I was visiting the post office and came across Angels Flowers. I went in and purchased a selection for myself and went back on Friday to purchase another assortment of flowers. Amy is so great! Just tell her what you need, & she'll take care of you. When I wanted an elephant tree for my apartment, I came to Amy. When I needed flowers in a hat for a Kentucky Derby luncheon, I came to Amy. If I need flowers for a hostess, I come to Amy. When the GM from Original Joe's across the street wants or needs to dazzle clients/customers w anything flower related, he comes to Amy. I've even found chocolate cosmos here. It's a beautiful burgundy flower that actually smells like chocolate. They have a pretty short season, but it's no surprise that Amy gets them in. They always do a nice job of putting together various pretty options that are much more unique than what you'd find in a grocery store. I mostly like the expertise on what looks good together, which flowers or colors go well together, etc. The wrapping adds a nice touch too. I ordered flowers to be delivered on Mother's Day and they sent me their trash several days before. I called to ask why and was told, repeatedly, "it happens". Now that I am starting to review Angel Flowers, I kind of feel bad that I don't know the woman who runs the shop's name.... she is super nice and always helpful with making recommendations on how to keep the flowers I get fresh longer. (Did you know putting a penny in the water keeps tulips fresh longer? - just an example of one of her friendly tips). Good selection of single stems and bunches you can select yourself. She will trim and arrange for you. I spent just under $25 for a beautiful arrangement that included kangaroo paw, protea and alstromeria. She is friendly and helpful. Very nice shop. I stopped in here because of their selection out on the side walk. It was close to Valentines day so I inquired about roses. I met the two ladies that work there, Amy and Tina. We talked for a little while. They are very friendly. Tina has been in the neighborhood for a long time and knows alot about north beach. I asked if they would deliver flowers for my surprise valentines dinner at Joe DiMaggio's (read my review.) They said yes, that work with the restauarant to malke sure that flowers are there at your table fresh and waiting. I was really surprised! What awesome service! So I paid for half a dozen roses. I wasn't sure what to expect for $40. When we got there to the restaurant there was a beautiful arrangement in a glass vase waiting for us. Now that was awesome. They are fully stocked with all kinds of flowers and arrangements, cards, balloons. I highly recommend them. read more
