Amazing, it's been I don't know how many years since I dropped into a Bath and body Works. Last time I went, I was bored. The scents seemed garish and artificial. I couldn't think of any good reason why I wanted a room fragrance. There was no way I was going to put those scents on my skin or hair. It turned out, I was also allergic to some of the fragrances and I ended up leaving rather quickly. Back then, I thought the store could be eradicated, and it would be entirely beneficial for the human race. This time it seemed like it was a whole new store. They've updated their collection and have excluded Phthalates, sulfates, and parabens. This change seems to have done the trick for me. I no longer found the fragrances repulsive, and it didn't kick off any allergy attacks. With that massive collection of products, the fragrances were still overwhelming, even though they were pleasant. It was rather hard to actually determine which product smelled like what because it was scent chaos in there. They could've used a lot more ventilation. Although I have no plans to ever scent my rooms or add even more scented products, these fragrances were pleasant enough that I could see giving them as gifts. I would say I'm still not completely sold on the store but at least these days I don't think they should be burned down to the ground. Aside from my dismal opinion of the products, the store is quite nice. It's neatly organized, beautifully stocked, plenty spacious enough for a crowd of shoppers. The staff people were attentive and pleasant, greeting everyone who entered the store. If I had cared more about the products, I would definitely have enjoyed shopping here. So four stars for the store. Since the store does not control their products, I'll leave out my opinion of the actual stuff. read more

I visited this Bath & Body Works today and left feeling really uncomfortable. When I walked into the store, none of the employees greeted me or acknowledged me at all. I stood near the entrance for a moment expecting the usual welcome you get when entering most Bath & Body Works stores, but it never happened. Right after I walked in, two Caucasian women came in behind me and were immediately greeted with a friendly welcome. The difference in treatment was very noticeable and made me feel singled out and unwelcome. The employees working who I believe were named Tanya and Marie were the ones at the front during this interaction. As a customer, it's disappointing to feel ignored while others are acknowledged right away. I've shopped at Bath & Body Works many times and usually have positive experiences, but this interaction left a bad impression. Every customer deserves to be treated with the same level of respect and acknowledgment when they walk into a store. I hope management takes this seriously and makes sure all customers are welcomed equally. read more

I couldn't help but notice in Bath & Body works at the outlets it seemed so friendly. I walked in and it was quiet and it didn't occur to me that no one said anything until everyone after me was not only greeted but there was someone to speak to them about the specials and find out if they needed help. I had no idea what I was looking for and just kept walking around and still no one spoke to me. Even when I got up to the cashier even she didn't say hello. It was very sad. From the Cucumber Melon to Pearberry to Plumeria days- Bath and Body Works has definitely evolved and has something for everyone in there. Even your Pets! There are candle scents galore, small antibacterial pick ups, home scents (yay wallflowers) and men's items including cologne. Sales can be great and the selection is endless. There is always someone that greets you and by the way, if you want hand soap, you can try some immediately at their sink area. I recently came for stocking stuffers and gifts. Join their rewards program if you're into that. I'm glad there is a store local to me and I don't have to drive too far. read more

The workers here are so friendly, eager to help, and efficient! When there is a long line they react quickly and jump on registers. When you have a question they answer it and give great suggestions. I've had workers come and offer me to try products which was fun and I've never had that happen at another store. Sometimes the store feels on the small side and does get crowded but the workers positive attitude and organization helps things run smoothly. read more

I've always been a big fan of "Bath & Body Works" as their level of customer service, selection, and experience with every visit has been an above average one. Many of their stores are in shopping malls but they also have locations at smaller shopping centers. This particular store which happens to be on the less frequented side of the Vacaville Outlets has everything you need and much, much more. I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 6/17/2023 at around 4:45pm. One unique thing about this store is that they offer deeper discounts than their regular stores; mainly because outlets have a ton of discontinued items. As soon as I entered this store, I was greeted by a "HELLO, would you like a shopping basket?". Since I knew I would be buying quite a few items, I gladly accepted. The overall layout of this store is quite impressive as they offer a vast amount of candles, lotions, car air fresheners, shower gels, hand sanitizers, wash clothes, and much more. And speaking of candles, directly at the main entrance was a sale on their 3-wick candles for only $11.95; a very good deal if you're purchased their candles before. As I mentioned, there are deals everywhere that are better than your typical Bath & Body Works store. Some of the discounts run anywhere from 20-75% off on certain items. I even scored some amazing shower gels (coconut & vanilla mocha martini scents) at 75% off which brought it down from $13.50 to just under $4.00 including tax! As I mentioned, the customer service here was well above average as many of the employees genuinely enjoy working here as they seemed very enthusiastic in helping each and every customer. With that said and done, I am going to give the Vacaville "Bath & Body Works" an above average 4-star rating. Definitely give this place a try; I can almost guarantee that you'll leave with something. read more

