Shopping during holiday hours close to 11pm but not quite. Announcement was made that the store would close in 10 mins. Lady at the front perhaps a manager? Is speaking very loudly to another member that they want to close the store already and wish they could kick everyone out but can't out in a rude tone. Not acknowledging that other customers are in the store and can hear this as well. I would understand this attitude if I was in the store past 11 but I wasn't. as a corporation the store closes an hour later during holidays? It's valid to have the feeling of wanting to go home but it's completely unnecessary to voice it very loudly while other paying customers are present. Unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Marshals is a great place to find good name brands and not break the bank. Prices are reasonable and you know your getting a good price on items purchased from here. Needed some Hawaiian themed shirts for in the future and decided to come in and see what they had available. I was a bit sadden to the fact that the selection was minimal and the size i need was a popular size. Found a couple I liked and i was on way to the register for check out. I only go here because it's the only one close but the employees are SO RUDE!!!!!! Extremely rude!! They never have any bags for the customers . But offer you ones you have to buy for $1. Great Marshalls! Yes, it's a chain store and you can find similar brands elsewhere but out of all the Marshalls I have been to this location is my favorite it's consistently clean and well-stocked. I came in today because I needed some new polo club fragrance to use after my gym sessions. I bought two boxes for less than what I would paid for on Amazon. Once I found out they sold this brand at Marshalls I stopped buying them online. Great customer service, they have something for everyone here. The Gilroy Marshalls has the system down to a science. My husband and I just came in (3/17/24 around 3:15pm) to get a sensor tag removed from a men's shirt that Los banos store missed. The cashier said this isn't the receipt for item. It seemed the $24.99 tag went scanned for swimwear, clearly it's a men's shirt. She didn't rescan to see error only looking at first 4 numbers. She calls manager. Then says she'll remove if we aren't planning to return. After she removes it, she calls manager and I hear her say on phone they had attitudes. That's when I turn back around before walking out and let her know I heard what you said, call your manager. Manager comes out and I told her it's not ok what she said to you on phone and clearly it's not ok you as higher up should be entertaining her behavior. She said you didn't hear what I said, mind you cashier hung up when I heard her so she didn't have time to respond. Manager is smiling, and I said you think this is funny as you're smiling, her response is what should I do frown. It's very unprofessional their approach, their verbal responses, and customer service lacks greatly. 1st approach should've been "Let me see what I can do", let me scan item, let's get this taken care of for you" Training is needed greatly. read more

I would appreciate signage all over the store saying you can't even try on a jacket and look in the multiple mirrors around the store. Being chastised by your manager is absolutely unacceptable. There really is no difference between all your employees and customers touching everything in the store with their hands, and me trying on a jacket over my shoulders since your dressing rooms are closed. I'm not paying $65 for a jacket that I can try on at home and return but not even look at myself in the mirror in the store. It makes zero sense. Take the mirrors out, or put signage up. I understand times are strange with COVID, but there's no consistency. Daniela- the laziest incompetent manager I have ever encountered. You don't need to avoid answering the calls anymore. She answered the call several times but would not speak but would only listen. I have already reported you to the Marshalls Executive Office. Note to everyone! Always check your receipts before leaving the store. I was double billed on 2 items and she wants me to drive back from San Mateo to Gilroy to get a credit or refund. I have spoken to other Marshalls manager and they stated that there are several option to get a refund/credit without driving back to the Gilroy Marshalls. read more

On a mission for an outfit for a funeral, one for me, one for my BF. I found a black dress and a cardigan $27 total. Also found a Dockers men's reversible belt for my BF for $10 (looks just like the $30 Calvin Klein outlet belt.) if you don't need to CL logo for show or ego, the Dockers belt works just fine. With the holidays coming and the long lines in Marshall's its actually been enjoyable. I love that all the check out stands are open and move fast considering the lines go to back to the store. The staff do a great job at keeping the shelves stocked and keep the lines running smoothly. My daughter n I both couldn't believe how fast the line moved. read more

I have gone to this store a few times since it opened in the former Linens and Things building near Lowes. I went two days days after the opening so naturally it was crowded then. I only recently bought anything from Marshalls, twice already. Since I work at their sister store Home Goods, I'm able to get an employee discount. This store is a little different from Home Goods, though, since Marshalls has clothing and shoes. The customer service was excellent for the first two times I've been in here. read more

What's not to like about this store? If you have the patience to look for a great deal then this is the place for you. This store is much nicer than any Ross Dept Store out there. And since Marshalls and TJ Maxx are sister stores they carry similar stuff. You can guarantee to pay less for dept store products. And no, they are not past season items. The wife and i usually make a purchase of a single or sometimes more items depends on our findings. The checkout line here is better than most Marshalls. used to be one of my favorite marshalls... sadly its going downhill. Today I asked at checkout for a price on an item that was on the christmas section( xmas were 50% off) & some other guy just butted into the convo and was acting like a smart ass. He said that its clearly not a xmas decor & was pointing out all the xmas decor one by one! It was just one qs, no need to point out all the things.
