Bought a suitcase here approximately 1 year ago. I used it twice before it broke. The handle will not go down. When I took it in to replace it they said they have a 30 day return policy. I had a really frustrating experience here tonight, totally not aligned with experiences at other Nordstrom stores or Nordstrom Racks. While checking out, the cashier informed me that one of the pants I was purchasing was final sale and asked if I had tried it on. When I said no, he actually recommended that I do so before completing the purchase. I went back to the fitting room at 8:40 PM, and the store doesn't close until 9:00 PM. Two male employees were standing there talking, and when I asked if I could try something on, they told me the fitting rooms were already closed. I explained that it would be a quick try-on and that the item was final sale, but they still refused to open the fitting room. Closing the fitting rooms 20 minutes before the store closes--especially when customers are still actively checking out--is poor customer service. Don't call yourself Nordstrom Rack if you can't provide that level of service. read more

Got the opportunity to ahead the grand opening ahead of the official store opening. Kudos to Nordstrom and everyone involved. The event was well organized! So many great brands to shop from. The place is large, laid out thoughtfully, clean and with plenty of friendly employees. Found so many great deals as well. read more

This Nordstrom rack is not the best and pretty small. The selection was not as great as the oakridge mall one and the Saratoga location. It's gilroy and so I didn't expect to much but because it is Nordstrom I did expect to have some good finds. I'm not wow'd by it. I had more deals and finds at Marshall's sadly. I went opening week. Ignore the google map. I could have gotten off on at a closer exit. Maybe i got it wrong. Brand new. The place is not handicap safe. Aisles are too close together. Till 4/28, you spent $100, you get $20 off. Not sure for future use or what. Giving away free shopping bag. The place was crowded for a weekday. Im sure more so on weekend. Was excited to visit the new store. Living in Hollister, going to a mall was a drive. So I was thrilled to it finally open!! Sadly, I didn't buy a thing. The aisles were so tight, and the store was small and just full of junk, it seemed like. And trust me, I'm one of those who buys even if I don't need it. So, hopefully, they straighten it up and got some good stuff. It felt like a Ross Store, and I avoid Ross!!! Not good. I'll try again in a few months. read more

Awful customer service- unfriendly and rude. Not a varied selection of sizes and items. Some items I had seen at TJ Maxx for a better value.

I just wanted to treat my wife and myself. I wanted us to feel confident , just wanted to get some nice clothes, to look good and feel good. But when we left this Nordstrom Rack in Gilroy, we felt less than, inferior thats for sure. Like we didn't meet the quality or standards to shop there. My wife and I work hard for every dam dime we got, so for us to splurge what little we have on ourselves is a big deal. We erred the right to feel good about ourselves but the way the manager Marcos A. And his LP followed us. Watching every move we made, like we are some kinda low life criminals basically escorting us from rack to rack until we were at the register. It was so obvious it was embarrassing. I went into your Nordstrom Rack location in Gilroy Around 11:30 on 08/19:24. I had a gift card with $100 on it . I went to check out and the first girl that helped me was rude from the start. She hasn't happy just looked like she didn't want to be there. Then she ran my gift card 3 times and said there is nothing on it and I needed to call customer service. I got a little mad and left the store. As soon as I got in the car I called the customer service line and hit the number to check my balance on my card. It was $100 I didn't have an issue. Then I when ahead and spoke to a customer support person. (She was very helpful and sweet) she said there was $100 on the gift card and shouldn't be an issue. I kept her on the phone and went back in the store like she had told me to do. And ask for the store manager. The manager came to the front I explained what had happened and said maybe it was entered in wrong. She told me "well there is nothing I can do if there is no money on the card". ( without even looking up the card) I had responded to that saying that there is money on the card and that it was entered in wrong. She said well if it's empty I can't do anything I told her to check it. She did and of course there was money on the card. The store manager wasn't even pleasant either. I have worked in customer service for years and I get it some people have a bad day but you are a store manager... either change your attitude or don't work here. I am a very happy go lucky person but this experience and interaction at the Gilroy location put a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be going back to this location. read more

I love Nordstrom rack, but this location feels small with a Ross like selection. The service was not there despite all the employees I saw all over the store. Very unorganized with the women's clothing sizing. Very small home section. Shoes were more organized. There was a man who I assume to be undercover loss prevention that wouldn't stop watching me and following me as I tried on shoes. That made me feel like I shouldn't spend there, I ended up buying one thing. Which isn't like me when I go to Nordstrom rack in other locations or online. I usually spend $100-$400 but left only spending $37. I was intending to get my husband and I some clothing and shoes, maybe a purse or sunglasses, but nothing really got my attention. No one greeted me no one asked if I needed help. Some supervisor girl almost crashed into me while on some device and I had to say excuse me to avoid colliding. Over all it left a bad impression. I went in with my mom & we found a very cute green billabong sweater that was $60 but it had makeup all over the collar of it. We asked a head lady if we can get a discount bc there was only 1 & she said no & gave attitude to my mom. She said she doesn't give discounts & everything is sold as is. Its truly disappointing especially when I thought it would be nice walking in there for my first time , def not coming back I didn't like the atmosphere read more
