After a friend recommended hog wire for my garden trellis and TS appeared to have the best pricing, off to Gilroy I drove. Although I didn't need a lot of hog wire, I was in the area. Upon entering, I was amazed at how large the store was and the variety......kayaks to chickens. Service was friendly. If you need to cut the hog wire to fit in your vehicle, you must bring your own bolt cutters and cut the wire yourself, but TS will load it for you. If you're in the area, it's a fun store to see all the possibilities. read more

Tractor supply was great at providing information I was unhappy with PetVet - this company was offering vet services - this is not tractor supply's fault, which is why I didn't 1 star but wanted to warn anyone looking for information about PetVet PetVet setup inside tractor supply - Waited 3 hours in line for a vet while pregnant as I didn't think administrating a round of shot for my 13 year old dog (like ive had done many times) would take long - once my husband and I finally reached the front of the line, Doctor dendnholz stated she couldn't hear my dogs heart rate enough. Believe all these vets obtained their degree with chatGPT, do not go here. They will wait until you get to the front and the moment seeing the Vet to tell you that. They turned away multiple people in front of me for the same reason so it's not me just complaining about a valid call a vet had, she was just trying to quickly get through the line. My dog was checked my another vet in the last 5 months, full check up and perfectly healthy. The vet excuse was that she couldn't hear "well enough" (we were the 5th people she had told this to and probably more) These vets are unqualified to be vets so I wouldn't trust your dog or fur baby in their hands. The lady that calls herself a vet is named Doctor dendnholz in our particular situation. Weird ass place. Never been there before but a family member of mine really wanted to get some thing from there they saw the other day. So we show up, there was a clear price on the shelf that was just under $100, they also got these metal things from the bins in the back that clearly said 69¢ each. I grabbed 2 things as well that said all of that stuff was 20% off. We go to the register & my family member pays their stuff first and it rings up to over $200 which is insane, the metal stuff should've been around $10 maximum and it rung up nearly $30. The main thing they wanted, on the shelf was priced at $89- and there were many back there btw so it wasn't in the wrong spot. Thing rang up to $200 almost & they kept nagging us about the stupid protection thing for a year it would be like $20, we said no and they kept insisting and re-stating that "are you sure... if something happens you'll have to pay the $200 again do you want that" like that wasn't even the price originally?? And they kept insisting that it was probably in the wrong spot yet they wouldn't be bothered to check. While that happened the cashier who was having her bitchy attitude switches places with another dumbass and goes "oh, he'll ring this up" and just dips. Same bs all over again, he's huffing and puffing at us that "no it's $200, you probably read the wrong thing..." honestly if it was me I would've just gotten tf out but my family member really needed the thing apparently so they insisted on getting it anyway so I couldn't do much atp lol. Now I hand over my stuff to pay and again it was priced at original price, I told the cashier that there was a clear sign in the isle saying the bird stuff was 20% off and they kept asking questions about "Are you sure?... where was that??...." And I was about to go fkn get it and bring it over atp but they just gave me a stare and started clicking stuff on the screen to add the discount. I had a great experience with the PetVet Clinic. We took our puppy in to get his first puppy shots. I was nervous at first. We had a great package deal for $94(included a lot of stuff). The service and care for our puppy was amazing. I appreciate the vet techs and doctor. The team was so sweet and informative, explaining to us everything they were doing. The Tractor Supply in Gilroy has terrible customer service. I ordered on line and when I went to the store to pick up my order I was told they didn't have one of the items. How can that be, I asked, since I paid for it on line? Then the manager got nasty and her 'Sargent at arms' did too. They finally found a bag that was tucked under a shelf on the floor. The only professional person was the young guy who brought my packages to my car and he didn't have anything good to say about TS. Here's the thing, you guys need to hire employees and pay them a decent salary and train them well. I know this could be a better store if you invest in your people! I buy all my grain from TSC but I dread having to do business with this location. Half the time the shelves are empty in the horse section, idiot employees are completely useless. I put in an order for curbside pickup of eight bags of grain a couple months ago. I called from the parking lot but nobody picked up. With my phone still ringing I walked in and there were three morons wearing TSC uniforms flirting with each other at the registers, you could hear the phones ringing on the loud speaker. I sat in my truck as one of the staff members loaded the grain bags two at a time in the back seat, explaining that they didn't answer the phones "because they're new here." Ok dumbass. Fast forward to today and I pulled one of the grain bags out of the truck to refill my feed cans, and what should fall on the ground but two pair of underwear - literally, a pair of men's and women's underwear were sandwiched between two grain bags. Your moron employees are literally banging each other in the grain storage area and hastily hid their disgusting undergarments between two bags of Pro Force Fuel. I don't expect much from this store, but this shit is a new low. Get it together, check the cameras or something. This is nasty. read more

