solid price for a fried sandwich at a restaurant, but I wasn't a huge fan of the seasoning itself on the chicken. I think the crispy potatoes were by far one of the best things we ate all night. They were perfectly crispy and seasoned. For dessert, we ended up sharing carrot cake and sticky toffee pudding for the table. I love love love carrot cake - the frosting was delicious but the cake itself was a little lackluster (dense, not overly flavorful). Both were delivered at the same time. The salad is HUGE & I thought it would be more of a side salad. So, I ate the Curry first when it was warm (it wasn't hot) & then went back to my salad. Treelike Kitchen was a wonderful stop for dinner on our weekend to Leadville! Our friends we dined with had been there before and highly recommended Treeline and I can definitely see why with their unique offerings, friendly staff, and fun (family friendly) atmosphere. They were even able to accommodate 4 adults, a baby, and a kiddo on short notice with making a reservation a few hours before when resy said they were all booked. I tried their soup special while my husband ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. We also shared some Crab Wontons. I'm honestly intrigued by the fact this restaurant has so many great reviews. The food was easily a 4/10. To start, the beets were simple and fine - beets marinated in vinegar. The cheesy bread was tasteless and the dipping sauce to accompany had a strange pungent bitter tone to it. The crab wontons were unseasoned and the dipping sauce was simply bizarre and made me feel a bit nauseous. The ribs had an interesting peppery sauce with it, but the ribs itself were fatty, with the side of Mac and cheese as dry as a bone that had been picked apart by vultures. The vegetable "curry" was more like boiled chickpeas and smashed squash, with a measly serving of water that was used to boil the vegetables. At no point did I taste curry or flavor. It was simply boiled water. The naan could have been great, but nothing to dip it in. Frankly, the most appetizing part of the meal was my daughters buttered noodles. The suggested tip of tip on tax was interesting, last I understood we weren't served tax. We were starving, driving from Aspen, so we ate what we could. But as we were turning the corner to leave Leadville, the sight of subway, for the first time in my life, I thought "gee subway would've been incredible compared to what we just ate." Hate to give bad reviews to a nice local place, but I would advise going to high mountain pies, Quincy's, or heck, even subway if super hungry in Leadville. read more

Tree Line is about as good as it gets in Leadville . I eat their multiple times back to back days in fact. The dinner specials keep the menu fresh and everything is delicious. Decent dinner spot for a variety of American foods in Leadville. I ordered the Leadville Lamb Pasta ($22) - the pasta was pretty good, but there was not too much lamb and just a lot of tomatoes. It was also a bit watery and could use some more flavor. The goat cheese on there was pretty good though. I also got the Creamed Spinach Greens ($6), which were pretty tasty. For dessert, I tried the Chocolate Mousse ($7), which was definitely the best part of the meal. The mousse was really light and fluffy with a delicious cocoa flavor and was not overly sweet. The prices were generally quite reasonable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The service speed was rather quick. There is a nice indoor seating area with lots of seating along with a nice outdoor seating out front with a fire pit. We had to wait for 15 min to be seated on a Thursday night. I would give Treeline Kitchen 3.5 stars if I could, but will bump it up to 4 stars because of the nice environment and bonus points for the fire pit outside the entrance. read more

Treeline has me committed to coming back to Leadville asap! Everyone who works here is extremely friendly and kind, the food and drinks are delicious and the location is one of the best in town. We stopped here to try and grab a reservation on a busy weekend night and the team did what the could to squeeze us in later in the evening (we got there at opening). While we were there we grabbed bar seats and enjoyed drinks and the cornbread which was fantastically delicious. Everyone was kind enough to allow us to bring drinks outside to enjoy the Pride parade too! When we came back later that evening for dinner, it was so hard to choose what to try with so many great sounding options on the menu. I ended up with the crab wontons and blackened cod. I really enjoyed the crab wontons, the sauce was different than what you may normally have with wontons but really nice. The blackened cod is an absolute star. The seasoning was great, fish cooked perfectly, and a really good size portion. Don't believe that you won't get good fish just because you're in a landlocked state and up at 11,000ft! We were here for my friends wedding reception! The vibe on the inside is very cozy and the room that was rented felt like a warm mountain lodge. The servers were fast and efficient and able to adapt to different diet restrictions of the people there which I greatly appreciate. As a vegan it was very nice that the menu was labeled so I knew what was safe to eat. I will say I wish there was more than curry as an entree that's vegan. The main vegan things are side dishes. As far as the side dishes I got I will say I am very pleased. I thought the sides would be small in size but they were great serving sizes and I really only needed one side. I loves the squash it was rich and filling without being heavy and the pumpkin seeds added a nice crunch. The potato's were FABULOUS there were garlic cloves in the potato's and they were so tasty. On the plus side, I really enjoyed my cocktail (the moscow mule a get a bottle to share among your party.). Our waitress was also super nice; my parents were handing out googly eyes among our group because they had just seen everything everywhere all at once and our waitress humored them by putting it on her shirt. She also patiently explained the menu to both sides of our table so that all of us could hear everything. An excellent restaurant located in Leadville with a variety of fresh offerings. I had the black cod with a side and salad that was well prepared and very tasty. My guests enjoyed their steaks and salads. Service was friendly and attentive, with appetizers delivered and enjoyed prior to the main course (so many servers these days bring all the food at once). My hubby and I tried the pomegranate lavender virgin margarita and the grapefruit virgin margarita, both were delicious but we wish to have received more for the price. Refreshing. The Mac and cheese was ok. The carrot cake was well made, I appreciate the variety of ingredients- pecans, raisins and lots of carrot. Frosting was balanced too. WORKSPACE REVIEW: Not only does the Treeline seem like a great dinner spot but it also functions as a co-working space during the business day! It opens at 8:30 and only costs $12 a person for a day pass. Our experience was great here. There is tons of space, not to mention a secret upstairs area that is so quiet and relaxing (with a nice comfy couch!) Upstairs was a bit chilly in the morning but it quickly warmed up. Margaret was super nice and showed us around when we got there. She also brought fresh coffee upstairs along with bottles of water if anyone wanted any. The atmosphere, the servers, as well as the food is all top quality and is sourced from local sources. The drinks are very unique and they all give it just enough of that good alcohol flavor to make you feel refreshed, yet have a good buzz after.
