We stopped by TJ Maxx after lunch since it was just a few blocks up the street. It's located in the Vineyard Town Center in Morgan Hill. This store is quite large with a big selection of clothing and other household items. I found a really nice blanket with strawberries all over it. It is so soft. I also found some Valentine's Day socks. They had a nice variety of Valentine's Day items. The line at the checkout was short and fast. Customer service was great. read more

Lots of holiday gift boxes out this time of year. The shoe section for women was in the back and kind of sad, very little selection. The bedding section was also lacking, I wish they carried more sheets and duvet covers. Overall if you're into holiday decor this place has a ton of options but if you're looking for home goods they don't have much in store. You're better off going to a Home Goods. I did see they had boxed Breville espresso maker and Kitchenaid mixer which seemed like good deals, once in a while you get good deals on large kitchen appliances. read more

Ok I had to write this review cuz the staff here is super friendly. I was here pretty late (last minute shopping for a trip) and my cashier was extremely sweet, she complimented the things I bought and even made few suggestions. It felt so warm to see how genuine she was. She was being nice to everybody even though it was late. I like people like that! I'm beating myself up for not asking her name! But a big shout out to her still! Overall all the staff I've met so far are really really nice! I was looking for a dress in a different size and I asked a staff and she looked with me, which was sweet. We couldn't find one, she apologized and was very thoughtful and polite. This is my happy place for sure. The Morgan Hill location is definitely one of the better ones. If it were just a bit bigger I'd give the 5 stars, but I'll go for 4 stars since I've been to a few others that were a bit more impressive mostly due to size. Nevertheless, this one has a lot of different wonderful finds. I love coming here to get gifts for people. They've got a great collection of crystal bracelets, which is my go-to gift for this year. I also love all the collection of different journals that they sell. I wish they were guided journals, but that is okay, blank ones are just as nice to. I also love the wonderful variety of clothes they sell. I always feel like I leave with such a good deal. This is also my go-to place for very cool kitchen gear and gadgets. like 3 weeks ago I went shopping at this store and a cashier named America, apart from having a very bad mood face, behaved awful and rude, I had points in my app and I asked her to please collect the pubtps and she only said that she didn't know, for not wanting to help and was very mocking, at no time was I rude, but on the contrary I was kind and patient and she didn't want to help me, I asked another cashier and very mockingly she said okay, another girl came and helped me in a minute, I forgot to ask the name of the cashier who helped me but she was kind and did it quickly. Okay, right off the bat a TJ Maxx is a TJ Maxx. We all know the general idea -- discounted clothes, shoes ect....this TJ is a new one. I'm not sure I've seen a location this clean and organized. I'm used to them being a bit chaotic, with merchandise left in places it doesn't belong, if you've watched Sebastian Maniscalcos special on Netflix or check YouTube, about TJ Maxx you'll understand what I'm talking about. The people working here were awesome! And there wasn't much in the way of stuff on the floor. Also I'm not sure if it's because the store is new or this location is just getting better merchandise - because I actually found a great beverly hills polo club cologne blue gift box and a body spray collection set, and not the cheap generic kind, the two I found are of better value. Best bang for your buck! They had a lot of polo club scents to choose from, but I ended up getting the ones that I know will have longevity. I don't know what happened with their customer service. Went today and bought some perfumes that were on clearance and somehow when I went to pay the cashier took the clearance stickers off and charged me full price for 2 of the 3 items. Unfortunately I live 45 minutes away and didnt notice untill I got home. Called the store and Daniel was very rude about the whole thing and said he couldn't do anything over the phone that I had to go back to the store and they would see what happened. Driving all the way back for $25 is not worth it so make sure you check your receipt before you leave so the same thing doesn't happen to you. read more

Great deal on backpacks for my granddaughters. They were thrilled...all is good. And I scored some Bombas socks at half price to try.

