What can you say...its small but it has a little of everything (almost)...NO SALES TAX!

I like saving money. This place is ok. Customer service could be approved upon though.

Nice and convenient while living on base however even with no sales tax most of their items are over priced and you can get cheaper elsewhere even with tax. read more

I work here in the store in the powerzone, should I write a review? Yes why not. I've been here working on this base for 5 years, and been coming on this base since I was born. I've seen a lot of changes to the bowling alley, basketball courts, the gym, and now the Travis Main exchange. The change is definitely for the better, the store looks A LOT better after the renovation, the entire building has been updated finally from the 70s lol I'm proud to say that I work here serving the military and even some family friends that my dad known after 20years in the Air Force. There are some bad reviews and some good. Since working in the powerzone I will mostly give you my opinion on the electronics side. Apple: since everyone and their mother(literally) comes here for apple products there are some miscommunication about when and how we get our apple products. Yes we do get apple products the day it comes out, we have gotten the iPad 2,iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, Mac mini, iPhone 5 the day it comes out. We are 10 dollars cheaper and you don't pay the tax! That makes us the cheapest and if we are not... We do price match local stores like best buy, Walmart, target ect. Within 50miles, so from sac to San Francisco. Now since EVERYONE knows this we can and do run out of certain popular models of the iPads and even all the iPads. So if we are out please keep giving us a call to save you a trip to see if we have any more, and we are able to place a 24-hour hold on items. So it will be waiting for you when you get here! TVs: now there are countless of models and bundles of TVs out there but safe to say we have a TV set for just about everyone. Want a 19inch LED TV for your kitchen? We have it. Want a 32 inch? We have 6 models! Want a massive 80inch LED to make your neighbors jealous? We also have it as well! Our prices are usually competitive if not better than most places, some price cuts are so low you have to jump on it! Now keep In mind we do price match, if you find a tv cheaper somewhere else, and have no ad PLEASE TAKE A PICTURE OF THE SIGN WITH THE MODEL NUMBER AND THR PRICE OF TV CLEARLY DISPLAYED it makes our life so much easier and your time shopping here will be much more enjoyable! We have Sony, sharp, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, isymphony, toshiba, seiki, Westinghouse, Phillips. So our selection is great! We have a huge 100+ foot TV wall that range in sizes from 19-80 inches so you can find anything you want. Misc: we have a lot of TV stands, home theaters, keyboards, all in one computers, laptops, cameras, tablets, iPads, iPods, sound bars, Blu rays, DVDs, CDs, printers, iPad cases, portable chargers! Cac card readers, flash drives, external hdd, graphic cards, ps3, Xbox, wii,wii u, newest games on launch date, EVERYTHING. I actually like our electronic department better than walmarts honestly because coming from our electronic department and going to walmart, their electronic department is so small and limited. Plus I always see an angry customer yelling about a TV lol idk y. If you been here before thank you for giving us your business and supporting MWR. FOR THOSE who had a bad experience please come back and I'm sure it will be a lot better this time. Black Friday will be really epic this year since its our first since the grand opening $999 for a 60" sharp TV anyone? And that's not even our best deal! PROS: No tax. No surcharge. A wonderful place to spend money. I love how I have the option to have my receipts e-mailed to me. They have a food court and other vendors within the area. Lots of places to park. CONS: Customer service sucks. Instance #1: Most of the staff seem to be unfamiliar with a lot of the promos that are going on. I have a military star card and there was a promo going on that I became aware of because it was constantly being advertised on their radio. I inquired with customer service and one of the cashiers and was told that no such promo was going on. I heard the promo being advertised again and told them that it was broadcasting on their radio every 5 min. or so. Finally got help when the supervisor cleared it with customer service. Very disappointing. That promo was going on for a while and I overheard the cashiers talking amongst each other (in Tagalog - very rude btw in front of a customer) feeling bad because a lot of their customers that could have availed of the promo didn't because the cashiers weren't aware of it. Please work on communication with your staff across all departments. Instance #2: Some staff seem to need more training. Bought something to be delivered to my house and was misinformed that the company delivering to us would also help us set up. Did not happen. Instance #3: Called and spoke with customer service a couple of days ago to inquire about their price match policy. I asked if they ever price matched with any other store and was cut off and promptly told that they don't do it and they never have. I asked again to make sure because I've shopped at another BX in a different location and they do price match as long as you provide an ad and it's in stock. The woman I spoke with over the phone said they only price match to their webpage online - that's it. I found out a couple of days later that I was misinformed AGAIN. Customer service lacks etiquette and should be kept up to date with everything that is going on throughout the store. I've had a lot of undesirable experiences interacting with customer service here. I hardly ever bother asking for assistance anymore. read more