I've sent three emails to corporate. The first two were replied too me. They stated someone from the Gilroy office would contact me within 48 hours. After three weeks waiting the first time and a month the 2nd time, nothing. Last week I sent another email to corporate but have had no reply. I won't be coming back to this store anymore for their shady sales practices. I purchased four shirts from a display rack that stated two for $25. No where did it state on the display that only applies too two shirts only. I received the discount on the first two shirts and charged full price on the last two shirts. I asked the checker about this and he stated the discount shows at the bottom of the receipt, it only showed the discount for two shirts. I told him I wanted to return the last two shirts. He told me I couldn't as it was already paid for and they were non refundable. He then ignored me and started checking the next customer. This was a bait and switch sale too me. The shady sale was wrong. The shirts in question were Carhartt T-shirts. I was charged $16.95 for one shirt and $19.95 for the next shirt. Both the same colors and type. read more

I needed dog food and dewormer for my puppy. This is the closest Tractor Supply to where we currently live, so we had to travel for almost an hour to get there. Upon arrival, this was the best stocked Tractor Supply I have been to between Kentucky and California, not only did I find the 45lb bag of dog food and her dewormer, but there was a GREAT selection of dog toys and I got her two of those. The last Tractor Supply we went to had very low stock of toys and we had to just settle on an option, but Gilroy's selection was better than Petsmart! At checkout one of the guys asked if they could give my puppy a treat and loved on her while I was checking out. The cashier was super sweet and helped me settle in the food better and loved on my puppy as well before we left the store. This place has it all. Every time I think of something I need for our American Bully I come here. I've purchased dog food, kennel lining, pig ears, dog treats, and puppy shots. They even have a chart for when to give your puppy his shots. The employees here are very kind and in no rush to do anything else but help the customers. When I cannot find an item they are helpful to find what you need. Thanks tractor supply employees. BTW diamond puppy dog food is $30 for 40lbs. They also have shipments coming in all the time. This past weekend I needed to buy 4 stock tanks, and I needed the 2x2x6 foot size. I've gotten these before at TS, so I checked online to make sure they were in stock and headed to Gilroy to pick them up. You can imagine my surprise getting to the store only to find that they do NOT have them in stock. Not even 1. In fact the only stock tanks that were in stock were the very large 8' wide size or the giant round ones. I went to the register to see if maybe they had some stored somewhere else that I didn't see since the website says they were in stock. I was just shocked to hear the following feedback from the cashier: "No we don't have those in stock. They sold out a while back." So I asked when more would be arriving: "We don't really know. The trucks just show up and we get what they ship us." Wow. Really? So the store personnel have no idea what shipments are coming in? Yikes, that seems inefficient. "I can give you a rain check and we can call you when they come in." Ok, that might work, but how long would I have to wait? "We don't really know. There are already about 8 or 10 people ahead of you waiting on those. And since we don't know what shipments are coming, I can't really tell you how long it would take." So let's summarize the Tractor Supply customer experience: - You don't have what you told me you had in stock online. - You can't really tell me when they might arrive. - You can't special order them. - You can do a rain check, but you can't give me any estimate when it would actually be filled. - You can't keep up with demand on a simple product. This fiasco wasted 2 hrs of my time and a bunch of fuel. And as of this morning, your website STILL shows them to be in stock. This has to be one of the poorest customer experiences I've encountered in a long time. The only bonus? Forcing me to shop around I found them cheaper somewhere else. I originally tried contacting TS on their website to provide feedback. No one ever responded, so that's why I'm posting this review. Poor service in store, poor service online. read more

My boss gave me a check for over 4K to buy fencing materials; they didn't have stock, so I got a rain check and materials were ordered. About 4 weeks later I got a call that part of the materials arrived; when I asked when the rest of the stuff arrived they told me that I had to pick this up first, otherwise they couldn't place a new order... Going to give 2* for the simple fact that they had what i needed in stock. Let me start off by saying I've never had a problem here until tonight!! Came in to buy an auger with a 3pt. element, arrived and it was disassembled. The man in the back who had to assemble it was far from knowledgeable and extremely belittling and down right rude. Never in my life have i witnessed such poor customer service. First saying they had no cardboard or pallets to lay in the truck to transport it, telling us most people bring "real" trucks (we brought our dodge ram), extreme sarcasm and to top it off he (Kevin Smith) invited us back to the store after he gets off of work @10pm to settle things!!! I come here so often for just the refill on propane, but they still know me by name. And Patrick in particular has been helpful each one of those times. So when I came in the doors yesterday, I didn't have to say a word and Patrick knew me by name and exactly what I wanted. I always try and get there before dark because it is kinda dangerous to be refilling propane tanks at night and I doubt the company supplies their staff with headlamps.(saw some others complaining about that too) But my real question is to Tractor Supply, seeing as how many assistant managers have come and go from that place, WHY ISN'T PATRICK A MANAGER YET? He's helpful every time, has enough thought process to remember names and exactly what someone needs, and he's polite.