I travel a lot for work and one of the stops I make in whatever city I'm in that week I stop at TJ Maxx. It's my favorite chain! Always finding great deals on home goods, clothing and gifts. Every location has its own level of disorganization and that's kind of to be expected of these kinds of stores. No problem! This particular store in Morgan hill is a bit more disorganized than most. That's not even what has prompted me to review this location though... My biggest issue for the last THREE times I've visited is the horrible smell of cats in the dressing room. It legit smells like a cat had its litter and is still staying in the dressing room. Now I'm allergic to cats and have a sensitive nose to it but these was absolutely an in your face smell of cat and kitty litter. I always like to try on my clothes before I purchase but with the smell lingering at this particular location for the last few visits I am going to avoid this location completely now. Growing up in BOS, TJMAXX was a staple. First place to shop, then Marshall's and Home Goods - all the same company in MA. I drive 55 miles to shop here. I wanted a specific item (wallet) walked right to the selections - a great variety of brand names and styles and prices. I found EXACTLY the wallet I wanted and in the perfect color. My guest found two watches, a wallet, and on the way to the registers, we 'browsed through' the Female Depts. She purchased three blouses, and three pair of trousers! For us combining with lunch and a quick stop at O'Henry's Donuts, we make an afternoon. There's plenty of space available in Monterey County for another TJMAXX! read more

The cost of COVID-19?? This store has very little or no customer service. I am not sure we should continue to shop here. I stopped by this afternoon and the store was busy. A good number of customers all across the store. I asked to see a watch. When I said I wanted to purchase it, would it be up front when I check out, I was told very abruptly, "No, you have to pay for it here," at the jewelry counter. I said I wanted to look around the store and pick up a few other items. Please hold it for me? She again abruptly responded by saying, "No, we don't hold anything for anyone," and put it back in the case. While looking around in the back, one employee made a point to greet every shopper in the back of the store. When I asked her later if she was the manager, she said, "No, far from it," and laughed it off. I returned to the jewelry counter with three other items. I waited while one employee took care of four other customers. When it I was my turn, I said I came back to purchase the watch. The employee took the clear plastic C-19 shield and placed it on the counter and said she would take me there. She rang up the watch and refused to include my three other items. When I asked for a bag, she responded, "we don't have any here." She never offered to go and get one. Nothing. On my way up front to get in that line, I asked another employee who the manager was and she responded, "you want to see the manager?" and walked away to the back of the store. The manager never responded. When I stepped in line up front, there were 15 customers in line and two open registers. When I finally completed my check out, the line was still that long with only one more register added, after the intercom request for "all available cashiers." Why were four customers taken care of at the jewelry counter with no shield, but I required the shield? How do they determine that? Where was the manager? Most importantly, whatever happened to decent customer service? I just moved to the town and, literally this was the first store I went to. Says a lot, doesn't it! read more

It would've been a 1 star rating if it weren't for the lovely staff member at the register. I love coming here w/ my friends & family for a nice shopping day and usually have great experiences here with fun finds. However, today I encountered the rudest, most obnoxious staff member at the fitting rooms. I have never had any of the lovely staff members tell me that I cannot take my purse (w/ my wallet, keys, etc.) in w/ me; all I'm ever told is to put up the items to be counted, and leave my cart on the side with other non clothing items. When I approached the girl working the fitting rooms, she immediately made an annoyed face at me, before giving me a smug look and telling me I can't take my bag in... to which I honestly wouldn't have minded as much if one, she wasn't speaking in an annoyed/rude tone, and two, I hadn't just gone there the day before trying on dresses, where the fitting room worker at that time let me, like everyone else, take their purse with them! When I asked her if this was a recent change, as I had just been in the day prior and was not told this, she immediately became even more annoyed and gave me attitude when responding with "oh really? Well yeah, you can't take your bag with you."... thankfully I had my friend with me to watch my bag while I went in .. but what if I hadn't? We just leave our bags with our belongings out in the open? (because I highly doubt they're going to take the time and energy to watch out for every single client's individual bag). After that horrid encounter, I went to go pay for my items, and couldn't help but ask the nice register staff, if it by chance was a new policy? To which I wouldn't have minded being informed politely, instead of the rude encounter. She responded saying that to her knowledge, everyone is allowed to bring in their purse, the only time a bag would need to be left outside the fitting room, is if it's a shopping bag of some sort.... So truly don't understand why the ~5'4, green top, brown bottoms, young female staff member working the fitting rooms at about 9:50 am this morning, had going on with her today... but I truly will never understand where unprovoked rudeness is ok? As someone who has worked retail in the past, I can understand a bad day.. but I quite literally just walked up and asked to try on one top.. I don't see anything within that short period of time of me walking up to her, where I could have created a reason as to why she was instantly defensive and rude. read more

