Hyegraph crushed it, they generated the most advanced wedding invitation our high-end friends had ever seen. We received many compliments on our invitation, and it set the tone for a great wedding. Jacque was a pleasure to work with and delivered strong personalized service that is rare in today's world.

I didn't actually have a receipt, but I did have the credit transaction in the app on my phone. And the employee at the register replaced the pen, just like that. In and out in five minutes. Excellent customer service! I unfortunately failed to ask the gentleman's name, but it was around 10 am on a Friday. I love this place, and I hope they never go under.

Prices might be higher than a big box store but not overly expensive. Some of the merchandise was priced in-line with what I've seen elsewhere. It was a delightful time strolling through the aisles. If we lived in San Francisco, and nearby, I'd be a regular customer.

I don't have to wait for SJ made to come around any more! I picked up some cute cards, stickers, and the viral build a room using stickers sticker sheet. I barely made it past the cards and stickers after 30 minutes. The items are a bit pricy but that's the general trend of stickers and cards from smaller creators. I like that this location has items from local small businesses and artists too. I know SJ Made gets fisted in Bay Area and there's not as much space and many recurring events, so having physical spots to purchase and support these creatives is great. There's stickers, special paper, journals and journaling tools, writing and drawing utensils, sticky notes, ink and fancy ink pens, planners, and much, much more, including little trinkets, gifts, blind boxes, keychains, etc. So you can get something for yourself or you can get something as a gift for someone else. It can get a bit pricey though. With some small notebooks being $10 and a fancier keychain being around $20. Really depends on what you're looking at, how high quality it is, if it's imported in, etc. Staff can get swamped helping customers check out, but they'll do their best to answer your questions!

Their large hardcover notebooks are absolutely my preferred medium for journaling, and it's such fun seeing them laid out. To the right of the space you have the pens, backpacks, and sale section; to the left, planners, and two aisles in the center with artist supplies and limited edition releases. Writing is a wonderfully sensory experience, so it's lovely to have floor samples out for you to touch and experience before you commit. They also carry their line of smart notetaking tools in the front of the store (which I wish were sold separately, but that's a separate conversation). Alex, the store manager, is passionate about Moleskine and is happy to explain the different kinds of customizations available. In one of my two visits during my work trip, he was diligently working on embossing a custom logo with iridescent foil to a corporate order - very neat! This is a great option for teams looking for branded gear. I think most know this, but while Moleskine is one of higher quality stationers, their prices often reflect this. However, if you are an avid/regular notetaker you will find it well worth your while. Personally, I love the collaboration with Kaweco pens - managed to snag the final Lord of the Rings ballpoint; sorry if anyone had their sights set on that, haha. Couldn't help but also come home with the Casa Battlo notebook (discounted!) as well as the limited edition Legolas/Gimli journal, which I haven't seen in bookstores.

[Parking]: There are two parking garages within a few blocks away from the store - The Main Garage (1610 Geary Boulevard) and The Fillmore Annex Garage (1650 Fillmore Street). Parking rate = $5 per hour from 12 PM to 6 PM and $3 per hour outside of those hours. I got lucky and was able to find metered parking spots near the intersection of Buchanan St and Sutter St (free on Sunday). [What to Expect]: The store has a really large selection of origami paper. In addition, it also carries 3D / 2D stickers, classic Japanese art prints, noshi envelopes, handcrafted pressed-flower cards, adult anime T-shirts, coloring / origami books, socks, stationery, fabrics for furoshiki, etc. There is also a sign stating "Beware of the Dog" with Moira (a 2-year old Irish Wolfhound) hanging out at the store. [Conclusion]: I am not sure if this shop is worth driving out of the way just to check it out unless you are a passionate origami enthusiast, but it is worth stopping by if you are already in San Francisco's Japantown. P.S. - Paper Tree used to have a sister store in Berkeley called Miki's Paper which focused on paper gallery and Japanese papers, but the shop closed after COVID.
