Treat is a cute little cookie and cake shop in Vintage Park. I stopped by for a nice snack after dinner. There are so many unique cupcakes and cookies to choose from. I bought sugar cookies, banana nut cookie and a coconut macaroon. My favorite was the banana nut cookie. It was so moist and cake like, the way I like my cookies. My 3yr old niece had the confetti cupcake to which she ate all the sprinkles and part of the icing but none of the cupcake this has nothing to do with the place she only ever eats icing lol. My crème brûlée was good but I probably would try something different next time. I have been coming to Treat ever since it first came to Vintage Park,when there was only really Coco's Crepes,Peli Peli and Treat. I have loved their cupcakes for the longest time,and in my opinion,they still are. I have never been to a place where I liked the icing as much as I do here at Treat. Smallcakes and Crave,I usually end up scraping off the icing and just eating the cake. I've seen them expand from their first smaller location to their current bigger one,and add cake pops,big cookies,brownies and macarons.....at one point I came in there twice a week. I've gotten my dog a Pupcake for her birthday ever since they added them to their menu,and she loves them! Why this good review and missing one star? Eddie, thank you for liking one of my pics. That reminded me I needed to do a review. I am really shocked that I haven't done a review on this place yet. The cupcakes here are exceptionally good. I have had a German chocolate and a few others. These are a great alternative for clients friends families birthdays etc. Everything is pretty fresh and taste really good. Since Eddie like my pic that reminded me about them. I kind of forgot about them unfortunately. I'm not sure why. May because the parking in vintage is kind of tough. Love the above and beyond service. I stopped by looking for a very last minute gender reveal cupcake for a vegan friend. They have some unfrosted vegan cupcakes in the back and were able to fill one with the requested color for me and with vegan frosting of choice! I walked out of the store into Texas Summer heat and the frosting melted instantly. They made me another one and wouldn't let me pay for it. I also picked up a few cupcakes. All of them were so good. Crème Brûlée cupcake was my favorite, so delicious. I will return for more! read more

I have been going to this bakery for many years and today I decided I wanted a tiramisu cupcake knowing it was traffic hour. After spending almost an hour in traffic, I arrived to Treat and there were no more Tiramisu cupcakes. Stephanie was so kind and generous to make me two cupcakes. Probably some of the best cupcakes in Houston. They're not TOO sweet or overpowering in any way. They are perfect! Oreo cookie and Strawberry are my top 2 for sure! The also have Pupcakes for dogs! The people that work there are always so nice and helpful, and it is in such a cute part of the vintage area, with a perfect placement between boutiques and restaurants. Not to shabby. I was not impressed with the strawberry cupcake or the vanilla cake. It's not my type of vanilla cake. The death by chocolate was amazing. It was the perfect chocolate cake. Very moist! Parking is right outside their store, 15 min parking. The cashier was kind and helpful. She helped us make decisions. I paid $15 for 4 cupcakes. I felt that was very reasonable. The place where I always go when I'm trying to make a good impression... the cupcakes here are soooo beautiful made, it looks like they came out of a Disney movie; my favorite one is the 24 carrot cupcake, it's sooo good, it's not dry, it's not annoying sweet, it's just perfect, also, I just found out that they have vegan cupcakes, sadly they only seem to have two flavors which are vanilla and chocolate, I turned vegan not that long ago so I really hope they bring more awesome flavors to our side, oh also let's not forget about your pets!!! They have little cup cupcakes for you to take one to your dog, they are adorable, my dog loves them!!!! The costumer service here is fenomenal!!! I love the crème brûlée cupcake, unfortunately they close at 745 instead of actually at 8pm. I drive a ways and got there right at 745 and the door was open. Got out the car and I was literally parked in front of the building and unfortunately they had locked the door. My kids were so disappointed, especially since they saw the door open as we parked. Wonderful cupcakes and customer service! We stopped in to order cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and they were extremely helpful in making sure I got exactly what I wanted. We ordered strawberry and 14 karat gold cupcakes and both were amazing! My favorite though was the creme brûlée. Oh my goodness! I had one that day and one again when I picked up the cupcakes. I also got a small cake for the party and it stayed moist for a few days until it was gone. This is my new go to place for desserts! I was nearby and searched "dessert" on my Yelp app. And boom, this place popped up with some good looking pics. So, I walked around the corner. I must admit: for some reason, I had some trepidation in my heart. I'm thinking it's because I love dessert and great customer service, and I just did not want to be disappointed. Upon entry, the shop is cute, and it's clear that they also have several items for your pooch too! During my visit, I was the only one there. That's always an unsettling feeling at a dessert shop--who doesn't love [good] sugar!!! Either way, the lady was very friendly and tried to make herself available. I stuck with the pic that enticed me and an ol' standby: campfire and red velvet. I at the campfire there (inside, there's a bit of bar with about 4 stools). campfire was ooey, gooey, and moist. However, the red velvet just didn't do it for me when I got home. If you're looking for fluff and a clearly creamy cream cheese frosting, this ain't it. The cake is dense and the icing just wasn't reminiscent of red velvet enough for me. I thought it was going to be similar to Celebrity Cupcake's smore cupcake; however, this was much better and much friendlier... I may return for the campfire and a few dog cupcakes, but I'll stick to a couple of other places for red velvet. read more

Unfortunately, I was unimpressed with the quality and value of their cupcakes/pupcakes. The cupcakes were super sweet and $4+ each for cupcakes that are shy of 4 inches in diameter. The pupcake I ordered for my little guy was stone hard...like it had been sitting out for days. I had trouble cutting it with a knife and again, it was $4+ for a very small pupcake. Even my little guy did not care to finish it because of the texture. I did enjoy the oatmeal cookie. It was moist and large enough to justify the price. I really wanted to enjoy them because another local bakery runs out of pupcakes early in the day. MR says... delicious icing! MRS says... first impression, the showcase of cupcakes seems too flashy and fancy BUT they do deliver. Presentation = Tasty cupcakes!!! They have one or two of the best tasting cupcakes I've ever tried. It is fitting to showcase their cupcakes in a very elegant way because the quality and taste of it are fitting for royalty.