Our favorite time of year! They have the most festive fragrances of lotions and soaps. Some of the classic, oldie but goodie scents and also a few new ones that we haven't seen/smelled before. This location is really spacious. And clean!! It's super easy to get distracted with eye candy. They just released the Christmas night light/plug in fragrances. The sales associate was kind enough to pause her stocking so she could show us the message that displays on the wall when you plug in the scented light...really cute "Season's Greetings." As we continued to browse, other associates are also polite enough to check if you need anything. We indeed were looking for a certain fragrance as a body cream, which wasn't on the shelf, and she literally went to the stock room to see if any came in. We enjoyed our shopping experience here. I've told myself to go in the store and not order online because they are constantly messing things up. Went to buy 50% off 3-wick candles during their semi-annual sale. I went in the afternoon and they were only allowing a certain number of customers inside the store at a time. I waited in a line outside behind three other people. The wait was not long. Masks are required in order to enter. The employee outside the store was welcoming and greeted customers; pointed out that hand sanitizer is available to use upon entering as you come in. Upon entering, the store looked downsized and reorganized. In my opinion, the quantity of candles displayed is ALOT less than prior to COVID. Due to the pandemic and social distancing guidelines, not many sales associates were on the floor to assist customers as in the past. I understand and proceeded to pick out my candles. I bought the Frosted Sugar Cookie, Cinnamon Sugared Donut, White Caramel Cold Brew and Some Bunny Loves You. I love the coffee/sweet smelling candles. The cold brew I already previously bought; the others are new to me so I'm giving them a try. So far they smell nice. My fave is Paris Cafe and can't wait until this is on sale! The display cases in front of the cashiers where they have the mini sizes for gifts, hand sanitizers, lotions, spray, etc., are empty. The minus star is due to their checkout lines. There were two lines and three cashiers. With a number of people in both lines, there wasn't an employee to direct which customer goes to what cashier. The next customers in both lines ready to pay had to sort of gesture at each other to see who'd like to pay next. Employees sanitize the card machine and counter after each customer leaves the register. I think BBW is gearing towards more bath and body products than candles now. I hope this isn't the case. Kind of sad as this is the main reason I shop at the store. I like to see what new candles are out and smell the different scents rather than buy them online and pay a shipping fee. read more

This particular Bath & Body Works is basically the only store I go to on the west plaza of the outlets and it's my go-to place for candles, lotions, and soaps! Parking usually isn't too bad unless it's a busy weekend, but steer clear when Black Friday rolls around. You'll never have to pay the regular price since they always have some kind of sale going on and since they email and mail coupons all the time. Last weekend they had a sale on all soaps - only $2.50/ea including all the holiday scents like roasted marshmallow, frosted cranberry, flannel, etc. The scents that we always stock are Kitchen Lemon and Rosewater Ivy, but there's always something new that I find that I just have to have. Keep an eye out for candle sales when they're down to $10/ea cause that's a great time to stock up! Even the room sprays can get down to $3-4/ea and those last months! Just one spray and the whole room is filled with whatever scent you choose. read more

This review is for Erika at Bath and Body Works in Vacaville. I hope management/corporate sees this and can take appropriate action. I had an interaction with Erika yesterday that needs to be addressed. Let me start by saying I'm quite literally a Bath and Body Works addict, I am just obsessed with the brand and spending time in their stores checking out everything and spending way too much money on a regular basis. I visited the store yesterday on my lunch break to exchange 3 candles I had received in my most recent shipment. The young lady helping me did not ask how I wanted to process the exchange and decided to refund them to the original card as I shopped for my 3 replacement candles. When I returned to the register with my 3 candles, Erika was now helping me, and I was asked to pay for them out of pocket and wait for the return to go on my card. I had never heard of this policy as I typically have the best experience with exchanges at B+BW and just swap out for like items, but this new policy wouldn't usually have been a problem except for this particular order I had used a gift card. When I expressed this to her, she was immediately defensive and kept making slighted comments back to me- not apologetic at all, just snarky and seemed bothered by my questions. After going in the back hastily to ask someone else how I would receive the refund if it went back onto a gift card I no longer have, she came back out and told me it would send me an email in the next 48 hours. I then asked if anyone could override it since I was there to exchange and did not want to have to make another trip to the store in 2 days for the same reason I was already there, and she cut me off and loudly said for everyone in line/the store to hear "you don't have to yell". My jaw about hit the floor, I was mortified. Not only had I been speaking at a low volume and completely calmly, she had been the one with an aggressive attitude and had a much larger volume than I did the entire interaction. This was just absolutely unacceptable. No customer should ever be accosted this way, I really have no words and from now on will have to call the store to ensure she is not working before I feel comfortable returning. All the employees in this location have always been a dream to work with, theyre so pleasant and helpful and I love chatting with them- but B+BW missed the mark with Erika. I am praying their camera capture audio so they can review this and confirm what I am saying in order to take appropriate action with her. She then told me she was a manager and as I walked away from the counter was speaking badly about me so loudly I could hear her as I walked out the front door. I will be calling corporate's store feedback line today so that they may also investigate. I know we all have bad days sometimes, but to gaslight a paying customer- shame on her. read more

