So on the pandas I purchased they are 6.5y. The nike stitch on the back, is way off especiallythe E.. the tag behind the tounge is supposed to have the R with a circle around it next to the swoosh. If I could I would not give any stars to this shoe palace. They have the worst customer service. Specifically the employees working on Sunday, July 31, 2022 around 2pm. Monique or ranya "supposedly the manager" she was blonde was rude and kept making up excuses as to why the price on the shoe box was marked lower ($34.99) than what she actually charged ($79.99) and try to act like she had not just rang us up. I'm sorry but I've worked in retail before and let me tell you that I was taught that the customer was always right and you want to make sure you customer is pleased and a happy shopper. Not this staff. Since I walked in and ask they were trying to turn me away and were not even interested in asking any manager until I raised my voice. They are Fast, Helpful and they provide tips on what is on sale, discounts that wasn't announced, next shoe alternative to the ones that are out of stock or they will look up the next inventory and ask if you want them to give them a call or just drop by when the inventory arrives. Very knowledgeable and these guys/gals won't hound, pursue, pressure you like most other retails sales! These peeps move around the whole store and they remember who they have helped! Asked for a black, they didnt have, ridiculous aa black should be a common find.. Nevertheless, we settled for the red one.. As we went to the cash register, 2 registers were lit but only 1 guy was there so we fell in line at the other counter since the other guy was attending to another customer.. He asked us then to move to his line and when we moved, he asked us that the line was on the other side (where we initially stood).. After waiting there a young guy tried to assist us but the first cashier guy who ignored us first called us and said he will ring our order.. I got pissed and said you're making us dance here, we were not buying a cheap shoes!! So he rang the item and paid for it and just left.. The experience here was awsome today. It was early so there wasn't many people in the store. The workers were extremely helpful and knew everything about shoes. All of them were able to answer any questions we had and made sure they weren't hovering over us either. I was happy with everything they had in stock for kids. Yet as for women's shoes, all the new styles didn't have my size and they didn't have the shoes my husband originally was looking for here. But I found some great UGGs that weren't out on the sales floor yet. Sweet! Pink Leopard. The shoes we picked out for the kids are so cool. And we were able to get the same ones for our son as well as our daughter. Pink for her and gray for him. I just want to thank shoe palace for offering great customer service and doing your job well. This is the second shoe palace I've reviewed and I gotta give it up to the guys at the Gilroy site. These guys are some hard working fellas. From the moment we stepped in, they greeted us and they helped us in finding the right shoe sizes and t-shirts. I believe Octavio was our sales person and I think he was only 16, but he was on point. I used to work at a shoe store, so I know how hard it is to get sales or how hard it is to deal with some customers. I must admit, he was a bit pushy at times to get a sale, but we knew that he was just trying to get his stores' numbers up. The store is well maintained and you can see that these guys were not lazy. The were constantly moving around, fixing or lacing shoes. When we were going to pay for our items, my friend's credit card had a problem, but Sergio, the manager of the day, was nice and patient while we called our credit card company to see what was going on with our card. I'll definitely visit these guys again whenever I'm down in Gilroy. read more

Hands down this is my favorite Shoe Palace! I always drive the extra 30 minutes to Gilroy because of the outstanding service provided (oh, and because I love the Cotton On store right next to it). Walking in, you will notice how spotless this store is and I am always greeted by the friendly employees. I love that they actually give you room to shop but are still attentive unlike some other stores, where sales people harass you causing you to walk out OR feel pressured to buy something you don't want. The manager, Matthew, always takes care of me whenever I come shoe shopping. The last time I was here, they didn't have the size needed in the specific shoe, but instead of hustling me into a different size, he ordered it for me and contacted me as soon as it came in. It was suggested to us that we try the SP, well we have been to the SP in the mall and have experienced horrible service and the music was so loud I couldn't think. Today, we walked in with great customer service from Kivet who didn't try to sell