As a young girl, I used to accompany my mom to these as she searched for cutlery and plastic encased, XXL "polo" shirts for my family in India. Boy - has this store changed. Walked in expecting to grab a backpack for an upcoming hiking trip, and walked out with several pieces from some of the designers I've been transitioning to and curating into my young adult wardrobe (after gawking in their brick and mortar SF flagships). Among those were Frame/Rag&Bone/L'agence denim, Hudson leather, James Perse, Current Elliot, Theory, Alice +Olivia, Scotch&Soda. I was expecting ill-fitting "off" pieces, but had some great successes in the fitting room. Size selection is limited, so you find what you find. The beauty section also seemed impressive - Nars, Bobbi brown, Stila - all make an appearance. Prices were obviously lower than direct from the retailer, but nothing is dirt cheap. I'd liken the value to a Nordstrom Rack. I'm not sure how stuff ends up at TJ maxx - whether it is defective in some way or just overstock from a previous season. Either way, I was thrilled with my haul and would definitely come back to be further surprised, lol. read more

Sleepy little Vineyard Center....home of McDonald's, most notably, and TJ Maxx. One of those TJM's that are a surprise find. En route to Clos LaChance, I was a bit early and decided to swing off into this strip mall to peruse the home section. Much smaller and from fell glance, an inventory that may be slightly less cutting edge and a bit dowdier in look (lighting? not bustling?) than other branches. Spotted an item or two that I would give some serious weight had I more time to deliberate. Preferring the smaller town TJMaxx such as this one and one I recently frequented in Livermore, I like shopping without crowds and the feel of the 'competition' eyeing same item. Don't have the opp to get to a TJMaxx too often, and this neighborhood one might fit well for one who has much time to sift through and peruse. read more

This TJ Maxx store is really clean and organized with a good selection of women's clothing, beauty products, shoes, home decor, and anything else you can possibly think of. When I dropped in a few weeks ago, I was on the hunt for a new pair of skinny jeans. The jean selection is very nice-lots of colors, sizes, and styles. I ended finding a great fitting pair of dark blue skinny jeans for only $16. They seem like good quality. I am hoping they will last a few years. I didn't really interact with staff, so I can't really comment on customer service, but the lady working in the fitting room was really nice and helpful. If you can ignore the fact that the cashiers always try to get you to open their credit card, then this store is a great stop for budget friendly shopping. read more

As a discount store, it's not as bad as some others that I've been to. Things are usually where they're supposed to be generally. Soaps are with soaps, etc, but not the same soaps are with each other. So you may have to hunt around a little for the soap you're looking for. Just downgraded this store because it abandoned the male consumer. This used to be my go to spot to pick a nice shirt, jacket, jeans, shorts or t skirt. There used to be walls of t shirts and shorts, sweaters and other things. They have reduced the men's department to one aisle and some nick nacks. I find the staff friendly and product okay for area. Sometimes the store is messy but i find that is always a reflection on the customers not the store. If you go when they have just opened they are very clean. In nice areas stores are tidier and people have respect for property. This place has the worst customer service. Every time I go in I leave wishing I'd never stopped by, and today was more of the same. Was waiting to try on clothes at the fitting room, woman behind the desk let me but all rooms were full except the one reserved for wheelchair patrons. I mentioned it to her and she instructed me to use it anyway. My mother always told me not to use the special oversized room because there was only one so I questioned her and boy was she rude to me. Be prepared.... Most of the time this place is pretty disorganized. But if you are a shopper and love the hunt, you'll enjoy shopping here. They do have a good selection of just about anything you could possibly looking for. They have lotions, decor, furniture, food,books, bedding, you name it.