I am so upset that I don't even know who I should contact first. My son bought me a 3 wick "Gingham" candle during the holidays. We have lit it a couple if times. Well, today he lit the candle which was on the dining room table and a short time later, he heard a "POP". He jumped up and didn't see anything, at first! He laid down on the couch to watch tv and smelled something bad..my son's hat was on fire and so was my table cloth. The pop he heard was the candle shooting off something and caused a fire. Thankfully my son and daughter were ok but my dining room table is destroyed along with my son's hat. I feel the candles from this store pose a great danger. I need to take this to a higher level and inform the better business bureau. Do Not buy candles from this chain. read more

Even when I asked a rep a question she rudely answered, basically telling me she didn't know. The cashier that checked me out was really friendly, however. Stopped in to the store because I was low on my smell goods. I live in Sacramento but often visit the Vacaville outlets. I was greeted at the door, and assisted by at least three ladies who offered incredible opinions on the recent fragrances available. One employee in particular, was very helpful. (I hope I spell her name correctly) Tamara, took a little time to get inquire about past purchases and my favorite scents. Then she suggested I try one of the new fragrances, Fresh Coconut & Cotton. I'm usually not a big fan of coconut, but I adore this scent. So, I picked up the shower gel, body cream and fragrance mist. There was set I purchased around Christmas and was looking for that. Tamara explained it was a seasonal fragrance and was no longer available, but did offer a few similar alternative choices. I really appreciate that she took time to get to know me and it helped me find a new body wash I am in love with. Her customer service made me feel like a VIP! Thank you, Tamara. I had two online coupons emailed to me to use in my account, as well as an e-gift card to utilize at checkout. I am so blessed to have worked with Emily Larson when purchasing my products. I was sincerely beyond frustrated trying to find the coupons and gift card in my phone. She was patient, and extremely helpful. I only come here when they are having their semi annual sale or when they discontinue a product they can sell it for up to 70% off. My fav is the pure paradise lotion. It's unfortunate that they no longer offer the $10 off w/ a purchase of $30 or more that is printed on the receipt and all you need to is fill out their survey online or by phone and you get a confirmation number at the end of the survey and you can bring it in the next time you visit the store again if you are purchasing over $30 and all you need to do is show the cashier and they will apply the discount. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this chain. Sometimes the aromas are much too strong, but the ones I like I really really like. And then you fall in love with a particular scent and when you come back to buy one more bottle of the stuff, it's already been discontinued. Moral of the story is.... buy what you like and buy one extra, just in case. They always seem to have some sort of weird convoluted sale on - buy 1, get 2 at 15% off, or buy 1 and get 1 smaller sized version for free, or whatever. They are creative, I'll give them that, but this store, as another shopper mentioned, is not really an outlet with any more bargains than any other BBW. Sometimes the sales girls are a little pushy, but what I read as pushy may read to someone else as friendly, so I'll just let it go. I'm not sure if this is actually an outlet. Another Yelp reviewer mentioned that it's just a normal Bath and Body Works, and from my experience, it definitely seemed that way. It had all the usual products; nothing seemed different here. However they had different sales than the SF one, so I'm not sure if the sales run on a regional or store-by-store basis. I came with someone who was looking for candles and the SF branch didn't have any specials on offer, but this location had a 2 for $20 deal on, so who knows. This location is pretty big too, so if you like this shop, you'd probably find what you're looking for here. read more

My mother in law came in to shop and the girls that work here know her and didn't apply her unexpired coupon just because of their own personal issues they have with her. Every customer should be treated the same shouldn't they? I used to work at a BBW location myself and that is not how associates should treat customers and we are trained to treat everyone the same no matter what. All items are regularly priced and even the sales aren't that great unless you come at the end of the season, so just stick to your normal BaBW in the mall and don't waste your time driving here if you don't have to. The sales rep who was on the floor literally gave me a look up and down (twice, actually. I guess I looked like I didn't have money that day, despite having bags in hand) and when she decided that I wasn't up to snuff rudely brushed by me and helped someone else. Not only was she dismissive and rude she was incredibly loud and obnoxious and I could hear her asking the lady she was assisting personal questions I could tell she was uncomfortable.