me an overpriced shoe. He connected with my son and asked him what he liked in a basketball shoe and then guided him from a fashion shoe to a BB shoe that would benefit his needs while also fitting the shoe towards his body type. I had a couple of bad experiences at this location. This store was chaotic. All the employees were running from one end of the store to the other rushing to get the next shoe sale. I hated having to wait for someone to come up to the counter to ring me up. There should always be someone at the cash registrar ready to help. For a pair of shoes that was out of stock in their store I was offered FREE ground shipping and told that the shoe would come from warehouses within 1-2 business days with delivery times ranging from 4-5 business days to their store. When I'd go and ask if my order had arrived, twice they were not able to locate the shoe because they hadn't "sorted the shipment". I asked for my money back. Prices are great but the service sucked and that's enough for me to stay away. read more

Today I went into the store with my daughter. Like normal, when we walked in, we were greeted by a young man. We proceeded to browse the shoes. 1st off, the store was not busy at all and had around 10 employees. When my daughter found a shoe, we walked toward 2 female employees conversing. Oh, they didn't stop when we approached them, so I let them finish their conversation. They both just looked. I literally had to ask them which one wanted to help us. One of the females said "you need a shoe"? Seriously, no I'm just holding the shoe. We gave her the sizes and she walked away reluctantly. I started to leave at that moment, but didn't. When she brought the shoes, she seemed a bit more pleasant. She hands us a shoe. I tried taking the shoe horn out, but couldn't, so handed it to my daughter. She removed it, but needed help with the laces. I started to undo them, then just told the girl she could leave because she was not being helpful. She said she couldn't leave the boxes. The whole time, Ms. Too Pretty to Work, is just standing there watching as we struggle. She asked another female employee to take over. I said good. Hoping the 2nd girl would be more pleasant. Her attitude wasn't as bad, but not better either. Unfortunately I was so disgusted, I grabbed my daughter, left the shoe, and walked out. The best customer service was through the phone and when all other shoe palaces put me on hold to later hang up minutes later, this shoe palace didn't. I wish I got the name of the guy who helped us at the register...McKenzie? His son is McArthur Ryan I think. Anyway, I want to give him a shout out for the way he handled a rude customer. My friend and I were in the middle of a transaction. However, the credit card machine was taking long to process so he struck a conversation with us. My friend has a daughter of 4, and he mentioned that he has a son who is 2 years old. We were chatting when all of a sudden the lady behind us said loudly with an attitude, "I'm ready!" We all turned around to look at her. She put her hands on her hips and said loudly again, "uh, I'm ready!" Needless to say we were stunned at her rudeness. The cashier politely explained that we were not just talking, that he was actually waiting for the card machine to process our transaction. He apologized to the rude lady and explained he didn't have control over the speed of the card machine and he was talking to us to be polite while waiting. He whispered an apology to us and he felt bad for the uncomfortable situation. The guy gave us an exceptional customer service, and I want to make sure his management knows it. I like this SP the best its a little out of my way since I live in SJ. But I dont mind since the service I get there seems to be above the rest. When I go there Matthew helps me out I think hes the manager. He always makes sure not just me but all the customers are taken care of, hes really nice Not only that he remembered my name from previous visits which i liked it kind of showed that he really paid attention.. Spent $110 on my very first pair of Jordans about 6 months ago. I wore them once and they were not comfortable at the end of the day. I wasn't going to post anything but, all I see on here is comments about poor service. Well I had horrible service as well. I went into the store in the morning and spoke with some rude male manager. I think he had a black beard. He was talking on the phone while helping me although he acted like he could care less. Before I could say anything the manager told me that I couldn't get a refund. I didn't even want a refund. All I wanted was to see if I could exchange them. That was a no as well. The shoes did not look worn nor did they have any scratches or scuffs. And to the person who responds to these reviews stop saying, "I hope you come back and see us." How about you forget responding to the reviews and concentrate on your customer service.