This review is just based on the food court, not the BX itself. The food court is DISGUSTING after 6 pm during the week...hard to find a table that is clean, garbage all over the floor..Somebody needs to clean this place! (The BX itself is very nice and well kept) read more

One of the nicer BX's I've been too. Looks like it had recently been remodeled. Their PowerZone is huge compared to other newer BX's. They had a really good selection of TV's in the back. It was swamped when I went since it was the week before Christmas, but they still had a decent selection on most things. The food court had the standard AAFES fair. Overall it was a really nice BX. read more

Not bad. Definitely not the best exchange I have been to but certainly not the worst either. They do have a nice selection of cosmetics, home wares, electronics and every day items. I was not overly impressed with their shoe selection but no one is perfect right? Staff is extremely nice. If you need assistance they are on top of it. Such a great Exchange! Way better then the one I was at last! I think this place is great, always clean never a problem! The furniture selection?Oh my! So much to chose from!! And purses? Yes there are plenty! Makeup? You feel like you are at a normal make up store with their make up bars and selection! AAFES customer service in general sucks. As a retired person I expect to not be disrespected and treated like I'm putting the employee out for having to do his or her job. But that's what seems to be the standard at the BX. I just hope I don't see a civilian employee mistreat some person in uniform disrespectfully. I'll lose my mind. I'm hoping with all the troops coming home in the near future that AAFES will have huge layoffs so those young men and women can get a job. They're customer service would have to be better. Other than that I love shopping on base. Prices are good and the product inventory is good. I just wish AAFES would do something about their employees. Maybe some training? Reviews? It has almost everything and at such a reasonable price. I am always drawn to the MK handbags and make uo. They are special priced even if I do save a few dollars a dollar saved is a dollar saved! And we dont live on base but we come here as often as we can!!!! read more

Food court is great here. If we come as a family, we can all choose what we feel like. Shopping is good for some things. As far as clothing, I have bought some great things at great prices, but then there are some things that I am just shocked at the price. Shoes seem pricey. I was able to get a much better deal at the New Balance outlet in Vacaville. This is a big place and I do like that there are larger selections in each department than some other exchanges. read more

Yesterday, i went to class SIX to buy some beer. The cashier was busy assisting a group of older people with their wine selection. Finally it was my turn. I was all alone in the store with the cashier- just him and i. He scanned the product and asked for my payment. WITH NO HESITATION, DIDNT CARD ME ( i look like im right out of highschool,but yes i am over 21.) This sort of moral bankruptcy is what contributes to the young Airmen drinking underage. and later on get into trouble. read more

OH MY GOODNESS BEST SERVICE EVER. I bought perfume and was paying at the jewelry counter and the people were so kind and extremely helpful. Christina was especially sweet and went above and beyond!!! I am extremely happy with the service I received and will be now shopping there regularly from now on. read more

Last visit included watching two employees at powerzone play on their phones while I waited to be helped. I gave them the benefit of the doubt they may have been looking something up for work/customer but after seeing one employee show the other IG photos (that's how close I was) I asked "are you on break or working?" (Sorry not the nicest tone but my pregnancy hormones kinda took over in that moment). But in the end the guy was helpful. read more

To the Food Court Manager should give all his/her employee and training not to chew a gum or eating while they preparing food and not to chat to much to there co-worker and get they jobs done on the busy hours. read more

I got to say the Travis AFB Base Exchange is my kind of store. It may not beat Walmart for pricing, not much does, but for customer satisfaction and quality of merchandise it can't be beat. OK, enough positive pats on the back, let's get to my bitch. The FOOD COURT, YUK,YUK DOUBLE YUK, not the food the cleanliness of the place. Maybe it's because I don't get there till the afternoon (16:00 - 18:00). I have found most tables are dirty, floors with spills, trash on tables and floors, no hand sanitizer, and no napkins in dispensers. What's up with this. When we go to the food court we clean our own table and seat, while trying to not get one with the least trash under it. The beverage dispenser area is usually dirty with spilled soft drink which is drying due to the amount of time it had been there, lacking covers for cups and or all strewn together with dried beverage spots on them, condiment bins missing adequate supplies. Come-on people, we that use this area should pick up after ourselves and the FOOD COURT should be responsible for the supplies and a healthy area. read more
